Title: I don't think the future is so bright...
Post by: Anonymous on July 05, 2020, 05:22:30 AM
As I get older, I often think it may be important to upgrade my skill set.  The only marketable skill I have, is that I can legally drive any and all types of motor vehicles, and have experience in doing so.  While this isn't a bad thing (a driver can always find work doing something, somewhere:  For instance, there is only one (1) job opening at Suncor Ft. Mac, and that's for an industrial rock truck driver), but it is limiting...

These days, virtually anything requires a massive amount of schooling, often unrelated to the field:  Park Ranger even, requires schooling, rather than on the job training.

So tonight I look into Real Estate Appraisal.  My High School Diploma isn't good enough to begin training...  I need two fucking years of UNRELATED post secondary education, before I can pay for schooling to learn this, which in itself is hundreds of hours and years of working under somebody else's guidance.

All Trades are a four year thing, full time.

It seems to me, that there are few opportunities to achieve any sort of recognized training in anything, without years in school.  And why would two years of unrelated post secondary education even be a prerequisite?  Why not just learn what's involved with the fucking job?

I don't know why modern society must complicate things, other than to make schools rich, and ensure one amasses a huge student load debt...

I don't think a Park Ranger in the 1950's needed specialized training in a school.  I doubt the vast majority of anyone that did most of the heavy lifting needed years of schooling a few decades ago...  University was for people like Doctors, Scientists, etc.  Not the grunt on the ground!  The grunt on the ground was taught how to do his job by the boss or foreman.  Now they want four years of schooling so that same boss or foreman can tell you how to do that job.

Look how fast the World rebuilt and advanced after WWII...  The advances were truly astonishing.  I doubt most of the men involved had more than a high school education...  Maybe not even that?

Now you need a three month fucking course to be qualified to tie a fucking garbage bag closed, pull it out of the steel bin, and reline said bin with a new garbage bag.  What the fuck!

I honestly think self employed is the only way to go for people like me...  Property maintenance, shit like that...  I already have the truck and all the equipment needed, since I need it for my yard!

I did pretty good with only a high school education. But, upstream oil and gas is one the last industries a person can do that. I took a shitload of courses along the way.

Lot's of Mel hate here, to posters I've done nothing to!

I expect this, and I actually study this behaviour...  It interests me.  I've been permabanned from Memebee for many years (other than the few brief periods I managed to sneak in via proxy), and I'm still mentioned there by some posters.

To me, what people post...  Actually no.  How people post, and what they focus on, is interesting to me!

It provides me with a window to see just how fucked up most people, and their lives, are.  You can try to hide it, but after time you can't help it...  It will come out.

And Mel has a fairly good ability to judge this, since none of you are my "E-Friends"...  I can step back, and view who does what without bias.  That alone is scary to some, apparently.

My motives aren't diabolical.  I'm simply a straight White male than leans to the right of center!  As a straight White male, I expect this kind of behaviour from forums, truth be told!

Chinks running the place, you have Whites married to Chinks, you have Kikes that think they run the show, fat recently divorced feminists, welfare momma's, druggies...  Basically every entity that hates the straight White male, and what we stand for.

I understand that you're not attacking me, but instead attacking the system that you think I'm responsible for.

As a straight White man, contrary to popular belief, I cannot help you with your problems.

So keep on attacking me, but know that there is nothing I can do to help you.

I would have thought that Mel would be able to collect something out of the government's cripple fund for his affliction.

I'm a public sector union employee..

If someone volunteers they have a drug or alcohol addiction, they are referred to an addictions specialist to determine if they need a residency program..

If they do, they go to a four to six week residency program while receiving sick benefits(about sixty per cent of wages)..

At the end they are reviewed again by an addictions specialist to determine if they can return to work(they usually are)..

The employee is subject to random testing(for safety sensitive jobs) and if they test positive, they can be terminated.

I know of no public disability monies for alcoholism or drug addiction.

The waiting lists got a whole lot longer when we cancelled surgeries and procedures and prioritized people coming in with a dry cough.

Oh well, Mel will have to get a job.... I was just trying to be helpful...:laugh3:

I'm afraid poor Mel will have to buy his own beer when CERB ends around Labour Day.

That should be no problem....He's a millionaire remember....Us little people aren't even in his league. :laugh3:

Mel bought beer before pandemic money.

I'm sure he'll buy beer when the pandemic money runs out.

Yeah, but I just worry that he won't have enough money to buy himself a new liver when the time comes.

I know you guys have socialized "free" healthcare and all but I hear the waiting lists are really long...

The waiting lists got a whole lot longer when we cancelled surgeries and procedures and prioritized people coming in with a dry cough.

Wow, we did the same thing.

Every covid death is a cha-ching for federal dollars.

I am looking forward to my future. Retire in three years and eight months. Than I am out of Canada for good.

Enjoy your time in Yemen. Experience the wonderment.

That's not where IHJ is going Mel, you know that.

I am not Mel, you know that!

You know where IHJ is retiring Mel.

In this coronavirus, I don't know. People are dying in every province in Canada as hospitals only do the most urgent surgeries. I know a retired locomotive engineer who died of a heart attack because they postponed angioplasty surgery.

Sounds Iike it might be an antibiotic resistant form of staff and if it is, it is nothing to fool around with. Severe cases can cause hospitalization. I don't want to alarm you but you should probably get it looked at asap.

I've been to my doctor twice about it..

One time they lanced it and some pus came out, but it's thick and only a lit bit came out..

It's smaller now, but it won't completely go away..

My best hope is that I get a cancellation and I can see a dermatologist.

More than likely it's just a cyst.  Quite common actually.  Not uncommon on earlobes and around the ear, but can appear all over the body.  Antibiotics will do no good, as it's not an infection.

The solution?  You simply just keep getting it lanced and drained by Doctors, or you do what I did with the cyst on my earlobe:  You hack into it with sharp objects like a scalpel, whatever you have...  And you squeeze the FUCK out of it!  It will be painful, but treat it like a zit...  Take no prisoners, and SLICE into that fucker.  Blood and puss will come out.  SQUEEZE it all out, every time!  Squeeze the fuck out of it for a few days/weeks, and you may be golden...

I dealt with an earlobe cyst this way about 10 years ago that was hassling me, and it didn't have the balls to come back!

Alternatively, you could leave it there for Semenjaw to chew on after he's finished licking the sweat off your back. Think of it like it's his dessert.

If your primary doctor has diagnosed it as an infection, then that's probably what it is. He or she is infinitely more qualified to make that call than Dr. Melonhead.

If your primary doctor has diagnosed it as an infection, then that's probably what it is. He or she is infinitely more qualified to make that call than Dr. Melonhead.

Just a little.

Well then, you'd better hope they can find a cure before amputation is required, and you're left with nothing but a little stumpy shoulder...

She tried to squeeze a zit..

Rubbing alcohol and band aid will cure it.
