Yep. I worked for General Dynamics back in the day when they were selling toilet seats for $500. Its easy to justify charging that because instead of sending a government employee down to Lowes to buy 1 million of part number "X" for $25/ea, they have to draw up engineering plans, inspect manufacturing, inspect packaging, etc, and viola! You now have a toilet seat that costs $500.

At least Ralph Klein in your province of Alberta only gave out rebate cheques when the deficits got paid down. People hated him for his budget cuts but at least he got the debt down. He was that old fashioned type who only spent what was in the kitty.

Btw Klein was originally a member of the Liberal party til he switched to being a conservative.
