Canada is a quasi socialist country, eh?
Quote from: Biggie Smiles on Today at 04:06:29 PMThat is to be expected as an outcome when designed by a very skilled and determined deceiver with great power, intelligence and influence.
there is only so much of a cross section of the human population which you can turn away with the normal vices -- ie greed, lust, envy etc etc
there will always be a contingent of the populous who's natural moral compass will not allow for such.
But if you can deceive such a group under a false pretense that they are worshiping the true God when in fact they are not ... now you have extended your campaign to a far bigger playing field.
There can be only one path to truth. I have read many spiritual texts - the bible, the koran, the apocrypha some judaic writings not included in the old testament I am convinced the bible is the only text which demonstrates inspiration from something other than man and certainly contains overwhelming evidence that 99% of religions which claim to subscribe to it are false.
Quote from: Frood on Today at 03:58:37 PMI believe there's something.... the great mystery.....or afterlife.... probably a cycle of reincarnation too. Guess I'm just agnostic...dunno.
Every religion claims to have the truth.
Quote from: Biggie Smiles on Today at 03:31:52 PMsocialism is always a sexy idea until it is put into practice. Human greed is far too a formidable force to allow for such benevolence.
I know you are not a believer in God but as a believer I am convinced this yearning for socialist ideology appeals to so many because it stems from our natural preprogramming as a species to want to be cared for by a higher power. In essence, the garden of eden was socialism in it's purest form.
the problem we cannot seem to accept or sort out properly is that socialism was never meant to be placed in the hands of man and when attempted, at it's very core, runs contrary to the will of God as it is a human constructed rival to the Kingdom of God.
what is the first thing the serpent said to Eve? You are bound to be like God.. thus with the power to govern thy self?
This is why it baffles me why any alleged Christian who claims to believe in God would, in any capacity, support socialist government oversight
Quote from: Frood on Today at 02:52:37 PMSocialists are spineless and they lack souls...
Quote from: Brent on Today at 12:33:13 PMDam right I am. Traditional socialists like tartiffs and secure borders. It is progressives and their libertarian allies who sell out the working class.
Quote from: Frood on Today at 12:30:26 PMAren't you a self avowed Socialist?Dam right I am. Traditional socialists like tartiffs and secure borders. It is progressives and their libertarian allies who sell out the working class.
Quote from: Brent on Today at 12:29:02 PMSpoken like a corporatist liberatarian like Charles Koch who is disappointed he is losing cheap labour and customers for weapons.
Trump shines on the peace front. Any other Democrat or a traditional Republican would still be giving that crook Zelensky a blank cheque and there would not be a cease fire between Israel and Hamas.
Tariffs, what you call flip flopping has produced $15 trillion in domestic investments. Americans could see tariff dividend cheques. Every other president from both parties sold out the working class on trade. Just like they did on immigration.
I don't care if a few Venezuelan drug mules get blown up. Actually, I like it. Same goes for the National Guard cleaning up Democrat cities plagued by crime.
Arguing with congressmen and senators is not an issue for the working class. That is Trump being Trump and it is politics. They could be friends again next month.
Americans are getting jobs instead of foreigners. CRT is no longer funded. The country is becoming safer. The4 world is becoming safer. Climate change is no longer a religion. I love it. I would trade our WEF stooge prime minister for Trump on his worst day.
