How did it start?

What caused it..

Some things should remain unasked

She tried to squeeze a zit..

Rubbing alcohol and band aid will cure it.

It's an infection..

The challenge is getting all the pus out......it's very thick.

Well then, you'd better hope they can find a cure before amputation is required, and you're left with nothing but a little stumpy shoulder...

I've been to my doctor twice about it..

One time they lanced it and some pus came out, but it's thick and only a lit bit came out..

It's smaller now, but it won't completely go away..

My best hope is that I get a cancellation and I can see a dermatologist.

More than likely it's just a cyst.  Quite common actually.  Not uncommon on earlobes and around the ear, but can appear all over the body.  Antibiotics will do no good, as it's not an infection.

The solution?  You simply just keep getting it lanced and drained by Doctors, or you do what I did with the cyst on my earlobe:  You hack into it with sharp objects like a scalpel, whatever you have...  And you squeeze the FUCK out of it!  It will be painful, but treat it like a zit...  Take no prisoners, and SLICE into that fucker.  Blood and puss will come out.  SQUEEZE it all out, every time!  Squeeze the fuck out of it for a few days/weeks, and you may be golden...

I dealt with an earlobe cyst this way about 10 years ago that was hassling me, and it didn't have the balls to come back!

It's an infection..

If your primary doctor has diagnosed it as an infection, then that's probably what it is. He or she is infinitely more qualified to make that call than Dr. Melonhead.

Just a little.

Alternatively, you could leave it there for Semenjaw to chew on after he's finished licking the sweat off your back. Think of it like it's his dessert.

Oh well, Mel will have to get a job.... I was just trying to be helpful...:laugh3:

I'm afraid poor Mel will have to buy his own beer when CERB ends around Labour Day.

That should be no problem....He's a millionaire remember....Us little people aren't even in his league. :laugh3:

Mel bought beer before pandemic money.

I'm sure he'll buy beer when the pandemic money runs out.

Yeah, but I just worry that he won't have enough money to buy himself a new liver when the time comes.

I know you guys have socialized "free" healthcare and all but I hear the waiting lists are really long...

The waiting lists got a whole lot longer when we cancelled surgeries and procedures and prioritized people coming in with a dry cough.

Wow, we did the same thing.

Every covid death is a cha-ching for federal dollars.

I have an infection on my left arm that won't go away..

It took a while to see a dermatologist even before the pandemic..

Unless I get a cancellation, I won't be able to see a dermatologist until April 2021.

That truely sucks.

So what happens if it is a life threatening situation? Do you get to see a doctor in a more timely manner?

I hope so.

What kind of infection?

Is it on your skin... Open wound or something?

On the inside of my lower left arm..

It's sore, swollen and has thick pus in it..

I'm taking antibiotics, but it won't go away completely.

Sounds Iike it might be an antibiotic resistant form of staff and if it is, it is nothing to fool around with. Severe cases can cause hospitalization. I don't want to alarm you but you should probably get it looked at asap.
