The NDP was the government of the province I lived in Canada for 4 years. They were an unmitigated disaster.

I liked calling them the New Debt Party, the No Development Party, or the No Damned Principles Party.

 :s_laugh:

Some of them old line Republicans were surely corrupt in Illinois, but the Democrats make them all look like miscreant children stealing comic books compared to the corrupt Democrat filth that run our State today.

Quote from: Oliver the Second on January 26, 2025, 09:59:45 PMMy grandma was a yellow dog democrat (if you're under 50 you'll have to look that up) - she voted straight democrat ticket every election regardless of what was happening in the world. Always said that Republicans were the party for the rich and democrats were for the working folk.

Which, fifty years ago, was pretty much true. Today, not so much.

May parents and my grandparents always said that voting for a Democrat was a stain that could never be washed off.  I've always followed that advice.

My old man used to like the federal NDP when he came to Canada. Tommy Douglas was the leader and a real champion of the people.

Contrast that with today's elitist globalist dippers that supported Justine's illegal Emergencies Act, the carbon tax, censorship and mass immigration.
