Quote from: Lab Flaker on Today at 02:20:38 AMWhat a snivelling little shit of a poofter. In all my years of frequenting the forum world, this scorned little Chicongonian is the first person that I've heard doing this type of shit. And to top it all off (having heard of this from you before), when I "threatened" (fucking lol) Flynn, his other alt/brother or whatever the fuck it identifies as, with the same doxxy bullshit, it had a big cry about it. Most recently too, as of last week.

I just said to the cross-dressing little cunt, Flynn, that if he wanted to write a wall of words and publicly quote me, that he should put it into context.

Fucking doxxy little queer-shit!

:shit:

 Poofer is a spaz.

He makes a lot more sense when you realize he is legit NPD.

Cluster B personalities always find a way to be hysterical or escalate a conflict. He can turn anything into a huge emotional drama.

He was just exhausting. No peace with him.

And yes I know NPD gets thrown around a lot but this guy fits it. Follows the same patterns as any narcissist.

They can be a shit ton of fun to fuck with on the internet but you definately don't want them in your actual life.

It's not obvious though. Doxxing means different things to different posters especially on venues like these where the lines often get blurred.

Quote from: . on October 29, 2024, 10:48:15 PMDefine what "doxxing" means to you.

Because by my understanding it is any information that can conceivably invoke the unsolicited involvement of a third party in someone else's life. Information which is revealed intentionally that has the potential to mess with their real life affairs in some way, physical and/or financial.

Usually it's the reveal of a persons name, though it doesn't have to be. It might be the reveal of an SSN, or a place of employement. It could be a Facebook page or an email. Once made public, that information is no longer private; the target of the reveal as been "doxxed".

Having defined the term, I know where the border lies. There is not a single instance in a quarter of a century where I can recall having revealed information that could damage a reasonably expectation of privacy, not even of the people who were freely tossing their name about the forums.

Not even then. You can ask around, but I think you already knew that.

By doxxing I mean posting personally identifying information on the open internet.

To me that's what doxxing is.

He freaked out pretty hard when I informed him that I ran a back ground check on him and found conflict between what he told me about himself and what I found.

I was nice enough to give him the chance to reconcile that....I could have just ditched then with no explanation. Which is exactly what I do when a man lies to me.

If I'm going to allow a man into my physical personal space I'm absolutely getting a background check. No one else cared. Biggy respected me for that. He totally understood and liked me more because of it.

I realize background checks can only tell you so much.

He had a meltdown about that and accused me of stalking him lol.

So that was just done at that point. I had no interest in continuing any real life interactions with a near 50 year old man who thinks so little of my safety that he throws a baby fit over a simple background check.

Plus that means he is a liar.

So I was dropping it there. He started his whole forum board tantrum and how he acted over that Switch. Holy cow.

I wouldn't have said anything to anyone. That buck stopped for me when he called my job.

And here is the thing. I knew it would hurt him and it did. So maybe it was a score settling action. I didn't think deeply on it. I more wanted him to stop and move on and my ignoring him only seemed to escalate him.

Am I above sharing information? Fuck no I'm not. But you really REALLY have to push me hard to get me to do that. I think it's stupid.

To me it's like....okay, so now you know my name and possibly my address. Now what? Oh no! Don't like...mail me something lol. Like what is anyone gonna do with that knowledge that isn't illegal and unhinged?

I piss someone off bad enough to come to my house ro try to beat me up....odds are good I'm gonna film them all psycho on my lawn, turn some music on and shoot at their feet to make them dance and then I'm gonna post that for the enjoyment of the rest of you lol

I've never seen you doxxing anyone. Not during the time we shared cyber space at least.

And it wasn't because he doxxed me or because of things he said on a forum.

It was because he called my job and attempted to get me fired. He caused me a 2 week suspension. He nearly costs me groceries and utility money and I had three kids.

I had to tap into my emergency savings because of him. He is lucky all i did was show his house to Murdock.

I ended up leaving that job anyway because I didn't want to keep dealing with him calling where I work. His ex wife told me once he starts harassing someone like that, he never quits.

It was more a real life drama than a cyber one.

Mostly I shared it because...people asked and I didn't care about his privacy.

Also i never ask for anyone's info and I don't like when it's shared with me either without the person's consent. If someone wants me to know who they are, they can share that with me themselves.

And several people have. I've had real life level conversations with several posters and it's well known anything soneone tells me privately stays with me.

I just don't do that to people.

Unless they attack me personally by trying to get me fired from a job because they ate butt hurt that I do not wish to have a relationship with them.

Quote from: hard Я on October 27, 2024, 11:46:33 AMNor have I... not even when I could have done so against those that (a) bought into the lie that I doxxed people and (b) bought into the lie that I deserved to be doxxed because of it. Like many of us here I am in receipt of a variety of information, be it freely shared or leaked to me. It doesn't make any sense to me that I would rush out to prove myself unreliable when it comes to keeping mum on privileged information simply because someone else has.

Of course, I cannot control what the rest of you do with what you know (or think you know) but I can hold myself to certain standards which precludes actions as I see as weak in others. There is a reason why in 20 years there isn't a single shred of evidence to support the claim that I publicly provided personally identifiable information about individuals; I've long decided that doxxing is weaksauce, that it's effectiveness is limited at best and that it's the hallmark of someone who is out of options. It is a Hard No for me, irrespective of the excuse.

And you are all free to decide for yourselves if I am genuine in my declaration or simply spouting a bunch of hot air, it doesn't matter from where I sit. What you think of me is secondary to what I know about myself. I am not now, nor have I even been tempted to diminish myself in my eyes simply because others around me act irresponsibly or do stupid things.
Well, that's you doing you. Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily think you are a Bad Person for returning KM's act, you wouldn't be the first doxxer I've associated with. you likely won't be the last. I just now know to exercise circumspection in what I might privately divulge to you; your reputation for finding a use case for such tactics precedes you, as it does for far too many others in this community. That's just the way it is.

Just so you know, KM doxxed me and the places I worked too... back in 2011. Six years on from that, his details were leaked to me and I did not "settle the score" then either. It established him as being untrustworthy with privileged information, a mantle I would have necessarily have worn had I felt compelled to respond in kind.

Logic, thy name is sum cun`T.

Quote from: . on October 27, 2024, 09:33:26 PMIf you're not concerned about privacy being violated then it's not an issue. KM clearly wasn't or he wouldn't have agreed with Caskur ahead of their match that the contents of his own Facebook account were fair game for use in their match. On the other hand the forum owner THE BRA1N (who was concerned with privacy) banned Caskur for repeatedly and unapologetically posting Martini's and Mr Pickles personally identifiable information at Third Rail, both during the match and after it had ended.

Who was right and who was wrong? Did KM's and Caskur's agreement that the release of certain information take precedent over THE BRA1N's wish that his site not be the vehicle for such activities? I imagine that is a discussion that some might harbor definite ideas over, though it might also reasonably be assumed that it was essentially a matter for the aforementioned combatants and the site owner to settle between themselves. The same logic might also be applied to Bastard Factory's site regarding the use of PI.

The rest of us? Well, until it comes to our own PI getting splashed about, we are effectively third parties in the discussion, left to decide for ourselves how we wish to proceed. Maybe we (like Martini) do not much care if our PI gets out, maybe we (like THE BRA1N) do not wish to be part and parcel of the trafficking of it. Wherever you stand on the matter, it ought define your own actions. At the end of the day it's you that gets to wear the consequences whichever way you jump.

Scrape the base of the barrel as a bottom feeder if it suits you fine.

As for me, I will decline.

People think abstract art is an art?  Is it?

1980s rock was technical & proficient.  90's rock was raw and simpleton.

Art was art until Picasso rebelled.  Rock was rock until Nirvana dumbed it down.

What will history say of you?  Did you create your own world, or simply exist to glom & glomp & barnacle bottom feed your way through it all?

How are you different?  If you're only different by copying & pasting personal info vs a single original retort then you are relegated to single celled organisms, revered for being beginnings but not relished for desired outcomes.
