The idea seems like a good one but unless you like your expresso cold, you'll still need to cart around some way to heat water up or retain hot water in a flask.
I'm thinking it would work well as something in a purse or bag at work where hot water is available on demand but if out and about, might as well just use a small Italian style percolator.

Might be a good alternative for people that cannot afford to buy coffee at a bistro.

Or where there is no cafe or bistro available.
The coffee available at my work is pretty ordinary. I usually take those Robert Timms coffee bags with me but they don't produce a strong cuppa.
I'm thinking one of those pumps would be perfect for a quick and fresh long black, which is my preferred manner of having coffee.

Hey mack, I can afford bistro coffee. But, those places are progtard safe spaces. There's as much chance of me going to one of them as there is me going to a fruity musical with my biker buddies.

Would you consider an expresso pump like that, Herman?

Possibly. But, no progtard coffee shops for this guy.

I don't know. When I am at home on the farm I make strong coffee and pour lots of barrel wash into each cup.

That is often the case in low socio-economic areas. Bistros usually thrive where the money is.

If only the fauna of Australia could get their sht in order and open a chain of remote coffee shops to service their caffeine addicted brothers and sisters in the animal kingdom.

Sounds like Herman prefers his regular cup of barrel wash similarly.  ac_smile
Would you consider a contraption like was pictured to get a fresh brew while on the job?
(If the trains you're on don't have a bistro caboose, that is.)

That's probably the only way destitute and impecunious fringe dwellers could get a good cup.
But that toy in the OP may give them some minor relief from the unavailability of barista prepared coffee in their backwash.

Who needs coffee. I don't often drink coffee. That should tell you something about coffee. :001_tongue:

You wouldn't find those houses and locations paradise at all and the land is basically useless if not tainted by something such as mining contamination, rising salts, et cetera.
Anything under 100k anywhere in Australia is generally worthless and or harmful to your health.

Hot water from a thermos, a hot water service, or by boiling it on a small stove. I have a small backpackers stove and can in the vehicle so there's that option.

It's like that here too. You get unserviced non arable land for that price.

But Aaron, I am on topic.
We're discussing the virtues of a coffee machine...and how it is perhaps an attractive alternative for people who cannot buy a coffee from a cafe or bistro.
You know, poor people and people who live in remote, impoverished areas.

				:001_rolleyes:

They all live affluent and successful lives. How are yours doing out there in the donga?

Moccamasters are considered good..
They start at around 200e.
Of course you can go real fancy and buy a coffee machine that grinds the coffee beans, adds milk, sugar, cream, has bluetooth, wifi and makes all sorts of coffee and tea..
All I need is your regular cup of coffee black.

The label of the tea and coffee..
Thats where a man proves his worth.
I only drink true tea made by the child labourers of Ceylon... Brought to europe on a east indiaman.

We had one of those dual cup electronic makers years ago. European and temperamental. It wasn't worth the money for all the hassles. When it decided that it needed a cleaning cycle or some other programmed messing about, it would go on strike.
We got rid of it with extreme malice.

You're obviously not the chief financial officer in your family or organisation, but back on topic - https://www.wacaco.com has recipes for different coffee drinks including ice coffees and they offer different models of the machines.

A question for caskur, Bricktop, DD and feral. What's the best coffee chain in Aus?

The coffee chain thing never really took off in Australia. There's a few small chains around but overall people get their coffees from cafes.

Second Cup is the best chain here in my opinion anyway. Tim Horton's coffee is not what it used to be.

Though they are convenient.
