Title: Are you giving out to trick or treaters?
Post by: Anonymous on October 30, 2013, 10:06:43 PM
I will take my children and some of their friends out trick or treating tomorrow night, so my husband will hand out to the kids..

I bought Peeps Pumpkins, 3 Muskateers Minis, peanut M&M's and York peppermint patties..

Will you give out to trick or treaters?

How many children do you usually get each year at your door?

I believe we had something like 50 children come to our door last year.

Sweet!

My apartment building gives out goodies in the lobby. I haven't given out trick-or-treats in years. I kinda miss that! But I'm always out in the 'hood on Halloween enjoying seeing everyone all dressed up and having fun.

Have fun!

Thank you Romero, it is fun seeing children and parents dressed up in their costumes..

Adults look forward to it as much as children do in some cases.

Almost all of the kids in our neighborhood had been bad this past year, hubby and my daughter don't want to give out candy. They're a little peeved at me for wanting to and I will do it anyways. I did have a big box of small chocolate bars but we've almost eaten them all. So they'll be getting chocolate eyeballs and suckers. We have lots of sugar packets too and I've been contemplating giving those to the really bad kids, muahaha!

How have they been bad Ms. Annie?

They call other kids racist names, saying very hurtful things that are personal to other kids. Stealing from people's yards, destroying property, so really really bad!

:o It seems there are some little devils in your neighbourhood, but they can't all be like that can they?

There are a few that are ok, but the ones who call my daughter a "retard" I don't like at all. She's has special needs from birth and is mentally challenged.  Other stuff like death threats which are totally uncalled for, those are the worst.

That is terrible Ms. Annie and my heart breaks for your daughter and you too..

Death threats are being made against who?

They tell her "die!' "die!" or say I kill you! I kill you! And throw sticks at her and other kids. I've tried talking to their parents but they don't speak English or they say they're child didn't say or do anything. And then they do it again and again.  Hubby talk to them all the time and has calmed them down quite a bit the past few years, so maybe there's hope.

When I see them I tell them it's hurtful but they don't care. So I say fine, no candy for you this Halloween! It doesn't seem to faze them.

You meant death threats against your daughter?

This is a matter for the police Ms. Annie..

I would urge you to get the police involved if this ever happens again.

These are kids under 13 years too, I like to give kids chances to redeem themselves and sometimes they do by calming down but this past summer they were horrible :-(

If they are making death threats you have to get the authorities involved Ms. Annie.

I don't want to intrude into your family's personal business, but if death threats against your daughter are being made you have to assume they are serious.

Don't you just love that? It's always the same indignant bullshit from these half-assed parental types, "not my child".

Stupid bat blind parents have been using that as a mantra for decades and it is getting harder and harder to stomach. A lot of parents today don't want to acknowledge that their precious little snowflake might actually need or deserve a good kick in ass once in a while. It requires too much effort on their part. If there is one thing we do not need in this world it is lazy, disconnected, over indulgent, fools raising kids.

My advice to you is you have a special needs child and she is being threatened or harassed or assaulted, go to the authorities with it. Kids will be kids but that kind of shit is on a whole different level. It needs to be nipped in the bud or it will get worse.

We've had 10 kids already! Hubby finally came around and is actually giving out candy! He gave sugar packets to the bad kids and the good ones got good candy, which was about 4 kids LoL

We only had 11 kiddies. :(  I got heaps of leftover Kit Kats and Smarties. The ones we did get were so cute though. One little guy was dressed up like Gene Simmons of Kiss and his mother was the drummer. I wanted to hug and kiss him he was so cute.

We seemed to have fewer trick or treaters this year because we had more treats leftover this year than in the past..

The weather was good and my children and their friends got lots and lots of candy..

Now the part they don't like. I ration their treats.

The Halloween here was canceled for the weather, and the city said have it the next day. It was real windy, cold, and wet out so I understand.

I remember worse, and we got out in almost blizzard conditions, and stormy weather.

Kentucky kids are made out of pudding. Halloween here in the Czuk means cold and snowy conditions.

Ill sit up a little tree, and a few little things, but only because family enjoys it.
