I used to go to Texas a couple times a year in my old position in Canada. There are parts of the Lonestar state where you will get a luxury home with land for $1.2 million. However, not in the metro Houston or Dallas areas.

The last housing boom began around 2000 & finally ended this year. So that was about a 25 year bull run in Vancouver housing. Canadian real estate is also in a recession.
