Mark Carney said that, if elected, he would push for a transportation corridor right across this country from the West Coast to the East Coast. And that corridor would be for highways, railways and pipelines.

Since the Quebec government and your own Quebec Lieutenant, Steven Guilbeault, have been two of the biggest impediments to building a pipeline across Quebec to refineries and ports on the East Coast, how about you say right now that any increased transfers to Quebec will only come after Quebec agrees to a transportation corridor that includes a pipeline.

Prove you are a changed man Mr Carney. So far, you have not convinced anybody you want new markets for Canadian energy. All you have done is commit to emissions and production caps and Bill C-69 which is the no more pipelines bill.

Carney cited increasing trade with Europe to lessen our reliance on the U.S., knocking down federal barriers to inter-provincial trade and building new pipelines to get our energy resources to tidewater and from there to global markets.

But all these things were known weaknesses in our economy when the Liberals came to power in 2015.

Failing to act on them effectively is one reason the Liberals compiled the worst record of economic growth since the government of R.B. Bennett during the Great Depression.

Carney's appeal to voters on Thursday to give the Liberals a strong majority government to take on Trump begs the question of why, since the Liberals failed to get the job done for a decade.

Trump's talk is the symptom, the globalist Liberal Party is the disease.

As for the Carney Liberals, suddenly and starkly they're on the wrong side of public opinion. Carney — who as the United Nations Climate Envoy worked 24-7-365 for years to defund the fossil fuels industry — made it clear on Friday that he still supports an emissions cap on Alberta oil and gas.

Carney has also surrounded himself with Trudeau big wigs, ministers who regularly speak out in harsh terms against the oil and gas sector.

Most recently, Quebec's Steven Guilbeault bragged about the Carney Liberal's new carbon tax on Canadian industry.

Next, B.C.'s Jonathan Wilkinson scolded and snarked about oil and gas executives who are pushing for fast-track permits and more pipelines. "It is disappointing to see the CEOs of major Canadian energy companies seemingly looking to profit from actions being taken south of the border — to the long-term detriment of your shareholders and Canadians generally," Wilkinson said.

Unlike the picky and alarmist Liberals, the Conservatives are united, determined and firm on approving industrial projects fast and often, just as a staggering number of Canadians now want to see in this battle against Trump.

Conman's emissions/production cap and Net Zero bullshit shows he is out of step with working folks.

Canadians are all in from coast to coast on oil and gas development. I never thought I'd see the day but this includes the highest level of support in generations for a rapid expansion of Canada's oil and gas industry.

This dynamic presents a major threat to Conman's Liberals, who spent ten years blocking new pipelines.

The poll was conducted in mid-February by Yorkville Strategies for the Alberta government. In total, 1,741 Canadians were interviewed, with a 2.3 per cent margin of error 19 times out of 20.

91 per cent of respondents say Canada should expand its ability to export oil and LNG.

his includes 86 per cent pipeline support in Quebec and 92 per cent support in B.C., two provinces where historically there's been lukewarm support. Much has changed since 2017 when an Abacus poll found just 43 per cent of Canadians supported new pipelines (with 36 per cent neutral and 22 per cent against), with just 27 per cent support in Quebec, 39 per cent in B.C.

When it comes to oil and gas, 89 per cent now want more refineries and LNG terminals, 82 per cent say Canada should fast-track permits, and 72 per cent favour axing the carbon tax.

On a specific oil pipeline project, there's 82 per cent support for a new Northern Gateway pipeline to take oil and gas from Edmonton to Kitimat on the northwest B.C. coast, with 81 per cent support in B.C.

On a new Energy East pipeline taking oil from southern Alberta to Montreal and the Maritimes, there's 84 per cent support, including 77 per cent support in Quebec.

So much for oil and gas pipelines not being "socially acceptable" in Quebec.

Carney as prime minister is an insult to folks who work for a living.
