It had got a lot of awards last session, Utube a couple shows or if you have Shaw check out AMC, they have the full shows for free. But!! only if you like blood , gore , and dead things lol

Yep, the only way to take out a walker is a head shot, either by shooting or sword. Or in some gruesome scenes, head stomping :-o

Oh no Fash don't let the little ones watch it, strictly for adults. You have to remember its not real and its all fun and games lol. Sharlee said the same thing but after she seen a few shows she seen the story behind the blood, it really is a work of art. Give it a chance.

I don't what it is Keeps, but as soon as October rolls around I am in the mood for ghoulish and gore movies. Once we hit November 1, I don't want to see em again for another 11 months.

yikes... I hate that word. When I was in like grade 6 we had an Asian boy who everyone called the "C" word, I was always under the impression it was like calling a black guy the N word as its like calling Asians the C word. Why do people have to label people....Im over thinking again...blah

Well when a African-American uses the n-word it is hardly the same context as when a person who is not black uses it. The same with the word "chink". When I use it is obviously in a different context than how someone who is not East Asian uses it.. I'm kinda taking the word away from bigots.

To tell you the truth Shen, im not all in to the blood and guts shit ,its more the people and what would I do if this was real, The suspense, The Trill of them getting bit... I love how they do the make up.

Have you ever seen Night of the living dead? The first one? Thats how i got "into" the dead thing.

I used to love two and half men, i watch it if nothings on, Hey did you know they fired the kid on the show (jake) you show see the video he posted on utube, he was bashing the show something bad, it almosts seems like he was in a cult or Scientology or something. wish i could find it i would link it.

I heard Angus Jones was fired for biting the hand that feeds him. I don't like that show anymore anyway.

In hell you receive everlasting pain; in purgatory you are just board as shit. It's 4:40 pm here, I've got some shake and bake pork chops in the oven, corn and yellow potatoes on the stove.  Hubby and kids are making pasta and prawns tomorrow. And a variety of flavored cheesecakes. We're celebrating my birthday :-)

That's okay, Fash. There is nothing wrong with this show and I understand it's not for everyone. I like the story line not the zombies. I like to see how these people survive during a post-apocalyptic world. Close to 18 million people viewed this show at the beginning of the season. The ratings have only grown since the beginning of the series. Many of us on the forums like it but some are cowards because their friends don't like it so they pretend they don't like it also.

I was just thinking about the show Fashy, What might help you understand how ever one sees this show and the passion for it is watch the Talking Dead which follows every episode and explains the meanings behind the scenes they do.... I think you are focusing to much on the blood and gore and the violence of it which in my mind is a very SMALL part, granted they show an extreme amount of blood but thats what the "fans" want. The characters on the talking dead explain that its their "family" and how passionate they feel about what they are doing for the fans.

With that said im not trying to get you to watch or change your mind, just thought i would explain myself about what i said "its like a cartoon".

Yep today's episode I haz to wait....Talked to hubby and we have decided we will be ordering Netflix and cutting the cable, we only have basic cable and Shaw cut all channels that don't have a cable box so we can only watch tv in the downstairs living room where the box is. I almost never even watch tv except downloading a half dozen shows a week. Hubby likes his shows and he doesn't know and is afraid to download anything sooo I talked him into doing the Netflix. Too lazy to sign up tonight though lolol

He just can't understand why these Alexandrians don't seem to have a good grasp of the seriousness of life outside their walls. Someone needs to educate them about what they've gone through--the Governor, Terminus, the band of thugs, etcetera. It's not Kansas anymore.

I will admit that I bought into all the hype that someone was going to die. So I was actually afraid to watch it.



That said, I thought it was really good. I rarely get caught off guard in storytelling and the finale ended in a way I never would have predicted.

I watched Z Nation on Netflix and felt it didn't have the punch that WD has. I know they're trying to make fun of themselves (by copying every single other zombie show and movie), but they do a rather bad job of it.



I just found out about IZombie. I have to admit, I liked the first two episodes. Quite clever and goofy. And I loved Veronica Mars.

I was watching a rerun of The Walking Dead this weekend. It was the episode where Rick, Michonne, and Carl were in the dark and they find Daryl again. Unfortunately, Daryl was with a troublesome gang. This gang was looking for Rick who killed one of their friends in a house they were all hanging out at. Remember when one of this gang members was about to assault Carl? I just realized how annoyed I am with Carl because all of a sudden, he has no strength to fight back. What a wimp. :mad:

It premiered last year, it has it's own story line, character plots etc.  It seemed like a short season but at least it was an introduction.  It comes back on April 10th. Just in time for us Zombie freaks who are missing The Walking Dead  :laugh3:

 Well, in the comic book, Glenn dies exactly that way in that situation. By Nuegen, with the bat.  It's more than likely Glenn. This is why my hubs and I knew for sure Glenn lived through that dumpster ordeal.  Nuegen and the Savoirs are such an awesome, intense part of the story line and Glenn's death was so brutal there was no way they'd change this part.

 Of course! Haha.  Seriously it's not like I just ruined it.  I'm super excited about the Savoirs. Negan.....oh man lol.  I was disappointed in Rick. He looked all pale like he was shitting his pants. Carl handled that shit so much better.  There is a rumor that they swapped out Glenn for Daryl, and are giving Glenn's death to Daryl....but honestly if they do that, I don't know how they plan to forward the story line. I won't go into what happens now, but it depends on Glenn being killed by Negan. It's pretty critical to the story.  But even if I just spoulered...they COULD have altered it still but if they didn't, if they stay true to the story, you guys won't be dissapointed. It's about to deliver!

They didn't follow a lot of stuff from the comic books, that's what makes it hard to give spoilers. Personally, at first I was thinking Abraham only because of all the clues they gave on him in the last episode. Like him and Eugene  bonding and saying "goodbyes" and Abraham talking about a new beginning by wanting to start a family. Also he was one of the few to show he wasn't scared of Negan and acted like he could take whatever would be dished his way.  That fearless attitude was usually reserved for Daryl, he was always fearless. I hope it isn't Glen either and I certainly hope not Daryl because then people will riot lolol

For the record, I dislike anyone or any group that threatens our band of survivors. I like Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan, in The Good Wife but he's truly evil here.



I don't mind if they kill off Eugene. If it is Glen, Maggie will lose it.

 Negan and the Savoirs are organized and powerful. They are way more dangerous and together than thugs.  Negan makes the Governor look like a baby.  I'm excited about them...the show needed the introduction of an overwhelming enemy. I don't think they have no care for eachother, they are just hardened.  I knew something heavy was going to happen when they busted into one of the Savoirs nests and proceeded a slaughter.

Even though Negan supposedly doesn't hurt women or children, now I'm wondering if it could be Maggie? In one shot we see just the top of the back of their head and they have dark hair with no hair in their eyes, they can see the bat. And Glen is heard whimpering "Maggie, Maggie" while it's happening. Or could it be someone else and Maggie starts to maybe get sick or pass out and Glen is calling to her to try to keep her alert? But in a past interview with Andrew Lincoln (Rick) he says that he couldn't sleep and this was disturbing for him. Could it be Daryl? Or maybe even Michionne? They did cut her dreds so that might have been the top back of her head.  At first I was sure it was Abraham but now I just don't know  ac_dunno

Wow that first episode this season was shocking in its brutality (even for that show) .

We knew they would take out one major character, but two?  That was a surprise.  And then the choice with the cutting off carl's arm.  I was floored.  It reminded me of the Game of Thrown's "red wedding" episode.



IMO they did a great job in making people want to hate the new villain, Negan right off the bat (sorry for the pun :laugh:)



I don't know what the rest of the season will be like, but that, IMO was a great start.

Gotta say that felt particularly realistic, gruesome, unexpected and sad at the same time.  It made me want to jump in my TV and go after Negan, I had to remind myself it was only a show :laugh: .  IMO, Only game of thrones could compete on such a nasty, gutwrenching level of surprise.

The beauty of this show, to me, is the fact that it feels realistic, as you've seen. It is not a fairy tale, just like real life. They are all vulnerable. No one lives forever and some will not survive. I can't wait to see  how Rick will end Negan. I will take pleasure in watching that.

So what's going to happen next?



It was only one episode, but I can't help wondering if Rick is going to be beaten down for a while.  Much the like the Thrones "Reek" character (Theon Greyjoy) who was figuratively and literally (ouch :ohmy: ) emasculated by his Tormentor Ramsey Bolton.  It may take some time and something big to shake Rick up and help him find his courage again to go up against Negan.

Negan has arrived, and we're already wishing he would go away. After several months of The Walking Dead fans freaking out about who the new villain would kill, we watched him kill two major characters on the season premiere: Glenn and Abe. While we're still getting ourselves together from the horrific experience, we do know how the rest of Negan's storyline plays out in the comic book series. The Walking Dead TV series has veered from canon before, so we can't assume any of this will really go down on the show.



At this point, you have to know that in the comic books, it's Glenn who Negan mercilessly beats to death with Lucille. So after all that ugliness, Negan and a group of the Saviors head to the Alexandria safe zone to take a bunch of stuff from Rick's people. Carl ends up hiding in the truck with Negan's men on the way back, and when he's found out, Carl uses an assault rifle to kill a bunch of the Saviors. Rather than killing him, Negan takes an interest in Carl. He shows Carl around his compound, the Sanctuary, makes a stop to torment one of his many wives, and forces Carl to remove the bandage from his eye socket. Negan even lets Carl hold Lucille while he burns the face of a man whom his "wife" slept with.



Days later, Negan goes by Alexandria and is approached by Spencer Monroe when Rick is gone. Spencer tells him that Rick is a bad leader and that he (Spencer) should be in charge. Negan kills him on the spot for his cowardice — RIP Spencer. Negan and Rick butt heads one last time before he leaves Alexandria, and on his way back to his compound, Negan is attacked by Rick and his crew. Negan basically laughs in his face, and Rick realizes that he's surrounded by Negan's army. There's a scuffle, but Negan ends up back at the Sanctuary to prepare for "All Out War." (This is a big deal in the comics.)



Rick is actually the one who initiates a fight with Negan and his men. He tells Negan to clear the space of women and children, and when Negan refuses, Rick and his men open fire. Rick's army takes out a portion of the walls, allowing zombies to pour in and flood the courtyard. In the heat of battle, Negan catches one of his men about to rape a woman from Rick's side. Negan stabs him and apologizes to the woman. Despite having several wives, Negan does not approve of sexual violence. Part One of the war ends with Negan's men bombing Alexandria with grenades.



The next day, Negan comes up with a plan to cover Lucille and all of his men's weapons in zombie guts. That way, whoever they hit will be instantly infected. They attack Rick's colony, and Rick ends up getting shot with an arrow. Negan and his men temporarily retreat, and when they go to take over Rick's people, Negan is shocked to see that Rick is still alive. Rick manages to convince him that they shouldn't be fighting; they should be pooling their resources to fight the zombies — then he slashes Negan's throat. Don't freak out; Negan doesn't die.



Two years later, Carl goes to the basement in an unknown house and talks to a shadowy figure about a girl who showed him her boobs. (I'm not making this up.) The man asks Carl if he still wants to kill him, and Carl says, "Yes, Negan. You know I do." He's been living in the basement for two years! He and Rick have some loaded discussions about mercy and why Rick is really keeping Negan alive. Negan ends up escaping with a character named Brandon Rose. He's still alive in the comics, but he's missing in action.



And there you have it! That's Negan's storyline as far as we know. Let's see how closely the show sticks to the books.

I think the women will join Rick and his group and Carol will bring her newly found friends to join Rick as well. Combined they will have lots of ammo and people to fight Negan's group. Also all the new people will most likely have tricks and useful info up their sleeves to bring to the table and that will also help to defeat Negan.

I've gone off the show a bit, I think its the lack of action in favour of in depth soap opera type storylines.  



George A Romero described the show something along the lines of a soap opera with the occasional zombie scenes....

I did not want spoilers and I did not like to read about a story that will not be followed by the same details in the TV series so I opted not to buy it. I'd rather watch the TV series story.

The show has changed, they have chosen to concentrate more on character development like a fucking soap opera rather than give the fans what they want.....  blood, gore, and zombies!! That along with the never ending faction feuds.    ac_boring



For a small fee, the producers could use my ideas if they so wished, which would involve a huge fucking shake up, including most of the main characters being killed off and replaced with new ones and a change of location from the constant rural countryside settings to the inner cities (sure they had been overrun but a story where the army managed to retake a city could be made and things could go from there). They are running out of originals...Rick, Darryl, Carol...Morgan if you consider him an original...but we've picked up some great new characters...including Negan. He revitalised the show.

You may also ask why, when people set forth on quests, they decline to wear even the most basic armor that would offer considerable protection against teeth.



Likewise, why they don't employ more explosives, which would be plentiful in hardware stores, police stations, military bases or home cooked.



Ditto heavy machine guns, armored vehicles, tanks and APC's.



But we don't care, because we've already suspended our beliefs by virtue of the fact that they are surviving a totally unrealistic zombie apocalypse, you drooling fool. So we enjoy the human drama, horror and survival of fictional characters like...well, like "Dinky Dianna" for example.

Alkaline and other off the shelf consumables including rechargeables can easily last 10 years plus provided they're not making contact.

I love the show, both shows actually, but the writers need to be more mindful about some details is all I'm saying.



I liked how they cottoned onto the idea that the museum would have an untapped seed vault yet did they need to try to rescue an old Conestoga wagon frame or a dug out canoe? Why not go in with a video camera or still camera and tape measure, notepad and pencil so they could get what they needed quickly and safely.



I could see maybe taking the plough though. Small and usable.

I'd rather wear the dead's guts and have 4 bricks worth of 22 LR to run through high capacity mags with silencers.



Walk with them when you can. Head shot them when you can't and 22 LR would be an easy and magnificent round for it.



Also considering how many BB's are in a carton, the number of pump air rifles around, and the softness of ancient rotting zombie skulls, Alexandria should have thought of this.

I am filled with dread at the looming demise of Rick. I wonder how it happens. It will be a dreadful night for me. He was the sole reason I followed this series--finding him unconscious in a hospital bed as a blood-thirsty walking dead mob was just outside a locked door near his ward, trying to push their way through. He was compelling. I wanted to give this unknown actor a chance by watching the first season premiere episode when it first came out. So skeptical was I that I was not expecting to follow it or watch the next episodes. As the story involved zombies, I disliked it intensely. Little did I know that the story and the rest of the cast would leave me at the edge of my seat and wanting to know what happens next. It also did not help that I found some of the characters endearing.



From the original cast:

Rick - Soon to meet his fall.

Daryl - How long will he stay?

Carol - How long will she remain unstoppable?

Maggie - How good is her staying power?



The rest came in later seasons.



The show will not be the same after Rick. I am not sure I will continue watching after he is gone but we shall see how it goes.

Maggie was not an original.



She was Herchel's daughter that they came upon when they sought help after Carl was shot (for the first time) at Herschel's farm. He was a veterinarian.



If memory serves there were three daughters.

Oh, and there's Morgan who is actually the first human Rick spoke to after he woke up at the hospital. Morgan lost his mind though after he lost his son, and he was gone for a while and returned and went over to join the Fear The Walking Dead story. I still have to catch up on that one.

The TWD world is in Washington DC/Georgia area.



It gets somewhat cold in there during winter and it causes the batteries in stores to deplete and get ruined in less than a year.

Michonne's friend Jocelyn was a mental case. So much has happened since we lost Rick. I guess we are learning, slowly, how they all coped after. I am still not sure why Michonne is a bit distant now to Carol and the others. Still miss Rick immensely but I suppose the story line is pretty good. It keeps me interested.

I think the TWD has become a little repetitious.



In the early days it was survivors vs zombies.



Since the days of "The Governor", zombies have become almost incidental to the survivor vs survivor theme. It has become somewhat worn out in that respect. I'd like to see more zombies, less rogue humans.

No big outlay or remanufacturing knowledge needed. It's stupid. Norman Reedus keeps retrieving his arrows and wiping his blades on all sorts of attire.

My wife and I watch it. The plot holes are sometimes infuriating. I guess I learned to ignore the obvious stupidity that a corpse could have a semi functioning brain 7 years after its death. On a side note, I own a 6" Colt Python. I call it my Rick Grimes Gun!
