Another day. Another dead child on the same reservation. No comments section at the CBC as usual. As always indians and muslims get a free pass from scrutiny and opinion.

A toddler has died under suspicious circumstances in the Hobbema area, RCMP say.

Police received a report of an unresponsive 18-month-old around 5 a.m. Sunday. Efforts to resuscitate the child were unsuccessful.

Members of the Hobbema RCMP detachment, Wetaskiwin/Hobbema General Investigation Section, Forensic Identification Section and the "K" Division Major Crime Unit are now investigating the death. Police would not reveal the child's gender or give the exact location of the death.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.

RCMP say no firearms were involved, and there is no evidence suggesting the death was gang-related.
