There's some things I want but might be a bit too early to buy them since I only had mines for barely a year and still drowning in debt, but it wouldn't hurt to dream for a bit, am hoping to buy
- a dongle with a built in DAC(a sound card)
- upgrade my Sony Z5 to a pixel 3
- sell my Asus GM501 notebook for a Surface Book 2
Meanwhile what is on your wish list or maybe things you'd like to buy for your family/friends?
The most important thing on my wish list is that I want to stay in Calgary..
Our premier and the prim minister are making that difficult for us..
The second would be my daughter get accepted into the program of her choosing in university..
That one seems very probable.
I wish Herman would send me some barrel wash.
I wish IHJ would move to Australia.
I wish Shen Li would send me a picture of her in tight jeans.
I wish cc would buy an Apple computer.
I wish Zetsu would send me some cute little quails.
I wish Wazzzup will stand for US Congress.
I wish Fash would buy a stuffed parrot and be happy with that.
I wish Freud would return to his homeland.
I wish Peaches would spend a month in Venezuela.
I wish Azhya gets a job as an extra in The Walking Dead.
I wish Velvet would post more often.
I wish Joe would post less often.
I wish Seoul scores a hole in one...and no-one is there to witness it!!!!
I wish Odinson would get married.
I wish Kylie Jenner would stop PM'ing me.
I wish Blazor gets to visit Hobbiton in New Zealand...and sends me his wizard's staff.
I wish my house doesn't get hit by lightning again.
I wish Thiel drops buy for a beer sometime.
I wish Caskur learns to use the manual settings on her camera.
I wish TheVancouverGuy would post more pics.
In fact I wish EVERYONE would post more pics.
I am going to challenge the HVAC exam on April 26. Other than that my wife and I want to visit the Okanagan in June or July.

Tbh those are some goals if not concerns I've never fought of ac_unsure ... hope things work out for you and your family Fash. And may the conservative win this time giving Trudeau a new job, gas prices are now more expensive in Toronto thanks to the new carbon taxes, all thanks to Justin.

Thanks a lot Zetsu. I was an HVAC tech in Israel. My qualifications are not recognized in Canada, I want to manage jobs as a journeyman and get the pay that goes with it.
I plan to expand my herd of herefords. More Christmas trees will be planted on my land this year. Increased honey production.

It's kind of bothersome Canadian companies rarely accept qualified professionals outside of Canada, like my uncle they never accepted both of his diploma in Hong Kong, though it's understandable at the same time. Guess the best way is to view the good side of the coin, and just see this exam as more like of a memory refresh for your new future career and enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
I wish Berry Sweet would drop by more often.

It's not provincial governments or the feds that won't recognize their creds. It's professional associations, and unions. They are the culprits who are holding back skilled immigrants like your uncle and Gaon.

Sounds like it'll take at least some effort to do, but at the same time I always see it as a nice peaceful and healthy job. Unlike my old job(at my dad's workplace) is really just an army of people sitting in front of the computers, and doing a bunch of paperwork, then having to spend more time exercising to make up for parking our butts all day, lol.

Things have improved a bit, though we still only get about a order each week or 2 at most, lol. Though my mom is kind of upset how my brother and I are only racking up the debt and wants to lease out the warehouse instead. Maybe if we still can't balance out the debt in a year or 2, then maybe she's right, while our current goal is to just source in as much good as we can, and start getting some a bit of discount from Canada Post since S/H cost has been killing our business, I mean we sell a Gudetama waterbottle for $13, but shipping to teh customer cost $18, amazon transaction fee cost $5 and not including the base/import cost of the bottle, lol.

The reason that unions and professional associations won't recognize foreign credentials is wages. More skilled employees equals lower wages.

Lol, its not TOO bad....
So I ordered a suspension kit and steering components in late summer, and they took forever to get to me (a month), and then the weather turned bad. So they been sitting here waiting to be installed. All my stuff is shot, so bad that I have to have a death grip on the steering wheel, and its caused problems with my arm injury healing. Well now its warming up and I cant wait. Gotta install 2" - 2 1/2" shocks and springs, front and rear track bars, 4 sway bar links, steering damper, tie rod, drag link, and bump stops. The kit is a mix of Old Man Emu (yay Australia) and JKS. The front sway bar links are quick disconnect.
I also think I have a bad O2 sensor. Plugs are due. Hopefully all be good to go after that. One other thing maybe. Then its on to cosmetics like replacing the rusty fenders and having them and the hood painted. Mechanics are my main objective, and already have the suspension and steering parts. May have to get a front drive shaft u joint kit too. Never ends lol. But I've had it 13 years and aint about to give it up yet.
Ahhh say no more. You got the death rattles. Very common problem amongst Jeep owners here.

Its not full blown death wobble yet. The main problem is the rubber bushings are worn out on everything on that Jeep. Last year I replaced all 8 control arms, trans mount, and motor mounts.

Its 16 years old, I've had it 13 years, has 290,000 miles. I love it, my favorite vehicle. I can go most places people cant, like 2 feet of snow, almost 3 feet of water, over rocks, with the top down, doors off, and windshield down if I wanted. I dont like the newer ones, so I choose to restore mine. The thing that got me was seemed like a lot went out all at once.

The few we see on the road here are quite literally falling apart.

Thats because Jeeps have gone to shit. My model is one of the last of its kind, the TJ model, ended in '06.
It seems so. There was a huge rush on them for a few years, but eventually the horror stories and consumer complaints overwhelmed them. They can't give them away now. Fiat needs to decide it it wants to invest in the brand, or simply abandon it. Fiat has never been known for its capability in off-road vehicle production.
In fact, quite the reverse.

And Canada.
I owned a Jeep in Israel.

I loved it. It was great in the Negev.
We had an old jeep which we gave away to an elderly pensioner and former mechanic. We could have sold it but it was just easier giving it to him and getting rid of it. Total space waster it was.
I have never owned a Jeep. I need a truck. The old lady has a 4X4 SUV.
I love our 1994 Cherokee Jeep too, it might not be a the iconic one, but got to say you'll never know how tough they are until you actually own one. My brother(the one that used to be in the army) had a habit driving it around like some kind of armored Humvee and got into 3 car accidents, in 2 of the collisions the car end up TL, while our Jeep didn't had a dent or any cracks, just nothing but some paint got scape off. The only time we had to get it repair was in the forth accident he got rammed by the passenger's side and the wheel had to be fixed. ac_umm

We had ours for about 13 years, it was still good while it lasted. There were some issues starting to surface up after 10 years, but still drivable and most important it really makes you feel safe while on the road. ac_cool

Wish we went on some vacations while we still had our jeep, sadly ours barely get to go off road, probably only 3 times to camping, and wasted over 99% of it's life driving on the streets. ac_unsure

-Start working out more often. There is a gym in my building. I want to go back to using three times a week.
-A new shower head. I will watch a youtube video to learn how to do that.
-Volunteering anyway I can to make Trudeau a one term and done pm.
Ooo I heard the new Samsung S10 5G version will be out soon, though I'm not sure would it be a good idea since Dinky says it creates a lot of radiation, while 4G seems already fast enough for me. Lol it's no doubt a popular trend in amongst successful Chinese ppl all over the world, but a few reasons why he'd never buy one is b/c he already tried out German cars before we came over to Canada from Hong Kong, along with the issue it's all over the place in HK, Toronto making every driver looking like a herd of sheep 2nd to Chinese women driving a corolla, and another thing is he's some what of a Canadian nationalist, and prefers American/Canadian made cars only, lol.

I am selling my house in Winnipeg and moving to Panama when I retire. Four years and nine months to go.
I can imagine sun tanning at the beach, and browsing on TBC with your tablet at the same time. ac_drinks

Maybe not a 2019 wishlist, but in 2022 if everything goes according to plan, my new dream is to become a trailer bum and live on my drive way. And then I'll probably be regretting it in the next few days.
What's the advantage of that?
Lol not much tbh, but living in one of those mobile homes has always been my childhood dream. ac_cool
That's an rv, not a mobile home.
Yea, I should have said RV, keep confusing and mixing up between those 2, lol.

We own a motorhome Zetsu..
My father -in-law left it to us when he passed away fourteen years ago..
It's eighteen years old, but it's in very good condition.
I had an old fifth wheel Jayco trailer on my farm. When I had parties, guests could crash in it.
We are going camping in July in the Okanagan area of British Columbia in July. We are renting a tent and camping equipment.

I heard most RVs built in the past couple decades have much better build quality than the ones made today. If well taken care of there are some that have lasted over 50 years and still on the road.

I considered about buying a Jayco too for their good value, meanwhile I'm kinda regretting owning a civic hybrid, I highly doubt it can tow anything over 800-1000lbs without having the engine blow up, lol.

I really miss the good old camping days, tent style or RV, nothing is better than drive-in camping with your car loaded with a container full of food and other tasty goods. ac_drinks

Think they still in production, seen a few of their trailers listed as one of the best brands out there. ac_cool

Lol a motorhome is something I doubt I'll ever be able to afford, but a trailer wouldn't be impossible, there a few small ones under 30K I'm really interested in, but my mom thinks it's a waste of money, lol.

Tbh I was never swimming in wealth, being single, still living with my parents, and most important was once severely mentally disabled there's a limited to the jobs I can do, not to mention the warehouse mortgage and other expense is a huge money sponge, lol it'll take me at least 3 years to save up enough money to afford one of the smallest and cheapest RV trailers, lol.

I have no desire to own an rv, motorhome, a simple trailer or a tent. I don't even want one of those tailgate portable gas bbq's.

I definitely love it, one of my dreams is to go camping with my dad, he always say breathing in the ion molecules at a camp site next to a lake is really good for a person's health, tbh this is really the main reason why I want to get an RV trailer.

Think the last time I went camping was like over 12 years ago, though my mom and dad might not like me spending my savings on a RV, but I think they'll like it afterwards, I mean what's the point of working so hard to such an old age and not using money on anything. ac_unsure
Camping is not cheap, but's so enjoyable.
