Quote from: JOE on Today at 01:04:28 PMBut they broke the law and cost the government tax revenue.

If it wasn't Trudeau, it was probably the big car manufacturers and others who tapped him on the shoulder to crack down on the protesters because they blocked the Detroit Windsor crossing which was costing the economy millions in lost revenue.

That's why they threw the book at them avatar_Brent Brent.

We had trucker protests on the West Coast but they didn't break any laws and there were no arrests.
Exactly Sweetie, the Liberal government of Mr. Trudeau broke the law and the Supreme Court of Canada said so too.

But, he didn't just break the law he squashed it with a giant sledgehammer. He wanted to use tanks on children in bouncy castles. This is why European lawmakers turned their backs on him when he spoke in the European parliament in Brussels.

Look Sweetie, I know you think the much younger Mr. Trudeau is handsome, but he was a ruthless dictator who habitually broke the law like a king would. Ask Ms. Raybould-Wilson or Ms. McKenna if he respected the law or dissenting opinions of his tyrannical leadership. And Mr. Carney is cut from the same cloth.

Understand now honeybunch why it is important to hold dictators like Mr. Trump and Mr. Carney's feet to the fire. They will go Tianamen on people if we freedom loving citizens become lackadaisical.

My Jo Jo is seventy years old but he is a dreamer like fourteen year old boy. He still thinks he can be one of them when he grows up.

I should have known TIDES would have their DNA on this. They have spent millions blocking Canada's economic development.

Reports from multiple media outlets, including Fox News and Breitbart News' Peter Schweizer, George Soros via his Open Society Action Fund granted $3 million to Indivisible — a progressive nonprofit founded in 2016 for the sole purpose of resisting Trump policies — to help orchestrate the No Kings protests.

"But it goes on. Soros' larger network, the Open Society Foundation, gave over $7.6 million to the same operation. So now we're almost at $11 million," says Glenn.

But Soros is just where the funding trail begins. Follow the money, and it will lead you to the Arabella Advisors Network — "a billion-dollar-a-year dark money empire that launders donations from the uber wealthy donors to grassroots activism."

Keep going down the trail and you'll find that the Bill Gates Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and Rockefeller Foundation all provided significant funding to networks supporting the No Kings protests.

But it keeps going. The Tides Foundation also made significant contributions, as did Neville Roy Singham, a U.S.-born billionaire with ties to the Chinese Communist Party who's known for funding radical leftist groups.

"You have a small club of financial elites that are bankrolling what investigative journalist Peter Schweizer calls 'Riot Inc."

IRS filings, annual reports, and public statements all paint the same picture: "Billionaires are funding the outrage machine."

Quote from: DKG on October 21, 2025, 08:42:57 PMEven CNN had to admit the shutdown and the following optics of the cosplay protests have not negatively affected Trump's net approval. Trump's approval is up one point.

Voters blame the Dems for the shutdown. And now they want to swallow their pride and open government again.
They have lots of money. They will try it again.

Quote from: Herman on October 21, 2025, 07:37:05 PMThat was $300 million wasted. It changed nothing. And now that the money is gone people know the democRATs aint got jack to offer working folks. And they shut down the government over free health care for illegals.

Folks that went know it was a waste of time. Most folks who went do not know why they were there. Watch around the five minute mark.

It was political theatre. Now that it is over, the Democrats are still in trouble. And the Liberal Party of Canada is facing political headwinds too. Carney's honeymoon is over.

...and you forget to mention that those Truckers cost businesses billions and the Government in lost revenues and taxes hey avatar_Herman Herm?

So the Canadian government was right to go after them.

I think Conservative premier Doug Ford approved because it cost Ontario money.

Fuck around with the government coffers and tax revenues and yes...they will go after you.

We has truckers protests in Vancouver too but those ones were law abiding and unlike the Ontario truckers knew the difference between obeying and breaking the law. All they did was honk their horns, have a vacation for them and their families and then go home after their demonstration

I met the bc truckers protesting and they were decent people. While there were arrests in Ontario there wasn't one incident in Vancouver.
