It's been the rage for a few years now.
I don't like it.I do wear slim straight jeans, but not the skinny jeans, nor do I show my ankles lol.

Fuck those skinny jeans though, they too skinny, even for my chicken legs lol.
I like the slim straights, as they are not so baggy, and I can do my karate kicks with them fairly easy. They flex, and are considered Flex Jeans.Old Joe likes men in skinny jeans with bare ankles.

My sons are into these. Slim Biker denims with ribbing, and the one with a cuffed hem around the ankles are called joggers.
