WIMP!!

The road bans are supposed to be put up on the thirty first. This means my last day of work until next December is Saturday. If it gets really cold for a few days, they could delay, but it doesn't look like the weather will get really cold again this week.

WIMP!!
It's RAINING.
Which is snow that thaws on the way down.
Show some sympathy.

Where is that tiny violin when it's needed.

I expect mockery and scorn from that harridan, Shen Li.
But not you!! You're part Australian!!!

Hah.
That's what YOU think.
What about that craving for vegemite? That thirst for VB? Those tan lines?

				Ughhh VB. The devil's piss.

				Well, someone drinks that crap.
It's the biggest seller in Australia.

				Bogans and tourists love it.

				Quote from: "Dinky Dianna"
I drank Victoria Bitter when I was in Queensland.

Well, given that you've been raised on Molsons and Labbatts, that is no surprise.
If you were dying of thirsty in the middle of the Queensland outback, and you had a choice between drinking your own urine, or a bottle of VB, empty the VB on the ground and fill the empty bottle with urine.

I was two out of those three. Mass produced beer in Australia is better than the mass produced stuff here

You know what you are. You are a beer snob.

Queensland is half full of bogans and half tourists.  ac_smile

I worked with bogans. I work with them here. My kind of people.

They are always up for a drink or round in the fart sack.

				Quote from: "Dinky Dianna"
Pretentious they are not.

And it's no coincidence that VB is VICTORIA Bitter. No-one knows bogans better than Victoria.

We export it to other states like Australia exports Fosters overseas.

But most is drunk in the Bogan capital of the world...Victoriastan.

Actually, it's not that popular anymore.

				Been pipped by XXXX Gold.
An equally awful, characterless, generic fizz for the masses.

XXXX has to be near frozen to be swallowed without projectile vomiting.

Coopers brews some good beer too.

It must be nice to be to only have to work a few months a year.

I prefer the Tassie beers.

Little Creatures is the best HOWEVER, Emu Bitter was the best beer of all time...
I don't even know if they still make it. It went to South Australia

My nannas would be shocked The Swan Brewery is no longer. That is AMAZING we lost a MAJOR industry like beer making.

I never tried an Aussie beer. If I have, I didn't know it. I have had Steinlager from New Zealand.

Emu Export still could be found last I heard but that was a few years ago.
Edit: still available

I made a batch of craft beer at a DIY type micro brewery a couple years ago and chose their recipe version of Emu. Turned out quite nice. Very fragrant.

The best Australian beer, for sure.
The brewery is 10 minutes from my place.

I first tasted Emu Bitter when I was a little kid. As a kid, beer was terrible stuff but I remember tasting Emu Bitter and thought, yum, that's not too bad. I remember as an adult drinking a stubbie of Emu Bitter. I did like it a lot.
Every summer mum used to give us kids Kalgoorlie Stout and Lemonade... We used to love that too. She didn't give us a lot... maybe 2-3 times per summer.
I've only had about four stubbies this past summer and they were Strongbow's Sweet Apple Cider.  ac_smile

Unlike most others here.
