Seriously, though, I hear you. When your interactions online no longer bring you pleasure, it's time to evaluate your options with a view to taking care of yourself and your circle of close friends. Sometimes, that means setting the livestock free and burning down the barn.
Been there, done that, too. I had to shut my own forum down, as well. My mistake was to open the place during a time of high rivalries between members of the same crowd on two different forums. It couldn't possibly work, but I had to try anyway. Lesson learned.
I wish you well. I hope you pop in once in a while to say hi.

I have watched my friends endure horrific abuse on SG that is unsettling. I've also ruined longterm friendships in the process of trying to piece this community back together... and it's simply not worth this level of effort or frustration. Look, I had a meltdown. The toxicity of your flametown community was overwhelming when combined with the recent demise of my 2 year relationship.
I ran Big's first successful board. Fupa is only good at stirring the shit pot and thrives on drama. We saw where that got SG by May 2019.
But Reaper and Fupa really messed up announcing that they didn't want guest posting here... that was followed up with the racist comments against the Asian community of BC when they didn't get their way.
Trust goes a long way in this community. I also have PM's from reaper showing that even he doesn't trust Fupa.
Enjoy posting at SG until she runs it into the ground... you have already bit the hand that was trying to feed you and I'm not making that mistake twice. I'm going to LOL my ass off when she finally gets what is coming to her... and she will have NO ONE to blame but herself.

I have watched my friends endure horrific abuse on SG that is unsettling. I just wanted to say that it was my pleasure meeting the BC community. However, returning online after a 5 year retirement to save SG was the worst mistake I've made in a longtime. I have watched my friends endure horrific abuse on SG that is unsettling. I've also ruined longterm friendships in the process of trying to piece this community back together... and it's simply not worth this level of effort or frustration. To put the record straight in why I left mmp.
I left mmp because I fundamentally disagreed with this anonymous posting malarkey.I've seen it used on several forums before and italwaysdescends in to a cluster fuck of PI being posted and good posters being run off of the forums for good.When I noticed Fash had opened this place up I told her personally what might happen and that I thought it was a bad idea.I then saw a thread at mmp where you wanted to employ the same idea.Now I'd just spent the best part of a day telling Fash that it was a bad idea, and I go on to mmp and notice you want to do the same.It was then I came to the conclusion that it was best that I just deleted my account and leave.Had I stayed it would have just descended in to row after row about this `guest` posting thing.And I would have looked like a total hypocrite continuing to admin and promote a board when I did not agree with the direction the owner wanted to take it.
