Intellectual eugenics aside, just how many people are you expecting to attract anyhow? This isn't 2004, we aren't likely to have a bunch of Fecesbook and Tumblrites discovering messageboards as The New Shiny and those that are aware of us already are from other boards in the near vicinity and who already know what to expect here.

I'd be more inclined to address what is being indexed by the search engine spiders if I wanted to play favourites on the content front. And that's understanding that there isn't likely to be many people searching for "what Are You Doing Now" threads but even so, more than there would be people stumbling across this board for the first time and scrolling straight to the recent threads portion of the index page.

Curating those results seem like a lot of effort for so little return of investment... just my thoughts.

So I looked around the entirety of the panel. No luck :(

I then reached out to the software developers on their forum and they were quite perplexed as to why anyone would want to do this. Their attitude was just make that board unavailable to guests and it wont show up in the rest posts section. They kinda scratched their heads and looked at me funny (figuratively speaking of course) when I said "yeah, but I want guests to see those boards just not in the recent posts section"

I kinda dropped it at that point being hesitant to disclose to them that we are mostly a bunch middle aged crazy people with underdeveloped maturity levels, squabbling rather religiously in petty arguments lasting decades over virtually nothing -- and somewhere, deep down in our heart of hearts, we too are embarrassed with ourselves over this behavior.  I just don't think they would empathize

I'll try to fuck around other ways to make this happen
