I hunt mostly on my own land since it has some of the best grounds.

I have never gone hunting Jay, but I had many opportunities to go. My ex-bf was really into hunting. I have no problem eating wild game, but I do not want to kill it. The only thing worse than that would be field dressing an animal.

If you have buddies that hunt, you should ask them if you can tag along. We are entering hunting season now. They probably would not mind having someone to share expenses.

I'm not sure if hunting game is legal there outside Vancouver. spca and other associations have set up some legislations against hunting wild animals in Vancouver. by the way, I just wanna kill those irritating crows by hunting

Good hunters are the ones who hunt and kill humainly and reasonably and use all the meat to feed their family. I don't like it when hunters only hunt for the sport of it :-(

Organic meat, saving money/making money, tastes better and excersize..

The guts go to the dogs.

And of course there´s the wild feeling... It´s a rush.

my reason of hunting crows is because they always drop down some "goods" on my car, and they always spot cars as their toilets. they also drag the garbage bags out of the trash cans and mess up anywhere. if I'm allowed to eliminate all them, I won't let one get off.

maybe I'll kill the crow, stew them in boil water, and leave it as dinner for black bears.

no way. do u think I have strength and courage enough to kill a bear by only a hunting knife?

I don't even have gut to shoot a bear with a short gun. moreover, brown bears are rare kind of wild animal

With a hunting spear then... It´s probably illegal there too but I know guys whom have done it. You´ll have to make the spears yourself. 2x throwing spears and 1x long-spear should be enough.

When it comes at you, you can support the long spear into the ground and run it through the bear.

Might aswell go back to the roots, you know..

You are too stuck up. I´m joking with the guy. He barely could hold a rifle in his hands.

I know hunters whom have killed brown bears with throwing spears. The long spear would be insurance..

I know men have killed full grown bears with hunting knives when they are really desperate here. But men used to be alot tougher.

Usually of course we hunt with rifles/bows but I would like to try a hunting spear.

I have no faintest interest in hunting bears. Hunting bears sounds cruel and inhumane. they shouldn't be treated like that. after all, most of them will to get along with human peacefully.

That's what the bear said after he shoved the knife up the guys ass and ate him.

While I am sure there are a few people in history who have successfully fought off a bear with a hunting knife and survived, the chances that you "know" any of them is extremely slim.

It has happened here several times in past 100years. One guy hacked 2 bears down with an axe but the bears were what we call "eraus-poikanen" meaning young.. Un-skilled.

The guy died of his wounds.

We have 80+ year old hunters still active in our hunting-club. I meant that I personally know men whom have taken down bears with spears which is alot easier.

I would really like to try hunting animals with the old ways before we had firearms...

You are right about that first statement.

It is repeating itself. Older dudes calling young dudes boys and weak. "that´s not how they did it in my youth".

But the world has took a turn from the old ways in mere decades and that phrase doesn´t mean the same.

We are still pretty native around here.

Grizzly and polar bears are rare sightings, but black bears have learned to live among humans. They are so plentiful in urban areas they have become a dangerous nuisance in some places. Controlled hunts or relocating them becomes necessary in some instances.

Considering some aspects of your point, I agree with u Mr.seoulbro. Black bears are getting used to the human inhabiting environment and become a potential cause to have threatened kids and pets.
