The losses in the House of Representatives the Democrats suffered in the Nov. 3 election stemmed from President Donald Trump increasing voter turnout, Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.) said on Sunday.

"It was a rough and tough election and I will say this, and I've gone back and looked at numbers and other things, Donald Trump increasing Republican turnout made a big deal," said Richmond, national co-chair for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's campaign.

The majority of polls suggested Democrats would add to their majority in the House but instead Republicans have flipped 12 seats and gained a net of nine, as of current projected or certified results.

Right now the GOP is poised to take back the house in 2022. If the Georiga run off for the senate seat remains republican and it all comes together properly over the next  2 years, Biden's entire legislative agenda will be DOA. We will have 4 years of gridlock in DC like we have never seen before.

The GOP is no friend of working people either. But, this Owens guy is a Trump Republican, so he must be okay.

The more Republicans that are elected to congress and the senate, the less expensive the Biden/Harris green plans will be for American families. That's all I'm going to say about that.

Succinct and to the point.

The new congressman from Utah says BLM is nothing but a Marxist organization.

Former NFL star and GOP House candidate Burgess Owens called Black Lives Matter (BLM) a "Marxist organization" during a Thursday night appearance on Fox News' "The Story."

"They hate God, they hate the family unit, the nuclear family, and they hate capitalism, so of course they are going to feel this way," said Owens before referencing the "mayhem and death" going on in major U.S. cities along with "black business owners going out of business and black people being killed in the streets of Chicago."

Burgess Owens Defeats Utah Incumbent Democratic Rep. Ben McAdams

Burgess Owens has defeated Utah's 4th district Democratic Rep. Ben McAdams.

Owens, a former NFL player who aligned himself with President Donald Trump, gained more votes after McAdams led by a narrow number on Election Day, and at one point on the Thursday during election week, the two were only 18 votes apart.

But on Friday Owens' 2,095 vote lead made McAdams' reelection prospects seem less likely, since there were only a few thousand ballots left to be counted, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

"Voters in our District deserve a Congressman that will represent their values in Washington every day," Owens said in the month prior to the election, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. "Ben McAdams talks a big game during an election year but when he flies back to Washington, he forgets where he came from and votes with socialist Democrats nearly 90% of the time. That is unacceptable for Utah."
