Title: I've never felt this way about the forums before
Post by: Anonymous on March 19, 2020, 03:12:02 PM
We are in the midst of a Chinese global pandemic, that's impacting all of the members of the forum community..

Posters are losing their jobs, we've lost a member of the forum community, and anxiety grows..

In all the years I've been posting I've never felt the way I do right now..

So much is happening so fast....it's overwhelming.

I went from working 12-13 hour days, 6 days each week to being unemployed. This change came about in 2 short months.

I see in another thread that you have to give up a company vehicle too.

It's probably not helpful for me to post this here, but as the preacher says in Ecclesiastes there is nothing new under the sun.

The historian Kevin Kruse (at Princeton) tweeted recently:

"As others noted, it's like the Spanish flu of 1918 and the stock market crash of 1929 at the same time, but overseen by Harding's total incompetence plus Nixon's pettiness and paranoia."

Nope. It's 100% China's fault. The coronavirus was created in a lab with the intent of destroying the West. China is a terrorist state.

When I was in Taiwan the name used was connected to the city in China where it was first detected.

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) yesterday said that it would use the name "Wuhan pneumonia" when communicating with the public about the disease caused by the previously-named 2019 novel coronavirus, after the WHO on Tuesday officially named the virus "COVID-19."

The virus was first detected in Wuhan, China.

Of course it's the Wuhan deliberate coronavirus despite what prog deniers say.

Wuhan is a legit and logical  name for it.

T has changed it to China .. also legit as the Chinese Govt deliberately played every game in the book with it  ... including silently sending it with people on planes .. Seattle was one destination, and got a few hundred returning  .. no doubt the cause of the horrible care home tragedy near by

China accepts no responsibility for the blood on their hands and the economic collapse the Western world is facing.....and they did this deliberately..

If China feels uncomfortable about the death and economic devastation they have inflicted on the world, that's too bad for the CCP.

Where in my post (the one you quoted) did I say anything about whose fault it was or wasn't?

But since you seem very positive there was a lab involved, please provide the GPS coordinates and the name on the door.

I'm willing to bet that more posters have died than we'll ever really know.

I can confirm two deaths from DV, but there are likely many more.  It's difficult to know, since most posters on anonymous forums don't post about their deaths!

For instance, I only found out that Salty Dog had died by doing a trace on his sailboat, which led me to his name when it was sold, which led me to an obituary.

We in the West are so used to freedom we don't think we're under any threat.  Not so. We need to stop preparing for the last incident and prepare for what could happen.  We were overdue for a huge pandemic.  It happened and we were caught with our pants down.

I didn't.  I don't typically chat with people privately, as I'm not here to make friends in that way.

This isn't FaceBook, and I don't attempt to turn it into such.

That said, I have a remarkable memory for some things, which would blow your mind...

Than how did you know his name. On second thought, never mind. I don't care about dead white guys anyway.

What I did know, was the name of his sailboat.  And his story from the forums.

I can put two and two together, with sailboat name registry, and his online story, as to be 100% certain that yes, that is his obituary.

My Kung Fu is strong.

Most posters forget certain things posted, and assume that we all must be friends behind the scenes, to know this.  This is not the case.

I was also the one that found out it was Mimi's kid that died from rabies recently here.  And I can assure you that Mimi and I do not communicate.

A 12 year old Topix post, with one name, and one post.  Then a Go Fund Me post with one name, and one post.  Connected to a series of other posts.

Again, I remember things that many do not even believe to exist, and can easily equate them.

It is why I'm ultra-perma-shitcanned from that forum.

We were overdue for an economic correction as well, if not a huge panic/crash like we are now witnessing.

There is too much debt in the system & sloppy fiscal policy which finally caught up to the West.

We in the West, and North America in particular are pretty good at responding to an economic crisis. But, the rapid measures typically used to stop steep economic decline do not work in a pandemic. As much as I agree with everyone that Shen Li has been posting like a brainwashed  idiot lately, she is right that the ways to stop contagion, also cause economic despair. That is the price we must pay.

East Asia learned their lesson from SARS. Hopefully, we learn from COVID-19 and we are prepared for the next global pandemic. And there will be another one.

Confirmed.

Richard John Broadbent is dead and did die on January 1rst 2015. His sloop was named "Saltydog" hence his online name. The obit in the Times Colonist (Victoria), and the Examiner (SF) confirm this so why do you lie? He had a heart attack, Julia his sister in Australia has confirmed his fate with a heartfelt note which I suppose being such a great friend you never got.

Why bother with an IP query when a subscription to a good VPN is so cheap? In today's day and age, IP addresses can be changed more often than underwear...and just for your edification, because I know this concept might be a bit strange to you, but most people change their undergarments daily. And believe it or not, they generally don't wait until their shorts are wet with some kind of bodily fluid before the refresh.

That being said in a guest posting situation, it's just easier and less time consuming to match the level of dumb-assery or douch-baggery to the poster. It may not be 100% accurate but niether is an IP query.

So who is the retard in this equation? ac_umm...I don't think it's all that hard to figure out.

Heinzy stands out as one of the very finest human beings I've encountered in nearly 2 decades of posting on forums. Highly intelligent, good natured, and humourous. A true gentleman. I chatted with heinzy many times.

Although there is more than five decades between us, we shared stories of the dangers of totalitarianism. Heinzy experienced it directly, and me indirectly as my paternal grandparents were killed during the madness of Mao the murderer's cultural revolution. It would be interesting to get heinzy's insights on the revolution of the rich and powerful that is sweeping the US today.

They don't make contributors like heinzy anymore. Now we are stuck with short, ugly, effeminate, useless, idiotic, attention whoring crybabies who crawl out of bed at 5 pm to begin their daily routine of beers and tears. Hey Dinky, you see why I am so fucking crabby lately.

Nope. It's 100% China's fault. The coronavirus was created in a lab with the intent of destroying the West. China is a terrorist state.

Where in my post (the one you quoted) did I say anything about whose fault it was or wasn't?

But since you seem very positive there was a lab involved, please provide the GPS coordinates and the name on the door.

In China, people with that sort of information are either dead or in jail.

I have been really really trying to like Peaches .. Insincere or blindly echoing his pied piper  make that difficult

Peaches HAS to know how the CPP rules. The answer is extremely disingenuous

Lab-made or not is not the real issue anyhow. Deliberately inflicting it upon the world was an act of war!!

Real  Issue is CCP locked down Hubei Province to keep anyone from getting into the rest of China

 - did not tell the world how easily infectious this virus was

- then during "their" lock down sent planeloads of people, many if not most infected into World cities from Wuhan,

(thereby deliberately infecting the world while protecting themselves)

Actually, biggest question is "Why does the left always try to protect China .. AKA the ruthless CCP"

and why does the left not mention Hong Kong atrocities

and why does the left not defend religions being decimated

and why does the left not defend muslims being held and fucked with in concentration camps

Anyone heard from heinzy?  There was a big pause and then a few  posts last year

He was extremely special to me  ... proved a few Krauts can be spectacularly good people

I don't know heinzy like you and cc do, other than when he posted here years ago..

I enjoyed his visits though.

You're confusing the two, and what they do/are.

A query can easily show if one is utilizing a VPN/Proxy, as opposed to their 'real' IP address.

You do understand what an IP address query is, right Renee?

So if I run a query, I know who's running through a VPN/Proxy, and who is not.  This is easy to find out, since real IP addresses will show a legit service provider...  meaning Telus, Bell, Shaw, AT&T, Verizon, Virgin, Sky, Etc, Etc, Etc., depending where you live.

Proxy IP addies, and it doesn't matter what server in the world they route through, or where, do NOT return a 'regular' service provider in that query.  However, those proxy/VPN IP addresses have (usually) their own unique provider that gets listed.  This means that an Admin can often determine who is who, even if posters run through a regular proxy/VPN.

For instance, your query may come up as having "Good Times Communication", just as a quick example, for the owner of your VPN IP Address.  Maybe another poster utilizes a different anonymizer...  This will also show up as something different...  Maybe "Cayman Island Internet and Trust," using a simple way to explain this...

A good Admin can learn who uses what, when, and where, and can deduce who's posting what.

Yes you can see the VPN IP but most subscription VPN services, Nord, Proton, etc have hundreds if not thousands of remote addresses to access.

In other words I could post here a hundred times in a day as a "guest" and not use the same IP address twice. You would then have to rely on your intution or your ability to decern one poster's writing style from another and then throw a dart and make a guess....Good luck with that.

Don't try to squirm out of the corner you have painted yourself in.

Just admit that a VPN will hide a guest poster from your useless little query and be done with it. Everyone already knows how it works, it's only you who doesn't get it. You really don't know who is who and it all boils down to a guess. Stop pretending to look smarter than you are, you can't manage it, you've lost too many brain cells over the years.

Ironically it's you who are always harping on the fact that the management here doesn't understand the concept of "guest posting" but yet you cannot grasp the fact that a VPN or any kind of proxy fits in with the concept perfectly. It simply adds another level to the anonymous aspect of "guest posting". I guess because of your natural tendency to "stalk", it throws a wrench in your bullshit.

I'm not.  I'm trying to explain to you how IP queries can be used as a tool for Admins.

You are completely out of your league regurgitating that "IP addresses can be changed with VPN."  You must understand that I am fully aware of that...  I know about IP addresses, VPN's, and Anonymizers better than most.  Just ask any Mod or Admin on these forums, if I know about IP addresses...  They most likely know that I do.

If you have read this far (doubtful, but possible), the point I was trying to make (which I'll repeat once again, just for you) is that IP addresses are also pinned to an owner.  That owner is generally a service provider...  Like AT&T, Telus, you name it.  A service provider will generally appear also, when IP addresses are queried.  Any IP address that flows through a proxy, VPN, or whatever you want to call it, still has a 'service provider' attached to it when queried.  Depending on the proxy, these 'service providers' will show up in a variety of different ways in a query.  That provider can be a useful tool when determining who's who, regardless of IP address.

Now if you've made it this far Renee, congratulations...  I hope you don't try to school me for a third time, on how IP addresses can be changed.  I fucking know they can, you obese twat!  Why the fuck do you think you had such a hard time banning me?

I'll give you an example of this in action:  Scouse posted on my board.  Another poster on my board that was intent on creating shit posted there too.  Both of their IP addresses originated from almost the same location (literally a few miles apart at times)...

Scouse didn't use a proxy.  I could tell this due to him using a legit service provider.  The problem poster used a proxy, and as such it was easy for me to determine who was who due to service provider, and NOT IP addresses.  Whether the shitposter chose a proxy in close location to Scouse may be coincidental, but it also may not be.  Regardless, it doesn't matter to a good Admin...  A good Admin can figure out who the fuck is who.

I don't try to control anyone Mel, least of all you. It's impossible to do. I can and will edit or delete things like I just did though. Don't lecture me on who is who. I know you do not post a lot of the Mel posts. You did post what I deleted. This is guest posting and people love fucking with you. No different than what you do. Besides, accusing you of making a post you didn't make, is a current troll that works quite well. Me antifa...LOLOL you do realize that you actually fit that description better than me. That is funny.

And yes it is what it is.  ac_drinks

Fair enough.  I appreciate your candor.

But you still couldn't figure out who the so called "shit poster" was because they were using a proxy IP address. But that poster could have been anyone even one of your regulars.

I don't care if you can see a non proxy IP address...Big fucking deal....its not a superpower, you fucking moron. Stop acting like it is.

But the fact remains that someone guest posting under a VPN is hidden to you and you have no fucking idea who they really are....Walls of text written directly out of your ass is not going to change that.

BTW, no doubt the proxy IP was a coincidence. With a good VPN you can pick and choose the IP address you want to use. Many VPN services route their traffic through secure networks in countries like Iceland or Switzerland who have strict laws governing privacy so that even if the end point server is compromised, your privacy is still secure.

I have never been married and I do not have kids. I have never paused my career so I can drink beer and whine online after midnight every night either. Though I admit, it sounds like a much healthier past time, mentally and physically than golf trips to Florida and working out. Maybe, I should dump my girlfriend too so I have something to cry about from one to to six am seven nights a week.

I too made the choice, a long time ago, more than half of my life actually.  Had I not, I'd have surely been long dead by the end of the Reagan era.  But I had a lot of help from others who showed me the way... probably couldn't have done it alone.

Hi, my name is Guest. It has been five months to the day since I last had a beer.

Nobody showed me The Way and I undertook no stinky 12 step program. I didn't make any conscious choice to stop drinking alcohol, I simply didn't feel like going to the liquor store to buy take out tinned and bottled shit and getting maggoted like I did on the odd occasion over quarter of a century ago wasn't something that interested me.

I will have a drink again. But not today. Probably not tomorrow or the day after either. Maybe next week sometime, but don't count on it.

I am not an alcoholic.

I didn't have any help...I drank for stress related reasons.  I tried to get a few friends to do it with me and they didn't want to.  I stopped hanging out with them and went my own way.

Fast forward 18 months in, ive completely changed my life, lost excess drinking weight, I lift weights daily and have put on muscle tone...I am so satisfied with myself!  I look great in everything, again!  Ran into an old friend I use to drink with (who I also asked to quit with me, but she didn't)...she couldnt believe how great I looked and started crying...she's gained a lot of extra weight from drinking, probably mostly summer time CERB collecting drinking....but geez lady, I told you to quit with me! But no, you wanted to sit at home, drink and eat crap.  Even my kid is impressed with me...she says I have more energy now and wants to lift with me!

It's a very good thing! Quitting drinking was the best decision I ever made.  Plus, I've saved so much money! Alcohol is ridiculously expencive. I've bought a car and new furnature, and now I'm saving for a future trip somewhere.

Congrats to IHJ, Peaches and Guest for staying sober ...keep it up guest, it gets better! Don't give in!

I never got fat from drinking, but I'm naturally thin. Like you, my lifestyle is much healthier without alcohol.

You are lucky.  My body retains all the alcohol and just bloats me really bad.  Within 6 months of quitting alcohol, eveything literally just melted right off...

The lifestyle is sooo much better! 👊

Genetics and metabolism play a big part...  I weigh the same as I did when I was 16, but most importantly I don't consume large quantities of unhealthy food.

Nice spelling...I generally get it all out at work...my job is physical so it helps to get everything moving.  I don't drink much coffee...lots of water or Gatorade.

I've posted enough pics to prove that I'm not fat, nor balding.

I can't edit my posts, so there.

And I bet you hold your shit in until you can shit on company time, right?  I've worked with people like you!  10 minutes after lunch break they decide to hide in the shitter for half an hour!  Every day like clockwork!  Actually, I usually do this too!

Actuallly, I prefer to shit in the comfort of my own bathroom at home, but since I'm always on the go at work, I have no choice.

My job is not boring, plus I rarely take breaks....I do take a quick 5 whenever to have a smoke.

Anyone who hides in the bathroom at work has a boring job...I've had a couple of those in the past...I can't do a one spot, everyday job.

The workee kind.  The kind where you don't need to hide in a bathroom.
