She was the show. Many of her lines were her on the spot ad lib lines overriding the script .. It was only her comic genius that made it so far above anything else on TV

SNL is a good example of this. A show that at one time at least had its 'moments,' but since they've completely run out of any creative writers, it is nothing more than a heavily politicized, unwatchable piece of shit.

I generally think the writers are the true talent behind a successful show. You can put all the best actors and actresses in a show or a movie, but if the writing isn't there it will be a flop.Well competition today is lame, so little truly funny stuff to compare withQuote from: "cc"

If Roseanne made real content contributions to the show, beyond being a puppet uttering lines others created, then she shares the credit for making it work.

I've never seen an episode of "Friends", "3 men", or any of these execrable "sit-coms".
However, based on the shows I do watch, the mass media have joined the leftist cabals in using not only news, but fictitious stories to push a political agenda. The BBC has turned many of it's marquee characters such as "Dr Who" into leftist propaganda dispensers.
As a consequence, people are turning away in their millions.

Yup, I turned off my cable box 6 years ago. I do have Netflix, but I dont usually watch episodes, maybe a handful of shows, mostly I watch movies. And I watch them with an open eye and an open mind. I wont watch something that I know is purposely trying to change my view on something. Though sometimes I do give in lol, others I outright resist.

The new series of Dr Who is a case in point. Long time fans are fulminating at the inclusion of political influence such as feminism and "diversity" and the audience has dropped significantly.
