Tradition? BH used to have a clause in its registration agreement requiring people to have the ability to distinguish fact from fiction. Not that many could when to came to abuse threads against one another, you could write practically any old shit about someone and people would be arguing its authenticity for years afterwards. "Because traffic". Something tells me we might be watching a similar scenario play out at BF. It's also not beyond the realm of possibility that KM is content to play his part as principle target of it.

You're making one crucial mistake here and it's one people often make on the boards. You are assuming that someone else is reacting to the situation in the same way you would if it were happening to you. But you aren't him and really you have no reason to expect he is affected by this in the same way you would be. As  a matter of fact, you have reason to expect he isn't, mainly because of his history of chasing the limelight and big-noting himself using any and all means at his disposal.

He's not the only one to do it either. Frood and I did similar in the early days of BH. Granted, ours only lasted three days before we called it, but for those three days we had a great time attacking each other with material which makes the Dove/KM spat look positively trivial while the majority of the board looked on in what I can only describe as stunned horror and despair as two respected colleagues textually disemboweled each other for their own entertainment. And in our case, it was a purely fictional construct, something that proved a relief to the rest of all present when we admitted it so.

Well, excepting miscreants like Beaver Cleaver, Fox Mulder and AZtucson, they were... disappointed... that it wasn't "real".
