I deal with that on a daily basis.  I'm gonna get a dash cam next year.



Believe it not, some of the worst incidents I've had are from oblivious pedestrians.   Some of the incidents I've encountered...people just running out into the street while I slam on my brakes and they just look at me like they are mortified...super fuckin stupid morons...I do take the opportunity to yell profanity at them and therir stupid actions.

People riding bikes in the dark on the road, not the sidewalk wearing dark clothing and nothing on them high visibility and reflective..



Very dangerous.

Technically you played the situation well & what an expert driving instructor would advise you to do.



Leaving a sufficient amount of space between vehicles.



An in and an out.



Otherwise had you cruised ahead at normal speed you would have collided with that vehicle
