Finance Minister Paul Martin was the real pm when Chretien had the title.

I do not dislike his entire platform. But, I am a minimalist government kind of voter. I like Rand Paul and his dad even more.

Trump struck a unifying tone in his victory speech after a decisive and historic win in the Iowa caucuses.

With 97 percent of results in, Trump won a resounding victory by nearly 30 points. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis came in second place with about 21 percent support at the time of publication. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley came in third with about 19 percent.

I wish Trump could be magnanimous like this more often.

Bush Sr was a snake. It wouldn't surprise me to later find out that he was dusting Ron and Nancy's Wheeties and Obama-piloting the Oval on behalf of his spooks.

I became a bit politically aware during Nixon and Ford's term. We lived in Palm Springs and my grandparents would always point out Agnew's plane parked at the PS Airport when he was on a golf trip. I also knew pretty early on that Carter was a fucking disaster. My family were democRATs and they thought he was shit...and they were right.

When Reagan ran, the media portrayed it with certainty that we would have WW3 complete with nuclear annihilation. It was fear mongering to a degree I couldnt comprehend as a young teenager. Much of my class at the private Christian School I attended thought we were all gonna die if Reagan got in.

Reagan was of course elected and it really was morning in America again. The 80's were great!!! Leftist loons shreeked, one tried to murder him, but Reagan was an absolutely fantastic POTUS! He instilled confidence and pride in America and he alleviated any fears I had that the USSR was anything but a shithole destined for the scrapheap. Reagan smashed the USSR and freed the Eastern Bloc countries from decades of oppression.

Reagan put America back on top. Too bad he didnt have the support of a GOP Congress. That would have been epic!

Quote from: Herman on January 15, 2024, 11:32:27 PMWith the exception of increasing military spending, he caved on everything else. His signature issue was shrinking the size of government and Tip O'Neill stopped him dead in his tracks. Reagan was a mediocre president.
That was disappointing that he didn't try harder to get congress to control spending. He had a GOP senate.

Quote from: Frood on January 15, 2024, 11:42:55 PMYet Donald Trump lived through it too... as a businessman and not an actor.

Trump was called on in the late 80's and early 90's to run. He refused...by Oprah no less. When he wasn't a pressing threat to the establishment.

There are layers like an onion.

I remember when Trump was loved by Hollywood roayalty.

Fucktards eddie munster and cocaine mitch fucked Trumps first 2 years by siding with the russia hoaxers. They did this on purpose BTW, to derail Trumps populist momentum. They never believed Trump was a russian agent. After they fucked Trump for the first 2 years, the democRATs gave mitch and eddie munster what they wanted. EXACTLY what the incomparable Rush Limbaugh TOLD us RINO's want! RINO's prefer to be the opposition party. They NEVER want power. A RINO's sole purpose is to lead CONservatives down to the same hell democRATs want to go to at full speed via attrition.

Dont fucking doubt me!
