You will have observed recently that a couple of blow-ins from Stomping Clowns have thrown down the gauntlet, challenging me to a flame match.
Now, I don't work for free, and I sure don't engage my talents where they will be wasted through lack of competition. However, I've asked my good friends Bricktop and Blurt if they would like to play pinata with SG's "finest", and they generously agreed to step up for the honour of the forum and slap these two flame fizzes back to their home turf with their tails between their legs.
So, it is ON. On behalf of the management and staff of the Blue Cashew, I hereby announce a FLAME MATCH.
A "demonstration" match (but there will be real blood) is arranged between King "Call me Kevin" Martini and his flame with no game, Dove, versus Bricktop The Brutal and Blurt the Bastard representing the Blue Cashew.
The stips (stipulations to the uninitiated) are;
One post a day, Mon thru Friday. One post per member per team, totalling 20 posts overall.
If a team misses a post on any one day that will be game over.
No run ins. Only the combatants (well, the two Cashew combatants and their prey) may post. Because we're not set up as a flame arena which would prohibit run ins, I will delete any post not submitted by the warriors. Of course, forum rules must be followed at ALL times.

Flaming in matches is dropping something great, as in, funny without all the easy trappings the game evolved into towards the end.
If you don't have a sense of humor, or can't take a joke, you really can't be a good flamer.
As a participant, I for one am looking forward to what Brick and Blurt and do and will do my best to top it.
But, if four guys are busting their asses to entertain you, and you still shit on it, then you shouldn't bother in reading it. And then, your missing out. Certsin matches from the past have stood the test of time as classics, the tag match between Joo and Alpha against Blackmuse and myself, for example. To this day people talk about that match and the bombs we were all dropping. Even Alpha, a notorious troll who I think, to this day, dropped the greatest post ever with the story picture flame of Blackmuses mother feeding him cookies and not letting me in the house because I was wearing a Darth Vader mask. That shits priceless.
I have faith the combatants will put on a show.

Good point. There is often a difference between what flamers do in day-to-day casual posting, and what they do in a match where they have all day to construct a post. Of course none of them admits to "pre-writes" but the difference is usually visible.

Good point. There is often a difference between what flamers do in day-to-day casual posting, and what they do in a match where they have all day to construct a post. Of course none of them admits to "pre-writes" but the difference is usually visible.
Whether they are pre-writes or not, I believe no one notices or pays attention to it. I suspect a good lot are loafers who fail miserably at real life. Nevertheless, they have an overvalued idea of themselves but only in the realm of internet forums. That is because, sadly for them, it is the only place they find purpose and meaning, though fleeting. It is also a realm where they manage to beguile the easily beguiled.
All day to construct a post? Some of us have a full life to live and have no spare time for foolish antics. For example, I do not owe another poster a response. I will respond only if I want to. I am not obligated to.

I smacked around 3 in a flame match once by myself and rendered all three net dead afterwards. If that's what you want, that's all on you.
As for the post stips, i f I don't post, I lose one post. It's actually quite simple. Instead of having 5 posts to work with, I now have four. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out but I'll work with you.

Losing 2vs 1 only means nobody will take you seriously if this were to happen again. As in, a flame match. That's really not what I'm looking for and would much rather provide something good for a few laughs where others can possibly partake in later.
There's ALOT of potential in you Blurt that I want many to see before I actually drop a bomb. I know what Bricktop will do, but I have no issue with you guys getting a little bit of spotlight before I actually drop a post.
See, I'm a vet at this shit. I really don't look for wins or losses and just want to have a must read match.
