Disney's ABC is taking Jimmy Kimmel's late night talk show off the air indefinitely amid a controversy over his recent comments about Charlie Kirk's suspected killer.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely," an ABC spokesperson said, declining to share any further details. A representative for Kimmel did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The abrupt announcement came Wednesday evening after at least one major operator of ABC-affiliated stations said it would not broadcast the show "for the foreseeable future." The operator, Nexstar, said it "strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets."
During his Monday evening monologue, Kimmel suggested Kirk's alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, might have been a pro-Trump Republican. "The MAGA Gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel said. "In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving."
The ABC late-night host's remarks constituted "the sickest conduct possible," FCC chair Brendan Carr told right-wing podcaster Benny Johnson on Wednesday. Carr suggested his FCC could move to revoke ABC affiliate licenses as a way to force Disney to punish Kimmel.

Context is EVERYTHING in human dialogue. But that seems to be a concept that these animals attend college to remove from their repository of competent thought
Being well versed in scripture I can confidently tell you that with 800,000 words to chose from and an intellectually lazy population to mislead I can cite scripture to back up literally anything I choose.

first; about two years ago I was talking to my son in law who is married to my black daughter. He's Dominican. We were sitting there eating dinner when he asked me in front of the entire family "how could you support Trump, he's a racist" I responded with "show me one thing he's ever said or done in over 50 years of public life that is conclusive evidence of this racism you speak of" -- he took out his phone and spent the remainder of the night searching google.
Today he is 100% MAGA. that's all it took, an open mind and a realization that he was obviously being lied to.

I was arguing with the gimps at BF and the white whale made the public declaration that she had 100% conclusive evidence of Trump's racism. So I politely asked her to show me.
After two days of posturing and filibustering the BEST she could come up with is the fact that HIS FATHER was arrested in Jamaica queens on the same day the KKK was running a rally in Jamaica queens.
the man LIVED in Jamaica queens -- now, this arrest could have been for any reason from being a KKK agitator to getting into a fight with one for tresspassing on his property. Point is we don't know and will never know since the incident happened before Trump was born.
She wasn't thrilled when I hit her with my superior logic and said " if that is the best you can come up with in over 50 years of public life you're doing a better job of proving my points than I am"
this is why they hate me so much. I am light years ahead of them in terms of business acumen, intelligence and raw aptitude and I didn't have to spend a single day in those mental cesspools commonly referred to these days as "colleges"
