The only caveat is that Doogie will now be a female, who's half-Asian/half-White...  And will live in Hawaii!

A reboot, with a different gender, race, and location. This sounds like a different show, not a reboot. Are these fuckers not creative enough, to come up with a different show/movie if it reflects a different character than what the original was!? I mean FUCK! I wasnt much of a Howser fan, but this forced gender/race/etc shit is getting old.

Short answer... "no". Slightly longer answer... Disney is hemorrhaging cash from all its orifices at present and looks set to furlough all its live action crews anyway, so don't expect much of anything in the way of reboots any time soon.

Oh, as a postscript to the above, Rotten Tomatoes is starting to cop a beating in the lamestream media for not being relevant in terms of critics scores versus actual audience enjoyment. It's even been suggested this started about the time that Ghostbusters 2016 came out. Only took four years and a pandemic to force these clowns to the table.
