NO DUMBASS!!! They're called junk silver.
NO DUMBASS!!!!!! You keep the coins in minted form, NEVER melt them!!! NEVER!!! In minted coin form, the rest of the dumbasses know you arent scamming them.
Why are you so fukin tarded josephine?
Well, I'm not too familiar with bulk or junk silver, Lokmeer!
I just gotta few pieces from the change at the supermarket or gas station.
Some USA coins would interest me tho, like the 3 cent silver, made in the 19th century:
That was a cool lookin' coin, fits my budget too, not too expensive
The other is the US Gold dollar, also made in the 1800s.
Like the 3 cent piece, a cool item.
Also within my budget not too expensive. Maybe git one in decent condition for under $600.
Trouble with US coins is many of them are $20,000 and UP.
that's like the price of a car, eh?

If josephine had a brain, he'd have been buying junk silver coins. You can barter with those when the SHTF.
I suppose I could....Lokmeer!
I think they call that 'bulk silver'.
It's just a bunch of coins, be they US or Canadian, in very worn out condition that are sold and bought solely for their silver content.
Usually,, it's 80% or higher silver content.
I suspect what a lot of people might do is get them melted down when they have built up a sufficient quantity and have them turned into silver bars,.
Trouble is, ya gotta find a smelter you can trust.
I think my parents sent a bunch of gold to one, they declared bankruptcy and then ran off with everybody's gold. So my parents didn't get anything maybe lost upwards of $2,000.
That's why you'd try to get them in bars already made or rounds like US Gold Buffaloes weith 99.9% purity. It's already written on the gold, everyone recognizes it and so it can be sold right away for cash when you need it.
Silver pretty much the same. Trouble with silver, if the market tanks on them, silver goes down a lot more than gold. So I suspect we'll see a similar cycle repeat itself. I wouldn't doubt that silver will decline by 50% or more in a crash. Gold is more stable and doesn't decline as much.
People who are riding high on silver now, might cash in on some of their winnings while the market is good.

Damn, josephine, one of two things, I mean three things will happen to your gold when the SHTF:
1. The Cucknadian Goobermints will confiscate all your gold like they did with your guns
2. I'll show up and take all your gold by gunpoint
3. You'll try to barter with it and it'll all get taken from you cause you're softer than baby shit
I'm gonna take a break from the gold coin collecting for a while...Lokmeer!
focus my collecting efforts 'n hobbies in a different, less expensive direction for a while, eh?
Collecting gold coins is expensive & it's very easy to git carried away with overpaying for them, eh Lokmeer?
I got all these at a deal, in mint state a near current melt/bullion values for gold
I don't see how, cuz some of the items I bought are over 100 years old are rare.
Consider that your country produces billions of coins per year. runs of some American coins run into the hundreds of millions or sometimes billion mintage. ie - the 1 cent.
Anyways, some of these coins I bought only had 10,000 copies made in a given year.
I just bought the lower cost ones, eh? If I wanna bet the rarer years that'll take a a lotta searchin' & a bloody war chest of money...eh Lokmeer?!
I reckon to complete my vintage Canadian Gold Collection, I'll need at least $50,000 US.
Some of those years are extremely rare. However, I currently don't have the budget for them. A few of them alone cost more than the amount I've spent on the entire collection up to this point so far.
Ya gotta find deals when yer a collector...Lokmeer!
Otherise, ya blow yer budget fast...real fast!
