Proving yet again that American celebrities think they are in a different class, and corruption is alive and well...

It beggars belief that people actually revere and look up to these scum.

I don't know why people care about their opinions..
They are no smarter than anyone else.

They don't even have average intelligence. They do have above average narcissism.
That's because the female oriented media and fans put them on pedestals to which they are not entitled.

The other major celeb in the college faud scandal- laurie Loughlin is in more trouble than Felicity Huffman
https://www.tmz.com/2019/04/09/lori-loughlin-plea-bargain-prison-sentence-college-bribery-money/
Quote
Lori Loughlin and her husband are in a way worse position than Felicity Huffman ... because the huge amount they allegedly paid in bribes to get their daughters into USC could land them in prison for 2 YEARS MINIMUM ... TMZ has learned.
Sources connected to the case tell us ... all of the parents in the college cheating scandal have been offered plea deals, but prosecutors will only accept pleas with prison time attached.
As we reported, Felicity copped a plea Monday, along with 12 other parents. The remaining 37 individuals charged -- including Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli -- have been offered plea deals, with varying recommendations for prison sentences, largely determined by the amount they paid in bribes and whether they accept responsibility for what they did.
They didn't plead guilty so the charges will be worse.
Quote
Since Lori did not cop a plea, the U.S. Attorney went to a Federal Grand Jury to get an indictment, adding charges of money laundering. This now DRASTICALLY increases the amount of time Lori and her husband would get as a minimum recommended sentence.
Specifically, the U.S. Attorney says, Lori, her husband and 14 others will now be charged with the additional crime of "conspiring to launder the bribes and other payment in furtherance of the fraud by funneling them through [Rick] Singer's purported charity and his for-profit corporation."
The money laundering charge alone carries a maximum of 20 years in prison.
This means if Lori and her husband now want to plea bargain their cases, instead of a minimum range of 2 to 2 and a half years in prison ... prosecutors would recommend to the judge a MINIMUM RANGE OF 4 YEARS AND 9 MONTHS UP TO 5 YEARS AND 11 MONTHS.

Former NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal told the New York Post that he is denouncing his "celebrity-ness."
"Celebrities are crazy," he said. "How they treat people, what they do, what they say."
His down-to-earth take could be refreshing to many Americans who have grown weary with celebrity culture in the U.S. and the haughty spirit exhibited by some stars.

While blatantly better than any other on the courts he remained humble .. especially in contrast to others nowhere near as good as he
I don't think he commented on politics or hot buttons while active .. but is free to now by his standards
We have so few celeb class acts

Not being an NBA fan, I knew nothing about him.
I'm not a strong fan of any sport, and especially basketball ... but I do make it a point to check in on each sport to view each ones special gems on occasion
and especially what the gems have to say off topic
I'm an appreciator of all class acts no matter the venue

Aint that the truth.
During his recent welcome speech for the 2023 National Book Awards ceremony, actor LeVar Burton suggested to the crowd that he'd get physically violent with members of conservative group Moms for Liberty.
"Before we get going, are there any Moms for Liberty in the house?" Burton asked, according to video from Wednesday's broadcast. "Moms for Liberty? No? Good! Then hands will not need to be thrown tonight."
A number of folks in the audience — presumably consisting of individuals who wouldn't tolerate a smidgen of violence against women — hooted, hollered, and clapped following Burton's rather misogynistic declaration:

Guess it's all good as long as the correct women get beaten up, eh, LeVar?
