She blames the doughnut and not the alcohol she drank.

The sugar in them can impair the driver's ability to safely operate a vehicle. :laugh3:

Ive heard of people whose bodies can turn sugar into alcohol and it makes them drunk, but that is very rare.

Mine does THAT.

I have three pieces of chocolate and I'm staggering.

I wash it down with a large whisky though.

I don't know who is "freaked out" about weed. Neither alcohol or weed is good for you.

The elk kolbassa I had last night affected my ability to drive and shoot gophers. Not the litre after litre of barrel wash. It was the God damned elk kolbassa.

Yes, sugar CAN ( but not necessarily) impair one's ability to drive.

As one who's driven professionally I'm aware of the role which diet plays when one us behind the wheel.

I'm also inclined to avoid large amounts of starch and sugar.

The best regimen for any professional driver is a well balanced diet low in junk food.

The driver should eat large & healthy servings of fish, seafood and lightly cooked vegetables

Too much heavy meat loaded with typical preservatives is not good either

Small amounts of alcohol are OK, but not during driving hours only downtime & after hours.

Nothing before a shift.

Ideally the driver should work with as little food in the stomach as possible.

Enough food to get by but not too much.

The driver's mind has to be clear.

That is why high consumption of fish & vegetables is good/ideal because it facilitates mental and physical agility.

The roads/ highways are a dangerous place.

The mentality should be 'survival of the fittest'.

Personally I move like a gazelle & smart as a fox.

I'm fast when I need ta be but slow when I don't need to.

It's called Pacing...eh?

Pacing...eh?

You don't think it was the excessive amount of alcohol she drank that affected her ability to drive.

Listen to people talk or comment about weed.  Its like its lethal or something.  I have no problem with weed, depends on how you use it.  If you smoke it all day long, then yeah, you are abusing it, but like me for example..I cant sleep so i use it to sleep and it works most times.  I use to take prescription sleeping pills and that messed up my health even more.

Id prefer not to smoke it but use the edibles, both THC and CBD.  But its difficult to get the edibles and the laws for it and availability are not fully in place yet.  Once they are, I will use the edibles and then eventually once my court is done, I most likely wont use it at all.

Gee...I wish I'd seen this when I was driving a police car 8 hours at a time, morning noon and night.

Lucky I survived, eh Joe?

You have Krispy Kreme in Australia? We only have one here in a nearby town called Delta.

Yes.

They're popping up everywhere.

Drive thru's, shopping mall kiosks. No wonder our accident rate is going through the roof.

"Your honour, police stopped the defendant's vehicle after it was observed driving erratically and noticed his breath smelled of icing, and there was an empty Krispy Kreme carton on the back seat. He was arrested for driving under the influence of donuts."

You make sausage out of elk?

Not uncommon at all in rural Canada..

We have had venison and moose sausage given to us in the past.

I haven't noticed a Krispy Kreme on my commute to work and home again..

If I travel in the city on weekends, I often take public transit, so again I don't notice any new chains.
