Sometime when you have a spare minute, open Google Maps and take a squizz at the US/Canadian border, Start at Peace Park in Vancouver... that ditch between the road and the lush, freshly mown lawn... thats the fucking border!

It used to astound the crap out of me... a couple of bobcats and a truckload of roadbase and I could have saied a fleet of fucking tanks into the US. And likely get bombed to hell and back for my troubles of course, but you worry... the point is that most Canadians are operating under the assumption that they have it better than the US and largely stick to their lane. It isn't so much that they are scared of the US, they just reckon they have it better.

That won't last forever of course, particularly not if AB and/or SK take their allegiance to The Crown and jam it sideways up Carney's bloated sphincter. Meanwhile in the US, the majority of people are concerned with kicking out illegals and a goodly percentage of them form a "well regulated militia", protected as such under the second amendment. And while the phrase "you ain't from around here, are you boy" evokes more of a hillbilly southerner image, I'm dead certain that hordes of Canuckistanian refugees hopping the border for a slice of Mom's apple pie are gonna find themselves facing some pretty stiff opposition that will only get more profound the closer you get to the prairie/flyover states.

The US is by and large a proud, if fairly quiet people. Yeah, you have your ratbags (lefties mostly) but they have been largely defanged and fewer people than ever are listening to their screams and wails of Pain and Anguish, never mind their lamentations over the fictions they create at whim. Bunch of fucking children, half of them were ranting how they would emigrate to Canada the first time Trump came to office and frankly... good riddance?

Overall, I'm liking the direction the US is taking. There's some things I'm not too keen on (Frood knows what I'm talking about here) but overall... eight out of ten? And I hope to revise that upwards come the midterms when, should the independent spirit of your founding fathers prevail, the democratic and neo-con scourge be routed utterly from Congress and the Senate.
