I have heard the number of illegals crossing  the border has risen significantly..
I think it is the result of changes to amnesty policy..
People wanting to claim asylum must do it from Mexico or another country..
I could be wrong, but I think I read that is behind the recent surge in illegal crossings..
People that would've made asylum requests in the past.

PRESIDENT TRUMP — THE ONLY ONE IN WASHINGTON WHO TAKES HIS OATH SERIOUSLY
https://dailycaller.com/2019/03/19/guilfoyle-trump-oath/?utm_medium=email
Congress tried to veto reality.
Instead, President Trump vetoed Congress.
When Congress voted to block President Trump's emergency declaration on the southern border, the president vetoed their measure.
No matter how hard Congress tries to ignore, deny and dodge reality, we have a humanitarian, security and enforcement crisis at the border. As Homeland Security Secretary Kirsten Nielsen said, it is beyond a national emergency — it's a total meltdown of our immigration system.
Sadly, their willful ignorance, ideological blindfold and hatred of President Trump prevent Congress from acknowledging it.
Illegal immigrant apprehensions on our southern border are at the highest level in a decade. But even that statistic doesn't tell the whole story.
The number of migrant families with young children is higher than ever. In the first five months of this year, over 136 thousand were apprehended — that's almost a third higher than were apprehended all of last year.
Human traffickers have put the word out in Central America that bringing a child provides a free pass to enter our country.  Business is so brisk smugglers are now offering a volume discount and using luxury express buses to take migrants from Guatemala to the U.S. with children traveling free, the Washington Post reports.
Once at the frontier, migrants don't try to evade the Border Patrol. They willingly surrender, often in groups of a hundred or more, lining up in an orderly fashion as if they were entering our country legally.
So far this year, over 268,000 immigrants were apprehended on our southwestern border. Another 100,000 could cross in March. On one night alone in early March, agents took in 700 migrants just in El Paso.
At the current rate, one million of the poorest people on Earth could show up at the Rio Grande this year.  Once they are released into our country, as courts dictate, they will compete against the most vulnerable Americans for jobs on the lowest rung of the economic ladder.
Many of the arriving migrants have medical issues and require emergency care. Kevin K. McAleenan, commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, sayson a typical day the United States Border Patrol refers 50 individuals to a hospital or medical provider. All children receive medical screening.
As a former prosecutor who fought for justice for women and children who were victims of sexual assault, it gives me chills when I hear CBP must screen every female over 10 years of age for rape. Doctors Without Borders reports more than 30 percent of women migrants it interviewed are sexually assaulted on the way North.
At the same time Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer deny there is an emergency at the border, they asked for nearly a half billion dollars from taxpayers to provide medical care and food for illegal immigrants showing up at the border.
But there's more to the emergency than migrants. The same criminal gangs that traffic people also traffic drugs. They will use migrants to divert Border Patrol agents in order to bring drugs across.
Drug overdoses are now the number one cause of death for Americans under the age of 55.
Over 70,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2017.  The Centers for Disease Control reports the sharpest increase in deaths came from fentanyl, cheap synthetic heroin that is flooding our country.
Fentanyl is made in China and smuggled into America by Mexican cartels.  One load of fentanyl seized by customs agents on the Mexican border in January was enough to kill more than 115 million people.
By any measure of objective reality, there is a national emergency at the southern border.
There's also another national emergency. It's in Washington where Congress refuses to recognize reality or do anything about it.
The president took an oath to preserve and protect our country.
He takes that oath seriously.
Congress must take off its blindfold and work with President Trump to end the immigration crisis threatening our nation.

How many of these Central Americans sending all the wealth of the US back home are in US illegally.
CENTRAL AMERICAN MIGRANTS ARE SENDING BILLIONS BACK TO THEIR HOME COUNTRIES
https://dailycaller.com/2019/03/20/central-americans-send-billions-home/?utm_medium=email
Foreign nationals from three Central American countries that send some of the highest numbers of illegal immigrants to the U.S. are sending back a record amount of money to their home countries.
Immigrants from Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras sent back a record $120 billion in remittances this decade, according to an immigration expert who spoke to the Washington Examiner using U.N. and Latin American banking statistics. The numbers are expected to keep rising, with immigrants from these three nations having sent $17 billion in 2018 alone, and Central American bank data indicates that the trend will keeping going.
"The sums of money involved are huge, particularly as a share of GDP and personal income in the Central American countries," Jessica Vaughan, an immigration expert with the Center for Immigration Studies, said to the Examiner. "It offers a big clue as to why these countries are giving only token efforts to stem the tide of migrants to the United States, especially El Salvador and Honduras."
The issue of remittances — money sent to the home countries of immigrants living and working in the U.S. — has remained a hot topic of debate. U.S. lawmakers have, in the past, proposed legislation that would tax remittances.
One proposal that did not make it through Congress would have taxed these payments at seven percent. If such a tax was levied on the $138 billion all immigrants sent in remittances in 2016, the revenue would have paid for President Donald Trump's border wall within three years' time.
However, the enormous size of the remittances play a significant role in the Central American economies — creating an incentive for their governments to not seek reform. Remittances to Honduras and El Salvador made up over 20 percent of their economies, with over 90 percent of remittances sent to these countries originating from the U.S.

The waits are now imposed on migrants trying to cross anywhere in the San Diego sector of the California-Mexico border.

Illegal Alien Kills Alabama Schoolteacher
Last Thursday, an illegal alien in Mobile, Alabama crossed a highway median and killed a local private schoolteacher in a head-on collision. The alien, 16 years old, was initially denied asylum upon crossing the Mexico-Arizona border in 2017 but was nonetheless free in the nation's interior despite his having also received a final deportation order. Commentator Daniel Horowitz summarizes the incident at Conservative Review:
Sonya Jones, a schoolteacher in a Christian academy in Mobile, Alabama, was killed on Monday when an illegal alien from Guatemala hit her head-on after crossing the center line of a local highway. Domingo Marcos, 16, is a poster child for what is going on now at the border. He came here in 2017 claiming asylum at the Arizona border, as encouraged and coached by the smugglers. He was, of course, denied asylum and issued final deportation orders. But as I reported earlier this week, there are over one million illegal aliens in this country with final deportation orders who still remain in this country, and very few of them are being deported. Marcos was one of 129,000 Guatemalans with final orders who remain here, and now a popular schoolteacher has paid the price with her life. Marcos was arrested when he was caught fleeing the scene of the accident.

Here's my fear, is that you know the conventional establishment talking point this week on immigration — even as these hordes of people are coming in unprecedented numbers — is 'Oh, we got a few billion from the Pentagon for the fencing.' And it just lulls the base into this false sense of hope that something is being done when we could have Congresspeople in Washington, themselves, putting pressure on Trump to exercise his inherent executive authority to actually do more than just put a few more dozen miles of physical barriers. And I'm not saying that we don't need [a wall] but what needs to happen is that the policies need to change.
More blame for the levels of illegal immigration the country is currently experiencing should be placed with elected Republicans, Malkin said, who failed to take any action on immigration while controlling the House and Senate for the first two years of Trump's term. "Faux pro-borders Republicans ... deserve a heck of a lot more scrutiny and condemnation for putting us in the situation that we're in," Malkin said.

Let's again review the language of the relevant statute, 8 U.S.C. §1182(f):
Quote
Even if the rest of the general operating statutes were broken (they are not), this statute alone supplies the president with all the authority he needs to deal with such an urgent and devastating crisis, at least in the relative short run. If members of Congress were to get together and craft a new law with the intent of giving the president more power to shut down what is happening today, they could not conceivably have written anything strong than this existing law, which has been in place, in some form, since 1893, particularly to keep out those with diseases.
The law is saying that the president can shut down all migration or any type of migration, while leaving others in place.

White house plans to target remittance payments.
Quote
The plans to target remittance payments come amid a broader shakeup at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and future executive actions designed to curb illegal immigration. The situation at the southern border has escalated in recent weeks, with thousands of migrants arriving daily to claim asylum.
Officials say the illegal arrivals are spurred by loopholes in U.S. immigration law that allow family units claiming asylum to arrive illegally and still be released into the interior of the country with a work permit.
The migrants are then given a court date at some point in the future to adjudicate the asylum claim, with the vast majority failing to ultimately get a favorable asylum ruling. These migrants rarely show up for deportation, with the senior administration official calling the practice "backdoor illegal immigration."
The White House plan to go after remittance payments falls in line with a proposal from former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who is being considered to replace outgoing DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.
Kobach told Breitbart News on Tuesday that this will be an effective way for President Donald Trump to compel the Mexican government to take more enforcement action against Central Americans trafficking through their country.
Kobach told Breitbart, "The threat I propose is one that actually helps us if we follow through on it. That is the threat of ending remittances from the majority of people in the United States from Mexico who are here illegally," adding "they don't want to risk losing that massive flow of foreign capital. In most years, it's their second biggest source of foreign capital."

The "Remain in Mexico" policy seeks to curb catch-and-release by denying fraudulent asylum seekers the incentive of being released into the interior of the U.S. while their cases proceed in immigration courts.
r decision by San Francisco Judge Richard Seeborg, who blocked Trump's policy on the grounds that the administration was making the asylum process too difficult and could be putting migrants at further risk by demanding they stay in Mexico. (RELATED: Judge Blocks Trump Administration Policy Of Returning Asylum Seekers To Mexico)
The Ninth Circuit temporarily issued a stay in mid-April while they reviewed the case, allowing the Trump administration to continue the policy until further notice.
Now, the president can at least temporarily declare victory on "Remain in Mexico."
The lower court still has to rule on the merits of the case, which could end up at the Supreme Court.
An unlikely victory from the ninth circus, a court usually unfriendly to trump.  Apparently there are still some real judges out there.

The number of illegal aliens who are choosing to voluntarily deport themselves has spiked since President Donald Trump entered the White House.
Illegal immigrants who were granted voluntary departure — also known as "self-deportation" — increased by 50% in 2017, according to information compiled by The Marshall Project. In fiscal year 2018, the number of aliens who asked an immigration court for permission to leave the country on their own accord doubled from the previous fiscal year. Applications in 2018, in fact, reached a seven-year high.
The rising number of self-deportations far outpaces the 17% growth in overall U.S. immigration cases, indicating that a higher percentage of illegal migrants are opting to leave rather than face government-coerced deportation.
There are incentives for illegals who choose to voluntarily leave. Instead of being held in a detention center for an indefinite amount of time or undergo a strenuous courtroom battle, undocumented immigrants can simply return to their home country. Additionally, migrants who don't have a deportation on their record are not required to wait years to apply for a U.S. visa to re-enter the country.
For a growing number of illegals who are detained, self-deportation appears to be the best option.
"They're tired of living in here, of dealing with [Immigration and Customs Enforcement], dealing with guards, dealing with the injustice. ... They give up," said Alejandra Garcia Zamarron, a 32-year-old Mexican national who had been living in the U.S. illegally for nearly two decades until she was caught driving with an unregistered vehicle and lied to a police officer about her identity.

There are 10 to 30 million illegals in the US.  If Just 10% vote that's 1 million to 3 million votes.  That's enough to sway a close presidential election, (or a close senate or house election). This is what happens to democracy when a party (the democrats) have decided they will do ANYTHING for power no matter how low or unscrupulous.

Graham's bill would allow the Department of Homeland Security to immediately deport most unaccompanied children from Central America; double the number of federal immigration judges in order to more quickly decide asylum cases; force all asylum-seekers to apply for credible fear at processing centers in their home countries; and allow those in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody to be held up to 100 days while their credible fear and asylum proceedings go forward.

Only 12% of immigrants are highly skilled. Current US immigration is third world charity.

President Trump is considering sending illegal immigrants who we cannot send home to sanctuary cities, and the left is going nuts.
Talk about hypocrisy!
Amid word that the administration is considering this move, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, "The extent of this administration's cynicism and cruelty cannot be overstated. Using human beings ... as pawns in their warped game to perpetuate fear and demonize immigrants is despicable, and in some cases, criminal."
How would this be cruel?
Theoretically, politicians want immigrants in these sanctuary cities. That's why they make them sanctuary cities, right? In the border towns, where the system is so stretched, Americans don't really want more illegal immigrants. So, for democrats, if they believe what they preach, this should be a win-win.
Pelosi thinks the president is using migrants as pawns? Need we repeat that more than 100,000 migrants were apprehended at the border last month. Many were released into the country because we don't have enough room at the detention centers.  If Pelosi is against enforcement at the border, then she should support taking them in San Francisco.
California pretends that they want them. But, when confronted with reality that they may get the immigrants they want to protect, they go crazy and claim the president is somehow trying to retaliate.
Why not send illegal immigrants to a place where the politicians claim they must be protected? If I were illegal, I'd want to be in a sanctuary city.
Pelosi should be opening her arms, welcoming every single person who wants to illegally come to the United States, not criticizing the administration for offering to send them to her district.
Total liberal hypocrisy.
https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/trish-regan-nancy-pelosis-hypocrisy-on-sending-migrants-to-sanctuary-cities
Nancy Pelosi can't have it both ways. Either she supports enforcement of immigration law or she accepts sanctuary cities in her state become a lot more crowded.

This is about Canadian immigration, but it has the same politics as in the US.
Once again, Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen is tsk-tsking his fellow Canadians for their views on the portfolio he manages.
A recent poll by Leger revealed that two-thirds of respondents agreed that the feds ought to "prioritize limiting the number of immigrants we welcome to Canada each year as we may be reaching our limit to integrate them in our communities."
Hussen finds this "concerning". Although his concern doesn't seem to be a genuine desire to understand what the people he's tasked with serving are getting at here, but rather a concern about how to best browbeat what seems to be a majority consensus into getting in line with his views.
"We used to have a political consensus on immigration, but what worries me is looking at the other side and seeing the leader of the official Opposition taking a stance that is rooted in misinformation and conspiracy theories... basically spreading myths about immigration," Hussen is quoted as saying in a Canadian Press story.
It's clear by now that the Liberals get giddy at any poll that questions immigration numbers, eager to use it as an excuse to label Conservative leader Andrew Scheer nasty things.
After seeing Hussen's hyper-partisan response to these poll findings, I sought out an essay I'd read from last year that the immigration minister would be wise to read and reflect on.
"The real debate should instead be about the best strategies for assimilating immigrants into a country's creedal national identity," the piece notes. "Well-assimilated immigrants bring a healthy diversity to any society; poorly assimilated immigrants are a drag on the state and in some cases constitute security threats."
Uh oh, what am I quoting from? It sounds like the sort of stuff that might by banned by Trudeau's Digital Charter.
But the piece continues: "Assimilation into a dominant culture becomes much harder as the numbers of immigrants rise relative to the native population. As immigrant communities reach a certain scale, they tend to become self-sufficient and no longer need connections to groups outside themselves."
I better stop quoting from this incendiary piece, right? This column may soon get disappeared a la Michael Cooper's comments.
One more though, bear with me: "Democratic societies are fracturing into segments based on ever-narrower identities, threatening the possibility of deliberation and collective action by society as a whole. This is a road that leads only to state breakdown and, ultimately, failure."
Who's the angry white guy behind these dreadful remarks? And please tell me he's now been deplatformed and fired.
Time out. These are actually excerpts from an essay by Francis Fukuyama in Foreign Affairs magazine — one of the world's most celebrated political science professors (and, as the name should tell you, not a white supremacist) writing in one of the world's most prominent foreign policy publications.
Fukuyama's essay "Against Identity Politics: The New Tribalism and the Crisis of Democracy" isn't entirely about integration and it's certainly no safe space for rightwing views either, with it's very critical takes on President Trump's policies.
But its balanced and sober discussion of integration matters is a refreshing reminder that they are legitimate fodder for mainstream conversation, something Hussen seems to deny.
The Liberals should study this essay and then do some soul-searching as to why their knee jerk reaction is to vilify Canadians — the majority, it now seems — who share the sorts of concerns raised by the likes of Fukuyama.

DHS Credits Illegal Immigration Crackdown For Drop In Border Apprehensions
Quote
"DHS has been taking a 'whole of government' approach to confront the ongoing crisis and fulfill our humanitarian and security obligations, including surging personnel from across the Department to high capacity locations on the Southwest border," DHS Acting Secretary Kevin McAleenan said in prepared statement released Tuesday.
"We are also continuing our collaboration with our international partners, formalizing a number of initiatives with Northern Triangle countries to improve the lives and security of our respective citizens by combating human trafficking and the smuggling of illegal goods, helping to limit 'push' factors that encourage dangerous irregular migration to the U.S.," McAleenan continued.
The acting secretary's comments come after the release of June's apprehension numbers, showing a decline in illegal alien encounters for the first time in six months.
Border Patrol agents apprehended or turned away a total of 104,344 unauthorized aliens in June, a 28% drop from the 144,278 encounters that took place in May. The decrease comes after apprehensions along the U.S.-Mexico border had been increasing each month since January.
President Donald Trump, who made immigration reform a major part of his campaign platform, has followed through by battling congressional Democrats for wall funding, sending more DHS personnel to the border, limiting the number of asylum applicants who cross into the country, entering into bilateral agreements with Mexico and Guatemala to stop the flow of migrants and numerous other measures.

ICE Acting Director Rips Sanctuary City Mayors For Helping Illegal Aliens Avoid Arrest
Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Matthew Albence took a swipe at U.S. mayors who announced their opposition to planned immigration raids.
"The entire public is safer when law enforcement works together," Albence said Sunday on Fox News, reacting to several mayors across the country who declared they would not be helping federal immigration authorities locate and apprehend illegal aliens living in their jurisdictions.
"It's incredulous that it's OK for these law enforcement agencies and these jurisdictions to enforce the laws that they're sworn to uphold, but when we come in to do our enforcement that we're sworn to uphold, all the sudden it's a problem," he said.

If this gets done it would be big progress
So if a migrant comes from south America and they come to America through Mexico, then they have to apply for asylum in Mexico.  NOT in the US.  If this gets done it could stop some of the asylum scamming going on.  (that last line of the news item worries me though)

Kyrsten Sinema, Eight Other Senators Sign Letter To Speed Up Removal Of Certain Migrants
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is aiming to implement a program at the U.S.-Mexico border that would speed up the removal of migrants without valid asylum claims.
The Arizona Democrat joined eight other senators in signing a letter Wednesday to acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan, The Arizona Republic reported.
The letter detailed how the pilot program, which is called "Operation Safe Return," would allow for some migrants to be deported within 15 days.
"This pilot program would apply to families who aren't claiming 'credible fear,' which of course is the first threshold in seeking asylum," Sinema told The Arizona Republic. "If someone says, 'I left my country because I can't make a living,' [or] 'It's hard to take care of my family' — that's what we call an economic migrant."
Border Patrol would be given one to three days for "detailed, fair and accurate interviews" with migrant families. If the families are fearful of returning to their home countries, they would be deported, the newspaper reported.
If a family is fearful, the next step would be for asylum officers to conduct a credible-fear interview. The officers would have nine days after the family is caught to do so. After that, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice would have six days to determine a ruling on the case, according to the report.
Republican Sens. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Rob Portman of Ohio, James Lankford of Oklahoma, John Barrasso and Michael Enzi of Wyoming, and John Cornyn of Texas signed the letter. Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Doug Jones of Alabama signed the letter as well.

The United States can learn a lot from the refugee camps on the border of Turkey and Syria. Turkey has done well on this.
The refugees live in a refugee camp where there are homes, grocery stores, schools, hospitals, all the basic things a community needs.
Something like that can be done in the US southern border. They can partner with Mexico and come up with a "Refugee City" where those who want to enter the US could live while waiting for their papers to be approved.

Except that the people seeking asylum in the US will probably not be approved. They do not meet the definition of refugees. They are economic migrants. They can go back home and apply for a green card like other immigrants.

CBP Chief Mark Morgan Defends Record-Breaking Illegal Immigration Operation

It is about time. This brings America's immigration policies inline with Canada and Australia and a move towards a points system.
U.S. President Donald Trump's administration unveiled a sweeping rule on Monday that some experts say could cut legal immigration in half by denying visas and permanent residency to hundreds of thousands of people for being too poor.
The long-anticipated rule, pushed by Trump's leading aide on immigration, Stephen Miller, takes effect Oct. 15. It would reject applicants for temporary or permanent visas if they fail to meet high enough income standards or if they receive public assistance such as welfare, food stamps, public housing or Medicaid.
"The Trump administration is trying to bypass Congress and implement its own merit based-immigration system. It's really a backdoor way of prohibiting low-income people from immigrating," said Charles Wheeler of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network Inc.
The rule is part of Republican Trump's efforts to curb both legal and illegal immigration, an issue he has made a cornerstone of his presidency.
After the rule was announced, the National Immigration Law Center (NILC) said it would file a lawsuit to stop it from taking effect. The group's executive director said the rule was racially motivated. The state attorneys general of California and New York threatened to sue.
The 837-page rule, seeking to target those who could become "public charges" in the United States, could be the most drastic of all the Trump administration's policies targeting the legal immigration system, experts have said. It could deny visas to people for not making enough money or who are drawing public benefits.
The government estimates the status of 382,000 immigrants could immediately be reviewed on those grounds. Immigrant advocates fear the real number could be much higher, especially if the rule is extended to the millions of people who apply for U.S. visas at American consulates around the world.
The State Department already changed its foreign affairs manual in January 2018 to give diplomats wider discretion in deciding visa denials on public charge grounds.

Immigrants should not be a burden on the host country. They have not been paying into welfare and should not be able to collect it on landing. US immigration is international charity that does fuck all for Americans.

Get illegals the fuck out. Build a wall and prevent more from entering.

11-Year-Old Allegedly Raped Repeatedly By Two Illegal Immigrants
Two illegal immigrants have been charged with second degree rape of the same 11-year-old girl in Maryland.
Montgomery County Police arrested Mauricio Barrera-Navidad, 29, of Damascus, Maryland, and Carlos Palacios-Amaya, 28, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, for allegedly raping the same under-aged girl on multiple occasions, WJLA reports.
Montgomery County District Court Judge Sherri Koch granted Barrera-Navidad, an El Salvadorian national, a $100,000 bond, though he remains incarcerated while awaiting trial. Palacios-Amaya, also an El Salvadorian national and charged with four rape counts, was denied bond by Montgomery County District Court Judge Eric Nee.
ICE has confirmed both suspects are present in the United States illegally. Palacios-Amaya had been previously deported in 2014 and reentered the U.S. at an unknown time, according to ICE.

 By Michelle Malkin
Over the weekend, President Donald Trump approved a new annual refugee cap of 18,000, the lowest since the U.S. program began in 1980.
The reduction follows news that America took a pause last month and refused to admit any new refugees. On economic, public safety and national security grounds, this is a very good thing for the 325 million people already in our country. But you wouldn't know it from the grim headlines and hysterical condemnations by globalist zealots and media sympathizers.
CNN International led the open borders funeral procession last week, with a report decrying, "No refugees will be resettled in the U.S. in October, leaving hundreds in limbo around the world." U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-ore., hyperventilated that "Donald Trump is trying to destroy the very heart of this nation. I won't let him." Social justice group CARE bemoaned this "dark moment in our nation's history." Human Rights First complained Trump's proposal is "crippling the United States' status as a global leader in refugee resettlement."
Heaven forbid citizens in a sovereign nation have a say in who comes here, from where and how many. Is one refugee-less month in America such a catastrophe?
America has a legacy of embracing people from around the world fleeing persecution and war. After World War II, the U.S. helped lead efforts to assist 650,000 displaced Europeans who had fled in fear, were expelled and were victims of Nazi crimes and terror. Congress passed the 1948 Displaced Persons Act to accommodate them. Five years later, the Refugee Relief Act of 1953 aided refugees from Italy and East Germany escaping Communist regimes, adding another 250,000 refugees over four years. In the 1950s and 1960s, we welcomed Hungarians, Cubans and Czechoslovakians also escaping Communist oppression. In the 1970s, we opened our doors to 300,000 political refugees from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. The Refugee Act of 1980 created the Office of Refugee Resettlement and office of U.S. Co-ordinator for Refugee Affairs and raised the annual ceiling of admissions to 50,000.
Under Obama, that number soared to nearly 100,000 annually. The idea that we've abandoned our humanitarian leadership role because of this refugee resettlement reduction is ludicrous. Overall, since 1975, the U.S. has resettled more than 3 million refugees. Under Trump, the U.S. still accepted more refugees than any other country in both 2017 and 2018.
In my adopted home state of Colorado, a new University of Colorado Boulder study acknowledged that refugees are often "trapped in chronic poverty" after resettlement subsidies dry up and are unable to lift themselves out of dependency on government aid such as public housing, Medicaid and food stamps. Federal statistics show nearly half of all refugee households receive cash welfare. Chain migration perpetuates the cycle of poverty.
A tiny cabal of government contractors, mostly religious groups cloaking their profit-seeking in compassion and Scripture, perpetuates the refugee resettlement racket. Openly hostile to American sovereignty, these people spread their tax-subsidized syndicate's wealth to a vast network of subcontractors, often tied to billionaire George Soros and his Open Society Foundations, which promote global governance and unfettered migration espoused by the UN, EU and Vatican.
These special interests have blurred the lines between legitimate refugees seeking asylum from oppression and economic migrants from Central America clamoring for higher wages or better welfare benefits. They're indifferent to the national security risks of absorbing large numbers of Muslims whose adherence to repressive sharia and religious jihad is incompatible with our constitutional principles.
Mass migration champions have stretched the definition of refugee so thin that "climate change refugees" seeking relief from uninhabitable environments are now a phenomenon. Nuts. Doesn't America have enough residents in need of shelter and support?
Only a complete moratorium on immigration would give America the break it needs to regain control of our system. Trump's refugee reduction is not an apocalypse. It's a long overdue respite from the world's wretched refuse that deserves cheers, not jeer

The USA will only accept 18,000 refugees..
But, I read it's still more than most countries.

Man, the US is so frickin lucky to have a president who works for the common man instead of billionaires.
https://conservativesviral.site/breaking-white-house-to-target-illegal-alien-money-transfers-out-of-u-s/
The White House is planning on targeting the tens of billions of dollars in "remittance payments" sent by illegal immigrants back to their home countries, in the wake of an ongoing migrant flood at the U.S. Southern border, a senior administration official told reporters Tuesday.
Potential plans against remittances could follow one or all of anti-illegal immigration group BorderPAC's recomendations:
15-25% tax on all cash remittances to targeted countries
Ban on any remittances to Mexico, other nations, if sender cannot prove they are a U.S. citizen or legal resident
Temporary halt to all remittances to Mexico until that government halts caravans and enforces border controls to U.S.

https://dailycaller.com/2019/11/14/october-border-apprehension-numbers-down/?utm_source=&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=10941
Illegal Immigration Continues To Decline At Southern Border
ark Morgan, the acting commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, spoke at the White House on Thursday to discuss the latest month's border apprehension numbers.
October saw roughly 42,000 apprehensions, a drop from the previous month and the lowest number in the calendar year, demonstrating that the immigration crisis is continuing to wane.
For the first time in 18 months, the majority of those apprehended were Mexican nationals and single adults, not migrant families from the Northern Triangle.
The Trump administration maintains that the immigration crisis is still ongoing, and the latest border apprehension numbers suggest that a slate of new policies have helped subdue the emergency.
Mark Morgan, the acting commissioner of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), held a White House press conference Thursday to discuss the latest border apprehension data. The month of October saw the fewest border enforcement actions than any other month in the entire calendar year, marking a monumental drop from when the immigration crisis reached its peak, according to Morgan.

Israel is a nation of immigrants, but legal immigrants. There is a process that must be followed. Illegal immigration is disorder.

Transportation Minister Betzalel Smotrich took to Twitter on Wednesday to express his opinion of the best way to cope with Israel's illegal immigrants.
"Creeping citizenship is a bad thing that will not happen on my watch. The solution for illegal infiltrators is to return them to their country of origin, period. In the meantime, anyone who goes against the law has to be dealt with by enforcement, infiltrator and citizen alike," Smotrich wrote.

The problem with illegal immigration and refugees is that we here in Canada don't really know their backgrounds like we do lawful immigrants.

Get the ones in the states the hell out. And build a wall to prevent more from coming in.

Mexico has a problem with illegals crossing it's Southern border too.
Guards pelted with rocks
SUCHIATE RIVER — Hundreds of Central Americans waded across a river into Mexico on Monday, some clashing with waiting security forces, in a new challenge for President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador's efforts to contain migration at the bidding of the United States.
Scattered groups launched rocks at a few members of Mexico's National Guard who were on the banks of the river attempting to thwart any illegal crossings, as hundreds of others ran past into Mexico, video footage of the scene showed.
The mostly Honduran migrants appeared to grow impatient on the bridge over the Suchiate River that connects the two countries, after some were denied permission to cross by assembled Mexican migration officials.
"We didn't come to stay here, we just want to cross to the other side," said Ingrid, 18, a Honduran migrant. "I don't want to go back to my country because there is nothing there, just hunger."
U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to punish Mexico and Central American countries economically if they fail to curb migrant flows.
At least 2,000 migrants had been camped in the Guatemalan border town of Tecun Uman, opposite Ciudad Hidalgo on the Mexican side.

The US and Mexico should be working together to keep illegals from entering Mexico's Central American border.

As long as they stay out of the states, who cares about Mexico.

The latest, lawless migrant caravan hurtling from Honduras to the U.S. southern border is as organic as AstroTurf.
The Central American trespassers now number between 2,500 and 4,000. Two weeks ago, slickly designed flyers disseminated on social media beckoned them to sign up for the latest journey and meet at a bus stop in San Pedro Sula. That village is caravan ground zero, where Honduras's destabilizing Libre Party and its former top legislator-turned-agitator Bartolo Fuentes, have brazenly spearheaded past caravan- organizing campaigns since U. S. President Donald Trump took office.
On Monday, the throngs reached the Mexico- Guatemala border, where mobs of mostly young men threw rocks and sticks at police — while sympathetic international "journalists" selectively captured and curated tired women and crying children on the trek with state-of-theart cameras and livestreams.
Ma ke no mistake: These are not desperate people suddenly seeking refuge from violence and harm. They are low-wage workers, pew-fillers and f u ture ethnic-bloc voters being exploited by Big Business, the Vatican and the Democrat
Party.
Pueblo Sin Fronteras may be the most recognizable name behind the caravans, but global Catholic elites play a central role in the co-ordination of this transnational human- smuggling racket. Trump- bashing, American sovereignty- trashing Pope Francis donated $ 500,000 nine months ago from his Peter's Pence fund to assist illegal immigrant caravan participants. The subsidies cover "27 projects in 16 dioceses and Mexican religious congregations" for "housing, food and basic necessities," as well as "migrant" assistance programs "run by seven dioceses and three religious congregations: the Scalabrinians, the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary and the Hermanas Josefinas," according to the Catholic News Service.
As I have reported on my investigations in "Open Borders Inc.," the Catholic "Underground Railroad" of migrant safe houses that extend across Central America, through Mexico, and up to and into the U.S. is a welloiled machine. The Un i ted Nations' International Organization for Migration in Mexico has guaranteed supplies of medicine, hygiene products, construction materials, as well as therapy services and legal training, for caravan marchers who are housed at the Hermanos en el Camino shelter, along with the Catholic-run Hogar de la Misericordia shelter and Jesus el Buen Pastor del Pobre y el Migrante shelter. Funding comes not just from Catholic parishioners, but also U.S. tax dollars. The La 72 shelter in Tenosique is run by Franciscans. The El Caminante shelter in Palenque is overseen by Catholic nuns. The Scalabrinians operate Casa del Migrante in Tijuana and have managed an entire shelter ministry network since 1999.
On the southern border of Mexico in Chiapas, the city of Tapachula is the first entry point for Central Americans headed to the U.S. There, the Fray Matias de Cordova Human Rights Center provides "comprehensive support" to illegal immigrant travellers including legal consultations, monitoring of detention centres and "online resources, art and social activities, job training, and basic social services." The group has received nearly $200,000 from the liberal MacArthur Foundation.
Also in Tapachula, the Jesuit Refugee Service opens its churches and pastoral centres to provide shelter, monetary aid, voluntary aid and emergency assistance. Its team of lawyers, psychologists, social workers and Jesuit clergy spread from Tapachula to Comalapa and Mexico City. JRS staff served as sherpas for the 2018 caravan marchers and liaisons with the U. N. High Commission for Refugees.
Jaime Calderon Calderon, the Catholic bishop of Tapachula, Mexico, immediately pledged aid this month to the newest waves of border-jumpers and river-crossers, openly acknowledging that he received a heads- up from other bishops in the Northern Triangle (Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador). But while Calderon and the bishops blame "violence" for the most recent invasion, homicide rates have either fluctuated or fallen significantly in
Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador since Barack Obama's executive amnesty programs ( DACA and DAPA) were announced in 2012.
Migrants themselves refute the "fleeing violence" narrative: An International Organization for Migration poll of more than 3,200 Guatemalan households in 2016, highlighted by the Center for Immigration Studies' Kausha Luna, reported that 91% of migrants surveyed had moved to the U.S. for economic reasons ( jobs, homes, income boosts) — while only 0.3% blamed violence, 0.2% cited extortion and 0.2% attributed their decision to gangs.
It's all about the dinero. Central American workers, legal and illegal, sent back nearly $ 20 billion in remittances to their home countries in 2018, a tidy sum of which will end up back in Catholic collection plates. Remittances sent to El Salvador are now equal to 20% of its GDP; Guatemala, 11%; and Honduras, 18.8%. Meanwhile, the percentage of the population of Guatemala now living in the U.S. is close to 7%; for El Salvador, the percentage now stands at 22%; and for Honduras, we now have absorbed 9.2% of their people.
This is a deliberately orchestrated, relentlessly executed, slow-motion criminal invasion. If my fellow Catholics continue to aid and abet these illegal immigrant gravy trains without consequences, American sovereignty doesn't have a prayer.
These are not desperate people suddenly seeking refuge from violence and harm. They are low-wage workers, pew-fillers and future ethnic-bloc voters being exploited by Big Business, the Vatican and the Democrat Party.
