....put money in Royal Bank mutual funds in the past but they hardly increased in value.
Wasn't too much, but I concluded from that experience that if a person wants to increase his or her wealth, most mutual funds are not the way to go.
My experience with the royal bank is that most of their funds were dogs & all they were interested in was taking yer money. Plus their advisors were horrible and if I'd listened to them I wouldve lost a lot of money as the ones they recommended declined or stagnated in value. So i'v decided once bitten, never again.
I was planning to invest $5,000 to $10,000 this year. But it sure as hell won't be mutual funds like the royal bank sold me.
Any advice/tips on the way I should go?
