Title: Four years ago today...
Post by: Blurt on January 25, 2020, 01:52:54 AM
...some weirdo named Blurt joined this forum.

It's been a long, strange trip. Hanging out on this board has led to a few chages in my life. To wit:

- I started ordering my girdles from China.

- I learned why an eagle is not a birdie.

- I began wearing Uggs at work in order to reduce my carbon footprint.

- I developed a man-crush on Preston Manning.

- I turned my bathtub into a barrel wash still.

- I made friends from Texas to New South Wales via Saskatoon.

- I realized that there aren't many asses out there that are sweeter than fucking sugar.

- I became highly attracted to XXXXX.

A long, strange trip, indeed.

Here's to you bunch of nuts!  ac_drinks

I distinctly recall that day...

...I had just departed from Planet X and was excited to possibly perform my first anal probes on unsuspecting Earthlings....

My liege, and madam, to expostulate

What majesty should be, what duty is,

What day is day, night night, and time is time,

    Were nothing but to waste night, day, and time;

Therefore, since blurt is the soul of wit,

And tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes,

    I will be blurt.

Your noble son is mad ...

I would be remiss if I failed to join in Blurt's celebratory reminiscence of the past 4 years, given that I have been a most significant and profound influence on the "Blurt" personna. So much so that he felt compelled to bar me from his short-lived eponymous forum to both his great regret and significant missed opportunity. As he well knows, whither I go, posts and views surely follow.

To be fair, he probably remembers me more as "le destroyer des mondes", so perhaps his raising of the drawbridge was wise in retrospect.

As his one time muse and inspiration, it warms the cockles of my heart to see how he has blossomed and evolved into an adept flamer, much in the mold of myself when I was at the apogee of my game. It's something of a shame that I've lost motivation and hunger for "mano e mano" confrontation, as I'm sure our jousts would have been most entertaining, if not psychologically gory. Quarter would not be sought or forthcoming, I'm sure.

I registered at SG, but I haven't posted yet. That immature delusional punk thinks Shen and Herman are leftists for fuck sakes. He doesn't have any position on any issue that affects the pocketbooks of voters. His politics can be summed up like this: no black/brown people or gays living next door to him. And it's the state's duty to provide him with an uneducated white British society free of homosexuals.

He is brain dead, infantile, thin skinned and a paranoid schizo. The only poster comparable to him on the biggest waste of keystrokes is Sea Moron. Both BF refugees I might add.

The thing about SG is that the core posters are from flame boards. They have posted together for fifteen years and most of them are FB friends. Those of us from VF, BC and BF are trying to fit, but it aint easy.

And the Seoul brother is right, the BF crew, Scouse, Sea Moron, Dilf and that other fruit are forum filler.

I agree 100% with my Ukie brother, here.

The folks at SG are a good bunch for the most part. I quite enjoy spending time there but, it's true, they've all known each other for so long they're like a family. A dysfunctional one, to be sure, but a family nonetheless. Finding your place at the Groundz is almost like being adopted, in a way. Until you are, nobody gives you a second glance. Of course, this could be said of any forum, including the Blue Cashew or Vancouver Forum.

While I'll read threads at the SG wherein members wax nostalgic about this or that legendary poster or event, I don't participate in them because I just don't know what the hell people are talking about. Leo, for instance, no doubt would.

Brent, Evil Blood, Oranje, the Hoor Wars, SumCunt, Sir Super Southern, Feral, Caskur, CW, Chaos86 (or whatever number it is), Bonesaw, JooDog, etc., etc., are either unknown or little known to me.

But I'll tell you one thing, though: there's plenty of smart and funny people over there. It's a draw. And it's the main reason I bop around on any of these forums. To rub shoulders with smart and funny. I don't talk politics or (except occasionally) religion. I admire those who'll defend their beliefs in these spheres but I'm simply not one of those folks. I never set out to convince, nor to be convinced by, anyone and I ain't starting now.

I'm here for fun. And I aim to misbehave.

Brother Blurt, there's a reason why SG has more traffic than VF, BC, and BF combined. They offer something for just about everyone.

What!? VF is on the bottom of my totem pole lol. The only reason I go there (which is rare these days), is to see a couple posters, like Deadskinmask. I would say Scooter, but he posts at Jag's and BF's.

My ranking system always changes, but currently, this is my ranking....

4) SG

Lol, I chopped Scooter with a tin foil fro one time lol. Hes a good guy though.

Jag's is Jagassery.com, been around since 2008. A defunct of CJ members. Its real slow these days though. We have a closed door policy, so you wont be able to view the content.

Thunder?

One of Berry's gaseous anal expulsions has more potency than any thunder you might generate.

Let me be clear. Waving an illuminated torch around while making buzzing noises does not make you a Jedi. Applying lipstick does not make you a female.

And pithy remarks about my seniority falls far short of making you a flamer. You may be an eloquent and loquacious raconteur, short pants, but until you get yourself instantly banned from forums for being considered a threat to its existence (see "Blurtsome), or instigate drunken declarations of enmity and fury in a 15 minute tirade (see Freud:spreaker) let alone draw posts from former adversaries a decade after leaving their midst then you ain't even in the game.

That elderly gent to whom you refer is smirking at your Bichon style yapping in an effort to be respected as a big dog. As you may recall, my entrance to VF was akin to an unknown rottweiler wandering menacingly into a charming family picnic. Everything goes quiet...and everyone watches and waits to see what this interloper will do next.

On the other hand, you have all the menace and gravitas of Pee Wee Herman.

Four years? As kiebers and Blazor have noted, I've been in this game for twenty, and you don't see me posting self-serving testimonials. I let my reputation do the talking. Right now yours is whispering "Let's get out of here" as the curmudgeon puts aside his whisky, stands from his chair and starts walking in your direction.

Been in the game for twenty years, have you?

It shows. That would work out to roughly three paragraphs per year of service in any one of your replies.

I've noticed this about you Old Timey Flamers; your material is so stale and dated that you try to compensate by piling on the words. As if we're not wise to the ploy.

Listen up, Methuselah: flaming is about content, not quantity. Aim for a succinct pointiness, if you can. If you can't, well, one must surmise that whiskey overconsumption has dulled your edge.

Oh. Yes, the "bloke wears a frock" lame. Can't say I've ever heard you use that one before.

How original. If originality is, as you say, a virtue, you must be a virtuous man, then.

And yet you came here, to this little corner of the web, this safe space, to lord it over a group of non-flamers and to die a peaceful net-death, far away from the impertinent cads who dared hold their own against you, whereas I had the courage to waltz in under an avalanche of vituperations, recriminations, and character assassinations.

You may have had a modicum of courage, snotling...but your fortitude failed you. Dare I remind you that you were so filled with terror and temerity that you slammed the door of your forum in my face? Very courageous.

I also note that your flaming adventures are generally conducted in venues that I am not participant in and that are mainly inhabited by second tier wannabes that can barely withstand a tirade from Sea Major. You will note that he generates considerably more controversy than you, with substantially less effort.

I do recall you waltzing in, however. That event is etched in my memory. I even retained the photograph, which I post as a reminder to those who were there.

Surely, then, you can explain your desire to avoid participating "in venues mainly inhabited by second tier wannabes" while not making it look as though you lack the courage to face antagonists who have in the past repeatedly handed you your wrinkled ass on a platter?

By your leave, I will now crown you king. Not king of any jungle, mind you. No, we can leave that honour to genuine lions, Leo, not to pussy cats long in the tooth such as yourself. I had in mind something rather more prosaic and risible. I crown thee King of Stylish Self-Ownage. Indeed, you choose, on the one hand, to cast aspersions on my skills as a flamer (and find me wanting in that area) and yet you choose, on the other hand, to make me--the noobish speck--the sole blip on your radar screen. Who's courageous now, my verbose nemesis? You're a 10th grader in a schoolyard busy pummeling a 3rd grader while shouting at the top of your lungs so that all within earshot can hear, "Lookit here, everyone! Lookit this little pussy, how easy it is to beat him!" Your 20 years of community service in Flametown have done little to shore up your vanishing stock of courage, Leo. Even Dorothy's leonine pal had more courage than you do. How about you put your money where your mouth is by joining me in a venue mainly inhabited by second tier wannabes and we'll play it from there? Show us what courage really looks like, why don't you?

I'll tell why you won't: because you fear the second tier wannabes. You fear them as only a third tier has-been can.

When you've managed to locate your balls, well, you know where I'll be.

I'll be right here, mop in hand and the bucket nearby.

Why are you perpetuating your humiliation?

Let's use the analogy of an elite sportsman, shall we? No..wait...that would be unfair, because we are fully aware that your sporting prowess is even more underdeveloped than your flaming prowess. One can only imagine your revulsion at having to get changed in the same room as other men and having to expose Victoria's little Secret.

Let's use a musical analogy. A global phenomenon who has filled stadiums the world over has decided that he no longer enjoys the trials and tribulations of the music industry and retires. Along comes a talentless hack with a voice scarred by cigarettes and a strangely French twang that grates like Mel's truck gearbox who demands he perform in a seedy gay bar buried in a dingy basement somewhere in Canada's primitive urban wilderness in order to reinforce his legendary status.

That would be akin to asking you to wear Target lingerie and diamante Crocs.

Let me make this  clear. I have applied a reasonable effort to make your fourth anniversary memorable. That is the sort of benevolent and altruistic man that I am.

Instead of displaying gratitude and esteem, you proceed to embarrass us both with your below par ramblings and insinuations that I would be reticent to lock horns with your peers in the minor league.

Par honte, monsieur...

A global phenomenon?

This conjures an image of 76-year old Mick Jagger strutting his stuff on stage with the help of a stroller and a massive dose of Robaxacet.

And you think I'm the one humiliating myself?

Honestly, Leo.

I can do little else at this stage but to post one of LaFontaine's most cherished fables:

A master crow, perched on a tree one day,

Was holding in his beak a piece of cheese.

A master fox, by th' odor drawn that way,

Spake unto him in words like these:

    "Good-morning, my Lord Crow!

How well you look, how handsome you do grow!

Upon my honor, if your note

Bears a resemblance to your coat,

You are the phœnix of the dwellers in these woods."

  At these words does the crow exceedingly rejoice;

And, to display his beauteous voice,

He opens a wide beak, lets fall his stolen goods.

The fox seized on't, and said, "My dear good sir,

    Learn you that every flatterer

Lives at the expense of him who hears him out.

This lesson is well worth some cheese, no doubt."

The crow, ashamed, and much in pain,

Swore, but a little late, they'd not catch him again.

Thanks for the snack, Leo.  :icon_wink:

Say, you got any crackers?

Eh, bien Monsieur, you regard yourself as a fox

Is this when you're wearing one of your frocks?

With your face painted bright like a lurid sex doll

Beaucoup joie de vivre dans la cage aux folles

As you will note, I need no ancient fable

I write my own words, while you seem unable

I will admit however, that by your rhyme I am vexed

For I am failing to see how it fits the context

You are no flatterer and I am no crower

It's just I'm at the peak and you're some distance lower

I merely declare what we all know to be true

I'n not just a legend, I'm far better than you

But please don't feel bitter nor any shame

I'm far better than most at this incendiary game

Do you remember that day I first posted at Van?

Your eyes opened wide as you thought "What a man"

And ever since that most fateful of days

You've been honing your mimicry of my eloquent ways

Well, keep practicing, short pants, it's a long way to the top

You've got a distance to climb to reach this ex cop
