Title: Picture questions..
Post by: Berry Sweet on January 18, 2019, 11:05:33 PM
Is there an app or picture filter I can use that will make myself appear black and white but the back ground will still be in colour (vintage colour preferably).

How can I go about doing this?

Corel Paintshop Pro has this feature too if you're looking for a much cheaper alternative to Adobe, if I remember correctly buyers can purchase their serial keys on ebay for like $30 or less, though not every single one of them are guaranteed to be legit.  ac_unsure

I'm afraid such software would be useless for Berry. There is a massive learning curve simply to understand the basics.

She needs to start with simply editing before getting into the complex techniques.

Yes.

If it's on Ebay, it's usually fake.

Usually I check the seller's rating history, but like Brick has said most of them are fake and the keys get blacklisted in a month or 2 after being registered, happend to my Office 2016 CD-key that I bought for only $24.

Most photographers who use Photoshop or similar are "choppers". They use the same techniques to edit their own pictures.

I used to chop a lot at CJ's, with Blazor. Lost interest for some reason.

I have to agree too, I remember trying out adobe when I was still in school and ended up quitting a few days, lol.  And tried another time but with corel paintshop and was doing things at a snail pace, but once I got the hang of it's kinda fun.  ac_cool

An example of chopping your own work.

Using Photoshop I replaced the dark grey sky with a blue sky with light cloud, and enhanced the colours a little.

Knowing how to chop os crucial for modern photographers.

Using Photoshop I replaced the dark grey sky with a blue sky with light cloud, and enhanced the colours a little.

Knowing how to chop os crucial for modern photographers.

I can't see any pictures... just two stop signs.

I can't see anything either.

Yes...do you have back yard chickens.

Yes... one old black bantam and now two new chickens... $19 each... I think we were ripped off.

Those darling little chicks had a short life... isa Browns only live 2-3 years. They're bred for maximum egg production but their lives are shortened.

I would like to have back yard hens. But, it's so cold in the winter, I don't want go outside to look after them.

Chooks are great... just get two or three... they look after themselves and they attract other birds to your garden...

They keep my whole back area weed free.  Best little workers on the planet.

Imgur charges nothing but have a limit on how many photos you can keep.

Interesting.

I'm not interesting in chopping  atleast nkt right now....I'm more interested in colour, tints, filters, sharpening, even giving the picture that warm and fuzzy glow.

I love b&w photography and want to learn how to experiment with colours in the b&w.

Chook = Australian slang for chicken.

Australians call all Chickens, "chooks"

It sounds like a slur for someone of Fashionista's race. :laugh3:

We use both terms but chook is informal.

We also use the word pollo on restaurant menus except hardly anyone has the sophistication or the courage to pronounce it correctly lest some larrikin pipes up with 'This is 'stralia mate! It's pole low!'.

In the old days, you could only buy frozen raw chooks and you'd have to cook them at home in your electric oven fry pans... special occasion.

My aunty still remembers buying their first cooked chook from the fish and chick shop. And they thought that was marvelous although very expensive.
