OK.
Well, the new model Jeep Wrangler got a ONE star rating by ANCAP.
That's about the same rating as a shopping trolley with a jet pack fitted would get.
Skateboards are safer.

What reasons did they give for the low rating?
There were a number, but essentially it boiled down to poor design and engineering...for example, the front floor well, which is supposed to be able to withstand heavy impact, crumpled at low speed, which would lead to serious injury for the front occupants.
I owned a Jeep Commanche many moons ago.

I don't know one person who owns one or has owned one.
2014, 30,000 Jeeps were sold in Oz.
Soon they gained a rep for unreliability, poor after sales support, and poor quality build.
Last year 8000 were sold.
This year they may go below 5000.
In 2 or 3 years they will be gone.

I would buy a 1993 Jeep wrangler sahara for one reason only..
Jurassic Park.
I'll have to watch the vids later when I have audio.
I have watched the Jeep world for a long time, as the Wrangler is my favorite vehicle. I have a 2003 that I've owned for 13 years as of March. Always wanted one. Mine is a Sport. They tend to make major changes about every 10 years it seems. Mine is the TJ model, the one before mine with the square headlights was the YJ, before that was the Classic CJ. My TJ model was the last of the good ones. Fiat took over, and it has been a disaster in my opinion since. The last model after the TJ was the JK, and in the Jeep community it means Just Kidding lol. They got rid of the inline 6 with the JK, and crammed everything, and made the Jeep bigger, not many like it. Many complaints of how its harder to work on and not reliable. The newest Jeep that hit this year is the JL model, and its even worse. And if it was given a 1 star, I can see why. Its too fancy too, they are selling to soccer moms. And at the price they are trying to sell it at, no wonder sales are plummeting.

At least mine is made of steel, unlike the newer ones that have a plastic front.
I liked the land cruisers.

They came out right after I bought my Jeep. I like 'em, but I hear they are more expensive to modify.

What are you doing to your Jeep Blazor?
Well I've been trying to get caught up on mechanical stuff, but I keep running into transmission issues. Hopefully all good now. I've bought a 2 - 2 1/2" lift kit a few months ago, but its too cold out to put it on. Replaced the soft top a couple years ago. First thing body wise when it warms up is to replace a rusty front fender. Design flaw causes them to rust there.
As far as the theme, I have a custom license plate that pretty much says Middle Earth. I've got a custom shift knob, that is marble, and looks like wood grain, with a custom engraved symbol of Gandalf's mark. Next Im going to put a custom graphic on a tire cover, havent decided which, got a few I've designed to choose from. Couple custom stickers, maybe a quote like "Not all who wander are lost" across the back window. Gonna put a custom name across the side of the hood, like when you see RUBICON on the side, but mine will say either its name SHADOWFAX (Gandalf's horse) or TOLKIEN TJ. Dont wanna do too much, but enough to give it a theme lol.
I use to think of doing a few other themes, like the Jurassic Park one, camo one, or a Dukes of Hazzard one... General Jeep instead of General Lee lol. But all those ideas have been done before. Was surprised the General Jeep was done.

Just if you wanted more clearance for tougher off road trails. Suspension mostly.

Three Jeeps for the camp makers under the sky,
Seven for the celebrities in their Hollywood home,
Nine for soccer moms doomed to cry,
One for Blazor in his southern home
In the Land of Rednecks where the F150's lie.
One Jeep to rule them all, One Jeep to find them,
One Jeep to bring them all and in the woodlands bind them
In the Land of Rednecks where the F150's lie.

Thats crazy! I wonder how the fire started.
I'll say it again, I do not like the newer Jeeps. 2006 was the last good year of Wranglers that I know of.
Once Fiat took over, Jeep and Chrysler were doomed.
They will be shut down within a few years.
