Europe Could Be Plunged Into War If The Euro Collapses
http://www.dailymail.co.uk
Europe could be plunged into war if the euro collapses, Vince Cable warned last night.
The Business Secretary said the consequences would be 'incalculable' for Europe and 'awful' for the UK but cautioned that there was 'no automatic guarantee' that Europe would not disintegrate into conflict.
Mr Cable spoke out just two days after the European Union was handed the Nobel Peace Prize, an award that provoked widespread ridicule at a time when tensions over the single currency have led to violence and civil unrest across Europe.
Mr Cable told an audience at the Cheltenham Literary Festival: 'I think we need to take stock that if the eurozone were to unravel in a way that destroyed the European project - and there is a risk that could happen - the consequences would be absolutely incalculable.
'We tend to forget, until we were reminded last week of that Nobel Prize, the European project was constructed in order to rescue Europe from extreme nationalism and conflict. There is no automatic guarantee that won't return.'
The Business Secretary described the euro as 'very valuable' and said the UK would 'be heard very loudly if it does unravel'.
He added: 'My sense is that the Germans in particular realise how much is at stake. A series of sensible measures have been taken in recent months.
'I think deep down there is enough common sense and a sense of survival to prevent this getting out of control. If it does, I'm afraid the consequences for us will be awful.'
the biggest problem in Europe and most EU countries is that over the past thirty years they have allowed themselves to be infiltrated by various groups..... muslims, gypsys, communists, criminals, and guest workers to the point where these groups make up a significant percentage of the population......they have no interest of integrating into the host country's mainstream society and generally do what they can to agitate and take advantage of the many social programs available....with the reality of austerity for the foreseeable future in most european countries these group are demanding more and more and causing heightened security issues across the board.....modern democracies have very few mechanisms in place to deal will large scale anti government malcontents bent on destroying the country from within.....
quabec in canada is one example....until now we have kept the froggies peaceful by shoveling money their way.....what happens when some politician gets some balls and says enough is enough.....wait a minute..they're too gay and lazy to do anything...hahahahahahaha

Actually much further back. The notion of a vast socialist [Communist] state, The European Union [EU] could never be rationalized & workable but succeeded to suck dry most independent thinkers and ideas, whom up and left to the western powers, Canada included. Tis notion of entitlement went way too far and here we are today, a huge welfare sate, notwithstanding its immigration problems.
fuck those fucken wogs and dagos
let em have another fucken war
This is an interesting fact as Europe is in such dire financial difficulties

Despite being in the midst of the worst financial crisis since the formation of the European Union, Europe is still home to the world's most "prosperous" cities.
A new report from the United Nations Human Settlements Program (U.N.-Habitat) ranked the world's cities on a unique prosperity metric, and 19 out of the top 25 were all in Europe, and nine of them use the Euro.
Vienna came in first, not only weathering the euro crisis, but also over recovering from the brutal post-war era, when it was "full of refugees and people desperate to earn a living."
So why does the report claim that Europe's cities are so prosperous, despite daily reports coming out highlighting protests over austerity, unemployment, and income inequality?
Well, look at how the metric works.
The City Prosperity Index (CPI) takes into account five dimensions: productivity, quality of life, infrastructure development, equity and social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
Europe is one of the most environmentally conscious places on the planet. Much of the continent invests a large proportion of its capital in infrastructure; its roads, trains, and public transportation are some of the best in the world. And many European societies offer much broader social welfare programs than the rest of the world, which would influence the 'equity and social inclusion' and 'quality of life' metrics, respectively.
When you look at the metrics in detail, it makes a bit more sense why Europe dominates the CPI rankings. But the report goes further than ranking — it posits that that cities will be integral in combating the economic meltdown:
With adequate backing from higher tiers of government, the city appears as a flexible, operational, creative platform for the development of collaborative agendas and strategies for local responses to the global crisis.
Here's the list:
Vienna
New York
Toronto
London
Stockholm
Helsinki
Dublin
Oslo
Paris
Tokyo
Melbourne
Auckland
Amsterdam
Zurich
Copenhagen
Brussels
Barcelona
Milan
Warsaw
Lisbon
Budapest
Athens
Prague
Seoul
Moscow
It is interesting that Hong Kong is not on the list, Toronto is third ? Tokyo is there in spite of Japans current problems,Moscow is richer than Vancouver , former commies Warsaw is higher on the list than Moscow,Spain the basket case's Barcelona made the list. I wonder where Vancouver is ? Why didn't Calgary make the list ?
It must have been written by some smug self centered Toronto-oid cunt. Maybe one day Toronto will wake up and realise that they are just a big bunch of assholes from a huge flat suburbia
