Death penalties aren't a deterrent or a penalty for such people.
BUT, life in prison is an ecouragement, 3 meals a day, clean bed and tv, a job, you pay no amenities and you can have visitors.
And I have never been convinced the death penalty is not a deterent. That is just what the anti- capital punishme troop think and say.
I would imagine prison is a very dangerous, and scary place.....that's a deterrent.
That's what movies would have you believe.
In Australia, it's a hotel stay, especially if you're an Indonesian human trafficker.
