So far my favorite parcels do not have any hook ups.....and I really want that. Husband says it's not a huge deal because they have built on land that didnt have the hook ups. They built the cabin pretty much with trees from the property and added everything there. That took years.
Any house on lands in our desired areas would come with debt and/or be a money pit. We want to avoid debt
.....or at least decades of debt.
Wild, rural kids are the happiest kids lol.

Yes we all are over here. Michigan is a big hunting and camping state. Most here are outdoorsy.
I dont think you would enjoy our cities much. We have Detroit and Flint.....which are fun for a day on occasion.
We have the BEST small towns though. "City people" towns like Royal Oak, college towns like Ann Arbor, and country people small towns like Imlay and Holly.
There is something for everyone here, everytime I leave I miss it. I gotta have all 4 seasons.
Regardless of what the Glenn Close wanna be here claims.....MY kids hunt. So sitting in a deer blind in the snow for 18 hours is nothing for them and we spend a lot of time at the family cabin over the winter. We get lake effect here as well so if you go way up north in the winter it is cold and the snow drifts are HUGE. Best sledding! You can make huge forts in those things.

I have to assume that since you are a candidate for this kind of surgical treatment, hearing aids don't work for you or have severe limitations. One of my ears is worse than the other and its time to apply for this surgery...if I am an eligible candidate, then I will go thru a series of tests and I will be put on a wait list for the surgery...which will be 2 year wait time.
My hearing aids right now are bluetooth to my phone and other devices, so I have no need for headphones as I xan listen to music, tv, take phone calls, etc all hands free...this will be the same with the implant. So its kinda cool in a way...I dont need to buy those expensive ear buds and then lose them lol

I do charge quite a bit when doing a couple of hour instal gig.. Somewhere around 80 to 100 euros per hour.
It depends on the conditions.
But my full time hourly rates are considerably less than that.
I get night time, hazard, out of town, weekend, evening, holiday, unclean environment etc. Bonuses.
I do okay financially.
The average electrician rates seem to be 10k euros more in Canada.

As far as any part of the northwest pacific coast goes ... you can keep it. It's cold, it's wet and it smells like pine needles and mold. Lived there for eleven plus years and never could get used to it. The people are crazy too...liberal scum flourish like maggots on roadkill there.
I hate the West coast too. I rode my bike from Vancouver to Tijuana when I was twenty one. I t was messed up then, but not like today. I have stopovers in Seattle, San Fran, LAX, and of course Vancouver. I hate all of them.

That must have been written by an ignorant, lefty American. Our health care systrem is near the bottom of the G20. It's also unsustainable. I don't know a lot about BC's schools, but I assume they are okay. What I do know, is that schools in the greater Vancouver area are closing because middle class families with kids cannot afford to live there.
Vancouver is a great city--if you are a rich elitist liberal.

Lol this is Vancouver city, it's currently a money playground for the 1-2%s from China.
While in Toronto you can purchased a new house that is 10x better than that moldy old shack but only at 3/5 of the price .
Why the interest in Vancouver?
Okay, its a fine looking city at least in the pictures.. Beautiful view.
It's currently rated as the best city to live in, plus the closest Canadian city to Asia, less jet lag for astronaut families.
Vancouver is the most overrated city in Canada, possibly the world.
Sydney and Melbourne real estate people paint glowing reviews of returns from Vancouver, because we're not far behind in the unaffordable stakes and it's driven our smaller satellite cities hours away into a similar bracket despite no local work.
I know people who own a house 2-3 hours away and sleep in their vehicles or stay with family so they can return to their home on the weekends.... homes with perhaps an extra bedroom or two, and a bigger lawn, but they paid virtually the same as if they were living in a city that could employ them, and they chose to move to that. Not away.
I live a 60-90 minutes from the CBD on fast roads and I've seen what would have sold 20 years ago for 100-130k go for 500-600k now.... and nothing special.... a 3-4 bedroom 40-50 year old weatherboard clad shack.
Exponential mark up, and immigrants pool their money and lay in a dozen bunk beds. Price doesn't matter.

That's not a good situation..
Vancouver is no longer an option for working families and they leave the lower mainland entirely and move to places like Kamloops in the BC interior where work and affordable housing are possible..
Vancouver is a city for the wealthy and the very poor.....it's middle class is becoming extinct.
