Some people don't like other people's right to protest. The SCC will find the law unconstitutional and strike it down. It red meat for Kenney's base. It is simple PR and nothing more.

Do you remember when paid protesters shut down Canada before the the pandemic by blocking rail lines. That isn't going to happen in Alberta. If we had a leader in Ottawa, it would be illegal everywhere in the country for people to shut down critical infrastructure. Surely, you do support what the government of Alberta is doing.
Good stuff!!! (might be over promoted)
No permit - no block the general (innocent) population
Why should anyone be allowed to block innocent people going to and from work or going anywhere for that matter ... the very people who paid for the property can't use it? .. Uh Uh. That's ethically wrong
Why should anyone be allowed to harm property, no matter who is the owner?
Vancouver, that meme you posted is pure bullshit from scumbag lawyers. That law is to prevent illegal blockades. The next time a bunch of entitled assholes with a cause decides to shut down roads and bridges in your city and you can't get anywhere, you will be wishing Horgan would grow a pair and enact similar legislation.
Just because somebody has a cause doesn't mean they have the right to block other people from using roads, bridges, rail lines and rapid transit that the public relies on.

By all means protest. Just keep it off property others paid for, own and thus have the right to use it as needed
Parks with permit? Maybe, short term . .. Keep the fuck off "our" roads and sidewalks
You have the right to protest but you have no right to block people from using public places.
You are stepping on other peoples rights when you block the highway or prevent people from entering a building.
If you block me and bang on the hood of my car, that aint gonna make me sympathetic to your cause..
It will make me very angry.

No, just keep them the fuck off public property
No one has an ethical right to block the public
Does Vancouver actually think any small group of people should be able to take over public property and prevent the people who pay for it from using it. Does he also think that same small group of people should be able to squat at his house while he is at work and prevent him from living in the property he pays for.

I don't remember thinking that. My new fancy washer and dryer is all I could think about. Delivery could be next Monday! Anyways, I drive around quite a bit. Your so called "activists" shouldn't block me. Go protest at a corn field. When I retire I move into the suburb.

It is all about priorities brother. And it seems like you got yours in order.
I don't know why anybody would want to live in a city full of crazed selfish activists preventing you from going where you need to be. But, I am a farm boy. Kindersley, Saskatchewan is too busy for me.
Not many folks here understand the law. Overturned within a year.

Whatever you say Mel.
I have no problem with people protesting, but once they start blocking streets, ports, etc.. shoot em...I have a right to drive to work and get supplies I need to support myself and my family...you wanna block my way? Then you pay for what I need that day.

They think their causes are more important than ambulances transporting sick people to hospitals.
