We went shopping at Real Canadian Superstore on King George Blvd. We had a hard time getting in and getting parking. The store was crowded and the best fruits were already picked. Every time we reached for something, someone else's hand was there.
Finally, we filled our cart and made our way to pay for everything. Long queues, people bumping each other with carts and not attaching numbers to bulk items slowing things down even further.
We had to push our overflowing cart to the ends of the parking lot while dodging vehicles backing out and pulling in to parking stalls. Once the car is full, I drove to BC Liquor for a bottle of wine only to find they were out of the one I wanted.
So, we got back to our apartment with a second choice bottle of wine and broken eggs.
Shopping in Canada at Christmas. Bah humbug.

It's the last weekend before X-mas. You have to expect controlled madness.
Which is why NEXT Christmas you will do your shopping earlier.
6 months earlier.

I went to the LCBO this morning. The shelves were rather sparse.

Such is life in the Canadian Soviet Socialist Republic.
The traffic after morning service was very heavy for a Sunday.
Question to the OP; what has this to do with living in a "Christian" country? Don't heathens, atheists, pagans, muslims, buddhists, Shinto and Jews have crowds in shops and traffic jams?

No way. It's the fault of Christians and their holiday. :laugh3:
Well, learn something new every day. Christianity causes shopping chaos.

When they sell out of the wine I want, that's chaos.
Its glorified grape juice. Just buy any Australian wine.

Maybe it was an Australian wine they were sold out of.

You must have really had your heart set on a specific bottle of wine.
There are lots of good wines if you are willing to expand your horizons.
