OCtranspo incentivized the use of public transit services a week ago by making all bus and light rail services free. And as a nod of the head to how important their drivers are, commuters are told to go to the back of the bus.

They tell people not to drink and drive or speed and what do people do?

So they tell people to stay inside and there is a certain type of person who snubs their nose at good advice.

I am following social distancing rules laid out by our provincial government.

Do you use public transport Seoulbro?

I've got sanitizer wipes in her car, and hand wash and Glen 20 at the entrance with a bucket of warmish water there for when she gets home plus a fresh hand towel... she only has to take off her shoes... spray them down, then wash and dry her hands, then go directly to the shower and put her clothes and eventually towel in them... it's pretty clear cut... but...

Most of the people in my village today... they're treating it as early holidays...

Some are trying...but not many... and the fcking kids that are out! I've seen parents picking up their kids after work and loading their bicycles onto car carriers... they've basically unleashed them to their own devices and grab em on the way home...

...this is not going to end well unless the Fed and States do a total lockdown with regular patrols...

Last night I heard police choppers doing at least a dozen passes. I suspect they're buzzing as many villages and towns as they can to give the impression that there's zero tolerance... but they can't stop teens and twenty somethings... they don't care.

It's over...

My 24 year old just came to randomly visit a few minutes ago...he tried to explain he was totally healthy and to let him in...like the fact he was standing in line for unemployment benefits earlier today in the city wouldn't factor in nor me getting broken ribs a few days ago couldn't be a big complication if he infected me... he just looked at me puzzled...like "oh dad... you paranoid bugger"...

My little girl is great about staying inside and listening to directions... wife is trying but I still catch her cross contaminating things accidentally... like opening the front door when she gets home before she washes up then washes up then grabs the door handle... if I'm not out there instructing her, it's only a matter of time...  :oeudC:

When I was a kid, they had little chubby Italian immigrants running around the hospital ALL DAY wiping down door handle with methylated spirits.

I actually love the smell of metho... but these days, they don't do that in hospitals and they should.

Get a bottle of Metho and put it in the wife's car so she automatically uses it on home arrival. Kurt has got hand sanitizer in his truck. I'm right for sanitizer for a good 4 months.

I need Isocol because I have to whack that on ANY infection I get plus sterilize the area I need to jab myself...

Kurt went to get me some and they wanted $20 for what usually costs me $6....

Our house is geared up for security. The only reason I was robbed this time last year was because Kurt failed to lock the front door.

We have cans of oven cleaner with a gun handles laying around... Any intruder will be sprayed with oven cleaner.

Remember when they were quarantining people on Christmas Island?  That should have been kept up.

I just heard on the news some prick returned from a USA holiday and went to work on his bus rounds... NEAR ME... The infected arsehole has now brought the virus to us. I'm frealin' ropable.

Our authorities have let us down. ac_unsure

As for the brats in society... the little hedonist bastards, when they get the virus, it's going to hurt like hell. These idiots on our TV sets always claiming it's a mild inconvenience to the young are WRONG... As we become more and more enlightened with the truth, it might sink in. It won't though. I am now worried. I wasn't worried yesterday.

A friend of mine went to a Chemist to buy baby Nurofen. It's usual price is $18.00. This particular Chemist wanted $38.00. My friend had no choice but to pay it. They're already screwing the public. Sad times indeed.

I just want it to get out there.

Everything is going up at supermarkets so the stimulus package they've planned is going to go into greedy grocers pockets. They'll make sure of it.

Call it in to the price gouging hotline... they'll get to them eventually... but in the meantime, she should work out SAFE alternatives...

Tell Kurt to practice his baseball batting in the living room...

True, but all Western leaders acted too late.

We didn't act too late in Australia. We treated it like a pandemic from the start.

What we're doing now is dragging our feet tho.

I would be much more strict if I was in charge of the country.

The authorities in Wuhan were tough and actually condemned by the western world for their tough stance but in actual fact, their tough stance was correct.

Anyway, we'll see how we all go.

Lets see what we're all saying two weeks from now.

The unemployment queues have extended down the streets and around the corners... the self help gov. website crashed today.

The rich democratic East Asian countries took a tough restrictive approach from the very beginning..

Even now as the pandemic is quickly spreading, we have young people in our cities playing contact sports in our parks..

I don't think Western countries are prepared to accept the inconveniences to slow the spread that East Asian countries are.

WHO was also too slow at declaring a pandemic. Don't forget that.
