Title: Applied for $1,000 worth of beer money today...
Post by: Anonymous on May 01, 2020, 11:54:35 PM
If you live in BC, and qualify for CERB, you can apply for a one-time $1,000 welfare cheque from BC gov starting today...

In 10 days, I'll apply for another $2,000 welfare cheque from Federal gov...  It's for the greater good.

It often varies, but in this Province the best deals are usually around $40 for 24 355/ml cans, all taxes/deposits included...

I did not come to Canada to collect a pittance from the government. I was earning more than ten times this amount.

I understand that, but I've also stated that quite a few trades guys I've worked with will also freelance on the side for cash money, and there's nothing stopping you from doing that, if you keep your shit on the down low.

Understand that the entire world is fucked up right now, due to the Shanghai Shivers...  I don't think you could've escaped this no matter where you moved to.  You would've been affected, regardless of where.

Many people will permanently lose much more than you will temporarily lose, so look at the bright side...

Gaon is a HVAC tech. The only construction work being done is emergency work. I don't see much work for his trade right now.

If I was on EI, I would have to dip into savings.
