Quote from: Renegade Quark on Today at 12:58:46 AMWhat the Democrats fail to comprehend is, you take ALL of the billionaires' and it would only fund the government for about 11 months. Then what? The billionaires are broke and we are no better off.

The harsh reality is that to raise a substantial amount of tax revenue, you must tax the broadest base possible. That is us. It's not pretty but it's true.
That is what libtard parties end up doing anyway after they win elections.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani claimed a man throwing flaming jars outside Gracie Mansion was not committing terrorism, saying he shouted "Aloha Snackbar Bar," which he described as a Hawaiian greeting and a request for cocktails. He insisted the devices were just "environmentally conscious smoke emitters."

Media outlets mocked the situation with headlines praising "diversity sparks," while critics sarcastically suggested the Bomb Squad might soon be renamed the "Festive Sparkler Response Team."

In the latest about-face in his nascent term in office, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has reversed course on a promise he made about traffic in the Big Apple.

The New York Post reported Thursday that Mamdani has walked back his commitment to enact a "daylighting" policy at intersection crosswalks.

Daylighting is a policy designed to ban parking near pedestrian crosswalks, allowing for safer travel by foot throughout the city.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani said on Feb. 26 that he had a "productive meeting" with President Donald Trump at the White House. It was their second meeting since Mamdani's election last November.

"I had a productive meeting with President Trump this afternoon. I'm looking forward to building more housing in New York City," Mamdani said on X, confirming the meeting.

Mamdani spokesman Joe Calvello told reporters that the mayor pitched the president a project to build an estimated 12,000 housing units in the city.

Mamdani is raising the snow shovelling city wage to $30 per hour. I believe in paying people a decent wage, but is this the best use of resources. Wouldn't it be better to hire private snow plows, froint end loaders, and dump trucks.

The Dem governor of NY is standing firm against Mamdani's outrageous demands.
