A ground analysis from 2005 warns about the instability of the ground.

"quick clay" is common in Norway, Sweden and Canada.

You ought to the check the soil beneath your house.

We live close to, but not on a floodplain....that's all I know about the physical geography where we live.

Really sad thing happened in Norway.

The ground collapsed taking several houses with it.

10 people missing at first... 4 have been found dead.

The missing people include a pregnant woman, her husband and their 2 year old kid.

Oh my goodness, that's terrible..

I never read about this sinkhole in Norway, but I haven't watched much news for a few days.

Mauritania, Belarus, and Congo are ranked first second and third in the adequacy of social safety net programs. I notice Shen Li none of those countries made her list of possibilities. :laugh3:

It's becoming increasingly obvious that this country will be of the second world varirety in the coming decades. Canada in 2035 will not offer the same opportunities to succeed that the Canada we immigrated to in the 90's did. I want my two little boys to have the same or better opportunities to succeed that I had when I graduated from uni. Unfortunately, Canada won't offer them in the future. Hence, emigration.

Of course it will have to be after the pandemic ends. Also, it will have to be after July of 2021 when mom turns 60 and retires. Mom is coming with us.

All four of those countries are places we can go as oil and gas professional expats and turn it into permanent residency/citizenship. Personally, I would like Singapore because mom's younger sister immigrated there and became a Singaporean. Also, there's no chance of white libtards buying an election and running the economy into the ground and the people along with it. That is a real possibility in the US, less so in Australia and Norway.

The problem with SIngpaore is that as a city-state it has a limited number of employment options depending on my son's career choices. It also has restrictions on personal liberty, but so does Australia. Norway is cold, and like Australia and Singapore is extremely expensive to live and own property. The woke cancel culture is a major turn off. The US is the most libtardy, and I doubt we would immigrate there unless we were offered superb expat packages.

Singapore has the lowest taxes, freest economy and the most streamlined bureaucracy. The USA offers the lowest cost of living. Australia has the best educational ops for my boys. Norway offers, well cross country skiing, hunting and fishing I guess.

Don't know, but we hope to emigrate in 2022. Which country would you immigrate to and why if you were in my tight jeans?

The USA has little or no social safety net.

Ordinary workers get treated like shit.

Only Western democracy left without universal healthcare.

First of all, what are you doing here?

You tried to get us shut down when evs hosted us, remember..

You have a lot of nerve posting here..

Secondly, Shen Li is not emigrating to collect food stamps..

Any one of those countries will offer better health care than Canada for highly skilled professionals.

I looked that up....it's used as a treatment for dementia.

Our new leader will need it by the bucket load, mentally dim, confused, physically failing, belligerent, career piece of liberal shit that he is.

God help us all.

In other words, an eighty year old version of Trudeau.

Worse...Trudeau is just a little arogant snot....Biden's brain is in the process of checking out,...going by-by if you will...Just check out some of his press conferences...they're scary.. And he gets belligerent and threatens people physically who question him as in the case of his confrontation with the union auto worker. That's a common sign of people with advanced dementia. They can get paranoid and violent when others challenge them.

Trudeau just calls people bigots, and deniers who disagree with him.

How intolerant of him

You should come to the US. You could live at the Whitehouse. The next occupants love anything Chinese, especially if you bring gifts of money, pussy, adult diapers, a supply of cheap Donepezil, maybe... :sneaky2:

True Dope on the other hand, elbows women in the face who dare question the pampered little white princess.

Dead serious. CC said, it takes a lot of people to build a great country, and only one to destroy it, or something like that.

We're both in our late 30's now. The older we get, the harder it will be to become citizens of another country. Opportunities for ambitious people in this country are in decline. The time to act is in the near term and while my boys are young.

A funny story.

My mom was in an Ontario care home and not too happy with the treatment. They had a nice room where residents could have people for a private dinner party so long as they brought their own food

She had invited Debby & her sisters while she was Health Minister of the province ... so my sly mom made a point to let every head single shift nurse know that her niece the   Health Minister was coming to dinner there ... mainly just to let them know they had better treat her well

She was pretty clever   ac_biggrin

Deborah Matthews? I looked it up.

Shes ugly
