At least Australia trades. The Liberals under both Trudeau and Carny have killed off our best exports that the world wants. This is at the same time that the Trump administration is inking LNG deals with Europe and the world.
Canada used to have a GDP amost on par with the US when the Conservatives were in power and Obama in the white house. Now we are about thirty five thousand a year less than the US. The gap is widening as we speak.
