And was rushed to the hospital...
it's on his brain stem and the surgeons don't think positive...
If you pray or well wish, think of him...he's only 6 years old...
Thank you

Damn it. I can see an adult having this happen, and figuring karma or some shit, but this shouldnt happen to a child. My thoughts go out to your nephew DD.

I am not a religious man, but in times like this prayer is warranted. Your family needs to stay strong through this my friend.

If very young kids are in the hospital, it should be for breaking a bone falling off a playground climbing frame. My thoughts and my heart are with you and your family Freud. acc_hugz

7 hour surgery, Fash... I don't know anything beyond that. He was put in a decent children's hospital.

It turned into a longer surgery because they wanted to re image at various stages to make sure they missed nothing...
And I just found out that none of the various tumours were cancerous!!!

It's awful, so I worked for a few neurosurgeons in my day.  Most neurosurgeons don't have the heart to remove tumors, they refer them out.  So incredibly sad, first they want the best to remove the tumor so they look for the "best" brain neurosurgeons in the area.  My Dr., once he finished med school, his mom was rushed for a bad headache and she died instantly.  So from that traumatic event, he tries to avoid it by all costs.
I have learned with dealing with certain brain tumors you have to find the best surgical solution or it's a wash, regardless.
Super checker, my condolences to you and your family.

I haven't had anyone I know get brain cancer. I had a high school teacher who died of a brain aneurysm.

OMG, Dinklage. I just read this thread. So super happy for your nephew. My cousin did not make it. He was a budding chef in college when they found his. My aunt is still a mess today. Poor aunt. I hope she gets a hold of her grief. She sometimes says she wants to die now to be with him but she still has 5 living children. What about them?
