Title: Disappearing Trees
Post by: caskur on February 04, 2019, 09:54:24 AM
Disappearing Trees

This is a VERY EXCELLENT visual of how our global jungles and vital forests are being cut down. And since I came across it looking for something else, I better use it here. If you don't realize how bad this is, you weren't paying attention to your primary schools basic science lesson back in the 60 and 70s before global climate catastrophe was an issue.

Two trees should be planted for every tree cut down.

Overall there are more trees on this planet than before. However, the diversity has taken a hit (which is part natural and part man made).

The rate of the loss of tropical rainforests is alarming.

It's not just trees but every living thing, plant and animal underneath them.

You cannot replant what took thousands of years to create.

But yes, we still need to grow gardens and and have trees in them.

Globally it's worse than dire.

You won't be happy until it's all gone... either join the crusade to save what's left of it or bugger off clueless.

Keep arguing about your stupid anti-vaccinations claims, no one listens to your arguments about them either.

Well, I'm not anti vaccination to begin with, or anti environment, or otherwise known as freud, but don't let any of that get in the way of a yarn.

I'm just anti bullsht and it is true that overall the Earth has more trees than it had before colonisations BUT the diversity has shrunk.

Quote from: "Dinky Dianna"Like your 54c SA degree claim?

I didn't claim it... I'm sure the day she sat in my kitchen last Saturday she said something like 52.4... and thought, I heard 49.5 or 6 at Port Augusta on the news... and thought, "is she wrong or was it another time?"

I'm not claiming it, my niece claimed it.

Does it really matter?

Those temps mean sure death to humans and animals alike... nothing to sneeze at.

That's why you need to leave your trees on the farms.... every farmer who is going broke I say tough titties. You ridded your land of the most vitally important part of it... TREES. You thinned out the forests so now more weeds have infested them making them even MORE fire hazardous. You mismanaged our world and our children and animal are suffering and within a few short years, you made the planet uninhabitable.

I'm not pulling any punches anymore and tip-toeing around the subject.

My mum was in hospital last year for 6 months. The hospital wastes food that could feed a village. Sick people can't eat much but are served 5 star meals and even the untouched packaged food is binned.

We need trees that's who. Besides being a carbon sink, they prevent soil erosion and the desertification of arable land. The ancient Chinese wish they could go back in time and stop the desertification of the Gobi desert.

I like trees. I do. Even if some of them are funny-looking.

On a straight up note, I'm the only one at work trying to make sure that both the plants in our public areas and the trees and shrubbery on our grounds are well tended to and well fed. I'm also trying to encourage our clients to participate in caring for the greenery.

It's a losing battle. They can't even properly care for themselves. I try to highlight the link between gardening (or caring for other forms of life, whether plant or animal) and self-care but it's a struggle to make them see that when their main concern is where their next fix will come from.

Once a person gets a taste for greenery, it's addicting. Every spring and summer, my wife and I spend more time in our back yard garden than we did the year before. When we move to Panama, we'll have our own little rain forest.

I own some forest...

What I do is thinning it so that the pine-trees have more room to grow..

There's a lot of satisfaction that comes from growing a successful crop, plant, vineyard, trees or whatever.

And they won't lock up druggie mothers who are pregnant to save the babies from a life of handicap hardship because society does not consider unborn babies to be human just yet.

I consider a person going through with a pregnancy child a human and it should be protected even from it's own mother's drug and alcohol addictions.

I have a Canadian beggar on my fb tree site... wants money for 128 Ugandan orphans

I don't trust anything out of Africa due to the horrific violence they love to dish-out on each other.

Here is what he just said to me...

You and I come from a land of plenty Canada and Australia should be glad to help undernourished children. You should be ashamed of a slanderous accusation toward a friend of mine. I have known this man and respect his humanitarian work. If you think I am a scam. just google my name you will find my credentials. Follow The Preparedness project group as I asked you several months ago when you could have started something meaningful in your country. Not all requests from Africa are scams. As far as feeding themselves they will. Africa has been the victim of colonial oppression until the mid 20th century. They have made huge strides with education but remain downtrodden because of climate and corruption in Government, not the orphans fault. I said they will feed themselves. catch this. I have the world a map put out by the U.N. in Dec. 2018 the map shows where there will be wet arable land in the 2030's after the effects of climate change have set in and guess where one of the best places for agriculture will be. While most of the world has lost food production Africa in a huge irony will be able to produce food. We will be going to them for relief. Still, want to insult me and my friend?

Then I said to the arsehole...

Well I am not ashamed.... Everything out of Africa is a scam.

Check your news about Australia... we have farmers committing suicide over prolonged drought, floods wiping out towns and cattle and MANY MANY people in my own country in need of serious help. We don't ask Africa for help or ayone... we help where we can and we don't used orphan children as a guise.

We support MS (multiple sclerosis ) and Police and Citizens... Sometimes the Life Savers (beach volunteers) And that's it.
