No two people bear are more responsible for the spread of COVID across the US than Adrew Cuomo and Bill DeBlasio. Along with other governors, Cuomo has a lot of blood on his hands.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) said Wednesday it is requesting data from the Democratic governors of Pennsylvania, Michigan, New York, and New Jersey on COVID-19-related orders that may have resulted in the deaths of thousands elderly nursing home residents.
Letters were sent to Govs. Andrew Cuomo of New York, Phil Murphy of New Jersey, Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania, and Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan. Cuomo, namely, has come under fire from Republicans over how his state handled nursing homes in the midst of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic.
More than 32,000 people have died from the virus in New York, 15,000 have died in New Jersey, 7,600 in Pennsylvania, and 6,600 in Michigan. New York and New Jersey, respectively, have the highest and second-highest number of virus deaths in the United States, according to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data.

You are very welcome. I thought you would find it of interest and useful as a no BS source in all areas and especially in the "don't say nuthin / don't mention the elephant in the room" China area

Not carrying a brief for Cuomo or any other governor in particular, and not very impressed by your choice of the Epoch Times, but the whole DOJ involvement is quite consistent with Trump's continuing Spite War against Dem governors in which the GOP Senate permits him to weaponize and politicize the DOJ under his weasel flack AG while continuing to mishandle the pandemic at the federal level, most deplorably.

Holding scumbag governors accountable for their insane decisions which lead to the deaths of thousands of people is a "war". It's called justice which is supposed to be the business the DOJ is in.

Regardless of your obvious politics the decision to send infected elderly nursing home patients back to the old folks home while the temporary hospital at the Javits Center and the Navy hospital ship sent by Trump, went unused, was a criminal decision of epic proportions. This is especially concerning since the dems were the ones screaming about how deadly the virus was. What did those two democrap scumbags THINK was going to happen? I know that today's liberal, on average, is about as smart as fucking doorknob but I guess when you take office as a democrap..common sense...and everyday common knowledge regarding the spread of disease gets left at the curb.
To add insult to injury, these same democrap shitheads put restrictions on visitation of the dying. Family members weren't even allowed to visit and comfort their dying parents and Grandparents. IMHO, a public execution of both Mayor DeBlasio (or whatever he calls himself) and Governor Cuomo is too good for those two rat fucks. So if you think holding them accountable for the decisions they made is nothing but spite on Trump's part then I strongly suggest you check with the families of the dead and see how they feel about it.

Calm the fuck down, I'm not a constituent of either of the pols being bashed in the OP and feel no inclination to defend them.  I didn't vote for them, I don't live in their state, etc.  And spare me the bullshit about "my obvious politics" since everyone else's politics are pretty obvious in this conversation and I'm unimpressed by your attempt at value signaling EVEN THOUGH YOU aren't a constituent of theirs either.  I'm not holding you responsible, the guilty party would be Bigly Smellz and he has subsequently done HIS value signaling by moving to Floriduh where he can rot as far as I'm concerned.

Get back in yer tent, ya fukin old rummy.  If your politics were a little better bolted together you'd know that it ain't the prez's job to declare war on governors because of their party affiliation.

It's anyone's and everyone's  concern when people needlessly kill people. Geography is not the issue. People and lives are.
Deliberately shipping spreaders (and those needing higher level of care) into Care Homes when they absolutely did not have to was as evil as evil gets and as stupid as stupid gets
For example, NYC had literally 1000s of temporary fully prepared, staffed with the very best professional staff  to use .. and deliberately chose not to ... maybe because it was  T who put them there, ya think???

Peaches need not worry. Biden won't give tough interviews, he is trying to get out of debates, and if he loses the electoral college, he will not concede. And he definitely not hold democRAT governors acccountable for minor things like thousands of counts of manslaughter.

Governors Cuomo and Whitmer would be incarcerated if they did what they did in Israel.

The self-proclaimed immaculate intentions of demcRAT politicians absolved them for any harm they inflicted. Cuomo callously compelled nursing homes to accept COVID-19 patients, a policy that contributed to more than 10,000 nursing home deaths in his state. Pennsylvania Health Czar Rachel Levine issued a similar order, contributing to thousands of nursing home deaths, and then removed her own 95-year-old mother from a nursing home to keep her safe. According to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, Democratic governors in Michigan, California, and New Jersey imposed similar policies to compel nursing homes to admit COVID-19 patients. Nationwide, nursing home residents account for almost half of COVID-19 fatalities.

As it has already been pointed out, it is not about constituency. It's about the unnecessary deaths of thousands and the phycological cruelty inflected upon the victims families...But if making it into a Trump vs Democraps thing gives you ability to turn a blind eye to this avoidable tragedy then so be it. That's your failing.
Just so you know, I am a constituent of one of the governors (dimwitted Murphy, NJ.) being looked at. He made similar questionable calls where it came to dealing with COVID patients and long term nursing care. So I guess using your argument, that gives me some latitude in criticizing these demorat scumbags even if most rational people would say that reasoning is irrelevant.
BTW, I quite agree that politics of late is a name calling fest...But in this case the underlying reasons for the name calling is the avoidable deaths of thousands. Just thought I would fling that out there again in the odd chance that it hits you and sticks.

In Canada, governors Cuomo, Whitmer, Murphy et al would be charged with multiple counts of criminal negligence causing death.

Sorry, but the constituency thing is very real unless you don't think there is any bullshit around, like say a constitution.  I can hate on (for instance) a Tom Cotton or a Moscow Mitch, but since I have no say at all in whether they get installed into the offices they hold I'M JUST VALUE SIGNALING, and that's an even bigger waste of time on an anonymous forum than it is in real life.  I agree that unnecessary deaths are horrible, but the deaths have marched on regardless of political affiliation of the various governors and will continue to do so.

In Canada, governors Cuomo, Whitmer, Murphy et al would be charged with multiple counts of criminal negligence causing death.
That's nice, but the only real correction the US has for executive negligence is impeachment or recall, we can't put a sitting executive up on criminal charges until he's been removed from (or left) office.  And I wasn't aware that Canadians could walk into the governor's office with handcuffs, either, and cart the gov off to jail.  Please give me a constitutional cite on that, it should make some interesting reading.

Fash  was simply making the point that what they did is horrible  .. beyond believe .. inhuman etc etc

It's anyone's and everyone's  concern when people needlessly kill people. Geography is not the issue. People and lives are.
Deliberately shipping spreaders (and those needing higher level of care) into Care Homes when they absolutely did not have to was as evil as evil gets and as stupid as stupid gets
It was a senseless tragedy.

I must be honest. It was deliberate.
They ordered sick people sent to care homes & they ordered the homes to take them in .. knowing by then how this beast spreads
If that isn't murder, I don't know what is
Yes, at that moment their own  hospitals were full
There were lots of alternates .. aw, but T supplied the alternatives (ship, tents, auditorium staffed by Federal medical  experts .. the best of the best)
They did it because of T. They could not bring themselves to use what he supplied
This is TDS with consequences for 1000s who they killed ..  it was deliberate murder for the cause

				It was deliberate and senseless.

Never going to happen...There is no death penalty in most democrat controlled states including NY and NJ.
Besides, you we will never see anything come of this. Each one of these vile pieces of human filth will go on to have long careers in the democrap party...Expect to see both Andrew Cuomo and Bill di Blasio (or Warren Wilhelm Jr. or whatever that marxist slob calls himself in the future), in the next crop of democrap shit bags vying for the presidential nomination in 2024. If that doesn't work out...surely a senate seat awaits one of them. Schmuck Schumer can't live forever. He's no Ruth Bader Ginsburg... :laugh3:

'The Gov Killed Nana': Aerial Banner Slamming Andrew Cuomo Flies Over New York Beaches

An aerial banner attacking Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo flew over several of the state's most popular beaches Labor Day weekend.
The banner, towed behind a small plane like a typical shoreline advertisement, read "THE GOV KILLED NANA."
The banner was spotted over several local hotspots Saturday and appeared to be a reference to Cuomo's March order forcing nursing homes to accept COVID-positive or suspected patients — an order that many believe was at least partially responsible for the high number of coronavirus-related deaths in New York nursing homes.
One person who was at Rockaway Beach when the plane passed overhead reportedly told the New York Post that beachgoers had applauded the sign, adding, "The people were going crazy. [Cuomo] is nothing but a liar, condescending and miserable person. His carelessness caused the death of a lot of people unnecessarily."

Kansas, whose governor signed the letter to the federal government, ranks 48th in terms of percentage of vaccine doses put in arms.

Cuomo has faced criticism over strict guidelines that limit rollout of the vaccine. New York City mayor Bill de Blasio said that state officials have blocked him from giving the vaccine to first responders or people over 75.

'Heartless monster' NY Gov. Cuomo torn to shreds by Meghan McCain, Megyn Kelly for insult to Fox News' Janice Dean

Nearly 50,000 people signed a petition against Cuomo attending any Buffalo Bills' home playoff games after his COVID-19 restrictions prevented fans from attending any contests during the regular season.
His rigid COVID-19 vaccine rollout resulted in 66% unused and expired doses thrown out.
Then in a stunning statement after months of strict lockdown policies, Cuomo earlier this week tweeted that "we simply cannot stay closed until the vaccine hits critical mass. The cost is too high. We will have nothing left to open." (Indeed, it seems to be trend among left-wing office holders.)
What now?
But now Cuomo may have outdone himself.
You might recall that Fox News senior meteorologist Janice Dean has been a vocal critic of Cuomo's handling of New York nursing homes amid the coronavirus — particularly as she lost both of her in-laws to COVID-19 in 2020.
Earlier this week, Dean ripped Cuomo's botched coronavirus vaccine rollout, calling it a "disaster ... it is just another leadership failure from this governor," Fox News reported.
"I have been covering him for about 10 months, and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that he is interested in being a celebrity instead of being a governor," she added, according to the cable network.
Then what?
Fox News contributor Guy Benson had the following to say in response: ' Wow, what an a**hole."
Then Meghan McCain and Megyn Kelly joined in to defend Dean:
"After @Janicedean lost BOTH her in-laws this year in NY nursing homes, instead of mourning with her and listening to her, Cuomo smears her," McCain — who co-hosts "The View" — tweeted. "There is blood on your hands Cuomo, and we all know it. You disgust me, you absolute heartless monster."
"@JaniceDean *is* an expert on how Cuomo's orders killed 6k+ ppl, including her in-laws," Kelly wrote. "She had to become one. B/c the media didn't give a damn. And when she spoke up, the media mocked her for going beyond weather — just like Cuomo did here. And all of those ppl can F right off."
Dean, as you might expect, was happy with the support from McCain and Kelly:

McCain added an insurance policy, later telling Dean: "I would wrestle an ox with my bare hands for you my sister. No one is going to let off what Cuomo has done to your family and so many others."

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Once the darling of Dem deniers, they are no longer defending his inept coronavirus leadership,
More bad press for Cuomo
New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo continues to be caught up in controversy over his failed leadership during the coronavirus pandemic, and now, left-wing media publications are finally starting to take notice.
What are the details?
The New York Times, though usually congratulatory toward Cuomo, published a blistering report Monday suggesting the governor had "all but declared war" on public health experts in his state, leading nine of them to quit their posts since the start of the pandemic.
The tipping point for many experts appears to have been the governor's autocratic takeover of the vaccine rollout, though it's hard to imagine that his obfuscating over a deadly nursing home policy that sowed public distrust in the health department hasn't also played a part. The report goes as follows:
Even as the pandemic continues to rage and New York struggles to vaccinate a large and anxious population, Mr. Cuomo has all but declared war on his own public health bureaucracy. The departures have underscored the extent to which pandemic policy has been set by the governor, who with his aides crafted a vaccination program beset by early delays.
The troubled rollout came after Mr. Cuomo declined to use the longstanding vaccination plans that the State Department of Health had developed in recent years in coordination with local health departments. Mr. Cuomo instead adopted an approach that relied on large hospital systems to coordinate vaccinations not only of their own staffs, but also of much of the population.
In recent weeks, the governor has repeatedly made it clear that he believed he had no choice but to seize more control over pandemic policy from state and local public health officials, who he said had no understanding of how to conduct a real-world, large-scale operation like vaccinations. After early problems, in which relatively few doses were being administered, the pace of vaccinations has picked up and New York is now roughly 20th in the nation in percentage of residents who have received at least one vaccine dose.
"When I say 'experts' in air quotes, it sounds like I'm saying I don't really trust the experts," Mr. Cuomo said at a news conference on Friday, referring to scientific expertise at all levels of government during the pandemic. "Because I don't. Because I don't."

Governor Cuomo's top aide privately apologized to Democratic lawmakers for withholding the state's nursing-home death toll from COVID-19 — telling them "we froze" out of fear the true numbers would "be used against us" by federal prosecutors, The Post has learned.
The stunning admission of a cover-up was made by Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa during a video conference call with state Democratic leaders in which she said the Cuomo administration had rebuffed a legislative request for the tally in August because "right around the same time, [then-President Donald Trump] turns this into a giant political football," according to an audio recording of the two-hour-plus meeting.

Liberal WaPo knocks CNN over Cuomo brothers' interviews:
CNN admitted to the Washington Post Tuesday that it made an "exception" to its rule against primetime host Chris Cuomo interviewing his older brother Andrew, the governor of New York, due to the "extraordinary" early months of the coronavirus pandemic.
"The early months of the pandemic crisis were an extraordinary time," a network spokesperson told media columnnist Erik Wemple. "We felt that Chris speaking with his brother about the challenges of what millions of American families were struggling with was of significant human interest. As a result, we made an exception to a rule that we have had in place since 2013 which prevents Chris from interviewing and covering his brother, and that rule remains in place today. CNN has covered the news surrounding Governor Cuomo extensively."
Wemple, who focuses on cable news, criticized the statement as
"You can't nullify a rule when your star anchor's brother is flying high, only to invoke it during times of scandal. You just can't," Wemple wrote.

Republican members of the New York State Assembly announced Thursday that they plan to introduce a resolution next week to form an impeachment commission tasked with investigating Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Republican Minority Leader Will Barclay stated that the commission will "gather facts and evidence" regarding Cuomo's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and alleged underreporting of nursing home deaths, according to Fox News.
This move comes after Democratic Assemblyman Ron T. Kim accused Cuomo of threatening to "destroy him" for speaking out about Cuomo's alleged coverup over a private phone call earlier this week.

Anyone following the growing nursing home COVID death scandal swirling around New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo has likely heard about the governor's reported habit of threatening people who cross him.
Now one New York journalist has gone on the record accusing Cuomo's office of bullying him during his time as editor of a magazine covering New York politics and saying that this is a pattern of behavior for the executive.
In a new op-ed for the New York Post titled "Cuomo's office terrorized me for doing my job as a journalist," former City & State editor-in-chief Morgan Pehme recounted an incident he claims took place in April 2014 when his magazine was prepared to run a story that the governor didn't like.
Pehme began his tale of Cuomo woe:
It was 4:30 a.m., so I pulled the bathroom door shut in my one-bedroom Brooklyn apartment to answer the phone without waking my then-5-year-old. On the line was Melissa DeRosa, Gov. Cuomo's then-communications director, now his second-in-command. She was threatening to destroy me.
By now, thanks to Queens Assemblyman Ron Kim blowing the whistle on the threats he received in a call from Cuomo, the public has a glimpse of the bullying practiced by the governor and his top brass.
Many Americans are shocked, having bought into the compassionate persona Cuomo conveyed in his pandemic briefings. But Kim's revelations came as no surprise to anyone who has dealt with the governor. As one Albany insider texted me last week, "everyone has an Andrew Cuomo story."
The onetime editor said his publication was going to expose Cuomo's efforts to distort a report on public corruption — a report for which Pehme's magazine got pushback from Cuomo's office the minute the outlet began digging.
Though he cannot quote exactly what the governor's office threatened him with, Pehme said he knows that a promise to "destroy" his career and get revenge was included in the threats.
And the fear he experienced was warranted, he added, considering Cuomo's "track record of vindictiveness":
I had no reason to think these were idle threats. I was fully aware of the governor's volcanic temper and track record of vindictiveness. If he wanted to crush me, he could and likely would.
This was a serious gut check for me. I worried about losing my livelihood, damaging my future, letting down my wife and daughter. But fortunately, I had bosses and colleagues who stood by the quality of our work. So we published the piece, like the press is supposed to do in the face of intimidation.
According to Pehme, "abusive calls" from the governor's office or the governor himself are regular fare for the Albany press corps:
[T]he abuse he privately metes out amounts to a systematic campaign to chill negative coverage of his administration. And it works.
Editors kill legitimate stories because of his threats; reporters shy away from promising tips; sources stay silent.
There are many reasons the media don't expose the governor's bullying. Albany reporters fear that if the governor freezes them out, they won't be able to do their jobs effectively. Some journalists see speaking up as a violation of the unwritten code of "off-the-record" conversations. Others just assume that "everyone knows" how Cuomo operates, so it isn't worth reporting.
Pehme closed his piece urging journalists to do their jobs and report the truth about Cuomo — just as they did when the #MeToo movement uncovered abusive "monsters" in the entertainment industry.
"Journalists are agents of accountability," he wrote. "It's time for New York's reporters to step up and tell their own Cuomo stories."

A former aide to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo who previously accused him of sexual harassment has come forward with details of the harassment she allegedly experienced.
Lindsey Boylan, formerly the deputy secretary for economic development and special adviser in the Cuomo administration from March 2015 to October 2018, accused Gov. Cuomo of sexual harassment and bullying in a written post published on Medium Wednesday.

Ya, some ugly stuff  .. pointed to cigar box and giggled (then Clinton would be a hero of his) .. "Let's play strip poker" .. "kissed her "on the lips" without warning inside his Manhattan office." ... and a lot more
If it's true, there will be others and they  will pile on now

				Cuomo has become liability.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki dodged questions Thursday about the new sexual harassment allegations raised against Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the same day Cuomo is set to take part in a meeting with President Joe Biden and the remainder of the nation's governors.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis touted his state's response to the COVID-19 pandemic after he did not issue sweeping lockdowns during the first day of the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
"Florida got right. The lockdown states got it wrong," DeSantis, a Republican, said at the Florida-based event on Friday morning, kicking off the three-day event that is slated to end Sunday.
Since the start of the pandemic last year, Florida did not issue economic lockdowns and did not place strict gathering limits—in contrast to states such as California, Michigan, or Pennsylvania. As a result, Florida has seen an influx of new residents who ostensibly are fleeing their home states due to the lockdown orders.
While DeSantis has been skewered by mainstream news outlets and some Democratic elected officials, both California and Florida have similar per capita rates of COVID-19 cases. California—which has implemented numerous lockdowns since last summer—has about 8,900 cases per 100,000 people while Florida has 8,700 per 100,000 people. California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, has triggered significant at-home backlash over the state's lockdown rules and school closures, with a recall petition that is circulating around the Golden State nearing the threshold.

New York Attorney General Letitia James announced Monday that she has received the letter she needs to launch an independent investigation into claims of sexual harassment against Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The letter also directs all New York state employees to cooperate fully with the review and notes that Cuomo will forgo weekly updates on the investigation, to which he would otherwise be entitled.

Anna Ruch said she felt "uncomfortable and embarrassed" when Mr. Cuomo placed his hands on her face and asked to kiss her.
The governor was working the room after toasting the newlyweds, and when he came upon Ms. Ruch, now 33, she thanked him for his kind words about her friends.
But what happened next instantly unsettled her: Mr. Cuomo
When she removed his hand with her own, Ms. Ruch recalled, the governor remarked that
Ms. Ruch was bewildered by the entreaty, she said, and pulled away as the governor drew closer.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo refuses to resign. But a damning new report is going to put more pressure on New York legislators to do something about the governor or risk looking complicit in a major scandal that is now being raised to the next level.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that not only did the Cuomo administration hide data about a deadly March 2020 decree that sent COVID-positive nursing home residents back to long-term facilities, despite the known risks,
It's pointing to eventual criminal charges against the governor of New York.
It is very much so. He had put out numbers as around 6,000 when they found numbers are actually around 15,000
Falsifying  numbers is a bit more difficult to prosecute - "Deleting data" forces prosecution

The editorial board of the Albany Times-Union, which has endorsed Andrew Cuomo for governor three times, called on the New York Democrat to resign from office Saturday for his misleading statements about coronavirus-related nursing home deaths.
"First Gov. Andrew Cuomo hid the truth about deaths of nursing home residents from the public. Then his administration lied about why. Then, pretending to come clean, it lied about why it lied," the editorial board wrote in a scathing takedown.

How did he find time to cause so many deaths in long term care facilities.

Easy peasy - 1 single order to send hospitalized covid patients back to care homes while still infected .. unimaginable, but true
At least 4 other Dem governors did the same  .. . Since, his state got caught trying  to hide the numbers .. no doubt in an effort to protect him from what he had done

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) is facing increased scrutiny over a policy that may have contributed to increased nursing home deaths related to the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, a Michigan prosecutor says that Whitmer could face criminal charges.
Whitmer issued an executive order last year that prohibited nursing homes and other long-term care facilities from turning away residents who tested positive for COVID-19 regardless of whether they were contagious.

For much of 2020, Andrew Cuomo was lauded as America's favorite politician, praised for steering New York through the COVID-19 pandemic and dubbed the "Love Gov" for his seemingly universal appeal by a CNN host who happened to be his brother.
Now, the Democratic governor of New York faces federal investigations, a potential impeachment and bipartisan calls for his resignation due to his coverup of nursing home deaths and sexual misconduct accusations from at least six women.

The letter attempted to link her to supporters of former President Trump
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was reportedly involved in the writing of a letter his inner circle passed around to former staffers aimed at tarnishing Lindsey Boylan's credibility after she accused the governor of sexual harassment and repeated unwanted advances, according to a new report.
The letter, according to the New York Times, suggested that Boylan's accusations were "premeditated" and "politically motivated." It reportedly revealed personnel complaints filed against her and attempted to link her to supporters of former President Donald Trump.
The initial idea, three sources told the Times, was to have former Cuomo aides, particularly women, sign the letter before releasing it more publicly. One of those sources said Cuomo was directly involved with the letter itself.
Current aides emailed a draft of the letter to former advisers, before it was circulated more widely to current and former top aides of the governor. The letter was never publicly released.
Boylan's attorney, Jill Basinger, accused Cuomo of using "malicious" tactics against her client.
"Once again, a victim of sexual harassment who has the courage to tell her story is put in the position of not only having to relive the trauma of a toxic work environment but defend herself against the malicious leaking of supposed personnel files, character assassinations and a whisper campaign of retaliation," Basinger told the Times. "This page needs to be ripped out of the governor's harassment handbook."

Is Gov. Andrew Cuomo Just Going To Northam His Way Through This Impeachment Crisis?
https://dailycaller.com/2021/03/26/andrew-cuomo-scandal-nursing-home-sexual-misconduct-new-york-impeachment/?utm_source=piano&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2360&pnespid=2Og8tqQDCgONfDsu8m4.IxZn6pcAqzb5vdXepgUD
Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo might just survive the ongoing impeachment effort against him as pressure for his resignation continues, much like Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam survived a scandal relating to an old yearbook photo showing an image of two men, one in blackface and one in KKK robes.
Cuomo, once the corporate media and Democratic party's poster child for pandemic leadership, has found himself embattled in two major scandals. The first being how Cuomo's administration allegedly covered up COVID-19 nursing home deaths stemming from an order that required nursing homes to accept recovering COVID-19 patients. The other is that eight women have accused the New York governor of sexual misconduct.
Cuomo ordered nursing homes and other care facilities readmit individuals who were recovering from COVID-19 March 25, 2020. Cuomo would eventually rescind the order, but over that time period, more than 9,000 COVID-19 positive patients were put back into nursing homes, a Feb. 11 report from the Associated Press discovered.
The Daily Caller News Foundation reported that Cuomo's government was omitting an unknown number of nursing home residents who died in the hospital from COVID-19 from their total COVID-19 nursing home death count on May 15, 2020. The report was published just days after the New York governor rescinded his order May 10, 2020.
Cuomo's administration admitted in January that nearly 13,000 nursing home residents had died from COVID-19, a figure that was 50% higher than previously reported by the New York government, according to the Associated Press. Further reporting from the New York Post revealed that Melissa DeRosa, Cuomo's secretary to the governor, told the state's Democratic leaders that the administration withheld nursing home data out of fear it would "be used against us" by President Donald Trump's administration.
This series of bombshell reports caused a number of New York Republicans and Democrats to take action against Cuomo. New York Democratic leaders introduced a resolution Feb. 22 to censure Cuomo.
The call to impeach Cuomo or pressure him into resigning has gained momentum across New York's bicameral legislature. At least 59 Democrats have called on Cuomo to resign. If the 40 lawmakers in the New York Assembly joined with the 31 Republican assembly members who have called for Cuomo's impeachment, the House would be just five votes short of the 76 votes required to impeach Cuomo. If Cuomo were to be impeached, he would lose his powers until acquitted, and Lieutenant Gov. Kathy Hochul would become acting governor.
However, some of these members believe that New York's Democratic leadership is trying to appear as if they are taking these scandals seriously by investigating the issues in the Assembly's Judiciary Committee, but in reality they're buying Cuomo much needed time. "The idea of a committee feels like we're just kicking a can, to be quite honest," Assemblywoman Jessica González-Rojas said on a March 11 call with various New York Democratic legislators, Yahoo News reported. "I don't think the Judiciary Committee goes far enough, and I do worry we're just buying time," she added. However, Democratic Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie defended his decision, saying, "I try to come up with something that's best for the body. Everybody might not love it, everybody may not like it, but I try to get us to a comfortable place that protects the integrity of this house," according to Yahoo News.
Northam survived his blackface scandal, and just recently singed into law a bill that ends the death penalty in Virginia, drawing a positive response from several left-wing figures

Another woman has accused New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo of "unwanted, unwelcome physical contact," the latest in a series of allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct levied against the governor.
The woman, Sherry Vill, said during a press conference on Monday afternoon that the governor "suddenly grabbed her face and kissed her" in 2017 outside of her home in the town of Greece, which borders Lake Ontario. Cuomo was visiting the area to survey flood damage in the wake of a storm.
She said that Cuomo commented on her appearance and kissed her two times with other family members present, advances that she alternately described as being in a "highly sexual" and "highly aggressive" manner.
"I felt shocked and did not know what happened," said Vill.
She said she was later invited to an event in town with the governor and was sent pictures and letters by his office — a gesture she found unsettling. "The whole thing made me feel nervous," Vill said.

CNN goes full week without mentioning latest in governor's many scandals ..  skips 9th accuser, 'VIP' COVID testing, book controversy
CNN's unprecedented blackout of the growing scandals plaguing Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo continued throughout this week, despite the emergency of three separate controversies.
The governor's woes escalated on Monday after a ninth accuser came forward with a sexual misconduct allegation.
Sherry Vill, 55, alleged that Cuomo grabbed her face and kissed her cheeks in front of her home in 2017.
Also on Monday, The Washington Post ran a damning report on the "behind-the-scenes" operation of Cuomo's prioritized COVID testing, of which his younger brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo was a beneficiary in the early months of the pandemic as ordinary New Yorkers struggled to find tests for themselves.
The Post reported that Dr. Eleanor Adams, a top New York physician who was tasked by the Cuomo administration to coordinate COVID testing in nursing homes, was "dispatched multiple times" to Chris Cuomo's home in the Hamptons, where visits "sometimes stretched hours."

The governor is corrupt and CNN enables him.

Cuomo's 'American Crisis' Book Now At The Center Of Federal Probe
https://dailycaller.com/2021/06/07/andrew-cuomo-book-federal-prosecutors-american-crisis/?utm_source=piano&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2360&tpcc%3D=newsletter&pnespid=krU3t_BDWw6NqmYFJiulV62mK6MYOEve6630MJ_l
Federal prosecutors subpoenaed materials related to the production of Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's book "American Crisis" last month, according to a Monday report from the Wall Street Journal.
Prosecutors assigned to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York subpoenaed emails and pitch materials related to Cuomo's book as part of their ongoing probe into Cuomo's March 2020 executive order directing nursing homes to accept patients infected with COVID-19 into their facilities, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Cuomo's administration later pressured New York State Health Department officials to underreport the actual number of nursing home residents that died from COVID-19 in a July 2020 report.
Cuomo signed a $5.1 million dollar book deal with Penguin Random House in October 2020 for the manuscript of his book concept "American Crisis: Lessons From The COVID-19 Pandemic."
Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa allegedly admitted in February that the state deliberately withheld data on COVID-19 deaths from the public to avoid being investigated by former President Donald Trump's Department of Justice (DOJ) during a conference call with state Democrats.
Michael Weinstein, a former federal prosecutor, claimed the subpoenaed materials could potentially be damning for Cuomo if they contain information inconsistent with public statements made by Cuomo.
"If reflections memorialized in records and notes are inconsistent with what he was saying publicly or with disclosures to health or government officials, that is potentially problematic," Weinstein said in a statement to the Wall Street Journal.
"The Governor elected to withhold COVID-19 nursing home mortality information from the Legislature and the public, and by doing so he painted an inaccurate but flattering narrative regarding his pandemic response," Republican Assemblyman Kevin Byrne, who has introduced legislation with Republican State Sen. George Borrello to ban sitting elected state officials from profiting off of book sales, told the Daily Caller.
"That he had the gall to use his newfound fame from that false narrative to profit from a $5 million+ self serving book deal during the pandemic is incredibly insulting. We know it's wrong, and I'm glad federal authorities are looking into it. They can not move fast enough. We need to pass legislation to prevent sitting state officials from profiting off of book sales immediately," Byrne said.
Federal prosecutors are currently investigating Cuomo for potentially violating the False Claims Act as well as his alleged decision to grant  his family priority in obtaining COVID-19 tests and his role in drafting a controversial law that gave legal immunity to nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Democratic New York State Attorney General Leticia James is leading the investigation into multiple sexual harassment allegations against Cuomo by former staffers, which Cuomo continues to deny.

Michigan's Senate on Thursday approved a petition that repeals Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's emergency powers, with another approval expected by the state's lower chamber.
Whitmer, a Democrat, cannot veto the petition.
The petition took aim at the 1945 Emergency Powers Act that enabled Whitmer to impose harsh restrictions on state residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Republicans on the Senate floor before the vote praised the petition and said it was needed to curb Whitmer's power.

New York Attorney General Letitia James and the team of attorneys selected to investigate allegations of sexual harassment made against Gov. Andrew Cuomo have completed their investigation and released a public report of their findings.
The attorney general's report, which is being made available to the public for the first time, found that the harassment claimed by a number of the governor's accusers is in violation of state and federal law.
The governor "sexually harassed current and former new york state employees by engaging in unwelcome and non-consensual touching and making numerous offensive comments of a sexual suggestive nature that created a hostile work environment for women," the attorney general stated.
The report states that 11 women were sexually harassed including state employees and a New York State Trooper assigned to the unit to protect the governor. The investigators spoke to 179 individuals, including the governor's accusers, current and formers members of the Executive Chamber, troopers and other state employees.
Additionally, their probe looked into whether Cuomo had members of his family get prioritized, special access to COVID testing during the early stages of the pandemic last year, and potential misuse of state resources to produce and promote his published book covering the COVID-19 pandemic; the latter investigation made at the request of State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli.
The probe is not a criminal one, but the report released by the attorney general could significantly influence the state legislature's impeachment inquiry.

President Joe Biden said New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a fellow Democrat, should resign from office following a state attorney general report that alleged he engaged in a pattern of sexual harassment and intimidation that violated state and federal laws.
"I think he should resign," Biden said on Tuesday afternoon during a news conference, adding that "the state legislature may decide to impeach" him. A number of other New York Democrats, including the state's congressional delegation, called on Cuomo to step down.
Jen Psaki, the White House press secretary, told reporters before Biden's comments that she would leave discussing the allegations against Cuomo up to him.
"I don't know that anyone could have watched this morning and not found the allegations to be abhorrent. I know I certainly did," Psaki said. "All women who have lived through this type of experience, whether it is harassment or abuse or, in the worst case, assault, deserve to have their voices heard, deserve to be treated with respect and with dignity."

A report released by the New York attorney general's office said Roberta Kaplan, the cofounder of Time's Up, advised the Cuomo team about an op-ed the governor wrote to discredit Lindsey Boylan, a former Cuomo adviser who accused the governor of sexual misconduct in December 2020. A top Cuomo aide said Kaplan and Time's Up CEO Tina Tchen largely approved of the op-ed.
The piece, which was never published, "denied the legitimacy of Ms. Boylan's allegations, impugned her credibility, and attacked her claims as politically motivated," according to the attorney general's report.
The finding could undercut Kaplan and her organization's claims to be champions of the #MeToo movement. Kaplan and Tchen, a former Obama White House official, cofounded Time's Up in 2018, in the wake of allegations of sexual assault against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. The allegations against Cuomo are arguably the biggest #MeToo case in the past couple years.

Gov. Cuomo making last-ditch attempt to avoid impeachment
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo tried to cut a deal with the state Legislature — offering to drop his bid for a fourth-term in exchange for not getting impeached, The Post has learned.
But no one seems to be buying what the 63-year-old governor is selling.
The three-term Democrat made the dubious offer before Attorney General Letitia James' damning report on his conduct was released last Tuesday, according to a top party official.
"It was something that was floated to me by the folks in the Cuomo camp as a possible option before the attorney general's report came out," NYS Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs told The Post, adding, "I never saw it as a viable option."
Still, it looks like Cuomo and his winnowed-down inner circle haven't given up on the last-ditch effort to avoid impeachment.

Newly sworn in Governor Kathy Hochul on Wednesday acknowledged nearly 12,000 more deaths in the state of New York that had been previously disclosed by Andrew Cuomo.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul promised more government transparency on her first day in office, and by day's end her administration had quietly acknowledged nearly 12,000 more deaths in the state from COVID-19 than had been publicized by her predecessor, Andrew Cuomo.
New York now reports nearly 55,400 people have died of COVID-19 in New York, based on death certificate data submitted to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, up from about 43,400 that Cuomo had reported to the public as of Monday, his last day in office.

Andrew Cuomo was charged on Thursday with a misdemeanor sex crime related to forcible touching.

Cuomo also "utilized state resources and property, including work by Executive Chamber staff, to write, publish, and promote his book regarding his handling of the COVID-19 crisis — a project for which he was guaranteed at least $5.2 million in personal profit; and at the same time."
Additionally, the report concluded Cuomo was "not fully transparent regarding the number of nursing home residents who died as a result of COVID-19."
The Committee report confirms reporting that Cuomo ordered state Department of Health officials to prepare a report combatting criticism of his March 25 executive order to place COVID-19 patients in nursing homes. Investigators also found that Cuomo personally reviewed and edited the draft report multiple times and used misleading data to strengthen its defense of his actions.

CNN announced that it is suspending its star anchor Chris Cuomo as the network evaluates his conduct following stunning revelations from the New York Attorney General's investigation into his brother, ousted Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
"The New York Attorney General's office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo's involvement in his brother's defense," CNN began its statement Tuesday evening. "The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions. When Chris admitted to us he had offered advice to his brother's staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly. But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second."
"However," CNN continued, "these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother's efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation."

Cuomo now officially  fired by CNN
New York (CNN)CNN said Saturday that anchor Chris Cuomo has been "terminated" by the network, "effective immediately."
The announcement came after an outside law firm was retained to review information about exactly how Cuomo aided his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, when the then-governor was accused of sexual harassment.

On the contrary, they usually defend their own. That is until they can't. Think of Biden and sexual assault harrassment allegations.

Via NY Post:
Canned CNN host Chris Cuomo has fired back at the network — accusing his boss of knowing everything about his involvement in trying to quash ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo's sex scandal.
In a new statement, a spokesman for the fallen TV star threw his longtime ally CNN President Jeff Zucker under the bus, while insisting the journalist "has the highest level of admiration and respect" for him.
"They were widely known to be extremely close and in regular contact, including about the details of Mr. Cuomo's support for his brother," the spokesman told the Wall Street Journal Sunday of Chris Cuomo's shady support for his big brother as the governor's sex scandal unfolded.
"There were no secrets about this, as other individuals besides Mr. Cuomo can attest," the spokesman added.

The state Health Department intentionally "misled the public" about the number of nursing home deaths from COVID-19 to help burnish former Gov. Andrew Cuomo's reputation before a sexual harassment scandal forced him to resign in disgrace, according to a blistering comptroller's audit released Tuesday

Auditors found that DOH officials undercounted the death toll by at least 4,100 residents and at times by more than 50 percent, allowing Cuomo to repeatedly and falsely claim that New York was doing a better job than other states in protecting highly vulnerable seniors, the report says.
"While the Department's duty is to act solely to promote public health, we determined that, rather than providing accurate and reliable information during a public health emergency, the Department instead conformed its presentation to the Executive's narrative, often presenting data in a manner that misled the public," the report says.
DiNapoli also accused the DOH of hindering his probe by delaying the production of data requested by his office, limiting auditors' access to DOH staffers, not answering questions during meetings and not providing supporting documentation for its claims.

It does also say > "My office will continue to monitor nursing home conditions and ensure the safety of our most vulnerable residents."
